After spending a long time in the city of London, I finally went straight to the city of St. Lves, a city that is also quite famous for its tourist icon.
" It's like the house I expected and it's in line with the picture they gave me"
In spirit I pulled the suitcase while half-running towards the house that would become my residence.
It's not so spacious but I'm quite happy because the house looks comfortable to live in.
I opened the door by pressing the password number that the homeowner had given me and so opened my smile wider.
I opened all the white sprays that intentionally covered all the furniture in my new house, this is to prevent dust sticking in terms of making me easy to clean.
" All is still clean, it's not in vain I asked for the services of a house cleaner a week ago,"
I then went into the room that would be my favorite place, the room that only measures 4 by 4 meters is enough to make me feel comfortable
It's a lot different to my room but I feel more comfortable here, away from the pressure and intimidation of the people around me.
I opened the curtains to get the lighting into the room, I breathed fresh air in my throat.
" The new thing is about to start and I'll be ready for it"
I woke up in a hurry, my first day for dance class is about to start this morning. Just a piece of bread and cold water I rushed to run to catch the bus that passed the school class pullu.
My breath was wheezing as I ran towards the drag class, I didn't want to be late on this first day let alone in a new environment with people I didn't know at all.
As I expected, I was late on my first day and I could see the dislike of Mrs Winnie as my teacher
" We are late Miss Delanie (in English)" said Mrs Winnie with a dislike look
" I'm sorry "i said as I looked at the dancers who were ready with their clothes on, luckily the lesson still hasn't started
" Hurry up or else it'll be like this at the next meeting"
I lowered my head as I walked towards the locker, I looked at the young girls who were smiling at me.
I don't know if it's a smile of hospitality or a smile of ridicule because I'm already late on the first day.
Before beginning Mrs Winnie's training provides a little guidance on discipline and quality of life, it must be because I am late so she must affirm that Discipline is the key to success.
The dance class started, Mrs Winnie told me to pay attention first so I could understand the rhythm before I started.
Actually the movement is not too difficult, even I have mastered it since I was in Indonesia.
I mingled with them and danced with them, my movements were not at all inferior so that it made Mrs Winnie quite satisfied to see me.
" Thank you" I said
" But it's just the beginning, we'll learn the real thing tomorrow"
Finally the lesson of the day was finished well and as a newcomer I started doing introductions with the other dancers.
It turned out that they were quite friendly even they praised me because I belonged to a pretty good dancer category.
I felt happy and relieved, actually I was so nervous because I felt a little worried about my first dance class.
It resulted in me not falling asleep until 2 am and I was late on the first day.
I also went home and wanted to have lunch soon, today's training was actually not too draining for me but because I only had breakfast with a piece of bread made me hungry faster.
I put my bag on the sofa just like that, I then headed towards the kitchen while thinking about which dishes I would eat
" If there was Bi Jida" I muttered unknowingly, only a few days apart from her did I miss that woman.
" Eat the egg just drop"
I then took out 2 eggs and started a fire. Between fear and nervousness I began to break the eggs and put them in hot oil.
" Serrrrrr"
Quite surprised I heard the sound of the oil hissing loudly, I was surprised because I was not used to doing it.
" This is the result if only tau eat only" I mean to myself
I remembered the advice of Bi Jida who always wanted me to learn to cook from her.
" Be a real lady Miss Delanie, you'll have a hard time getting married later"
" I'm not getting married Bi, I'm still in my 20s anyway, there's no way I'm getting married anytime soon"
The words of a few years ago re-echoed in my ears until I smelled the smell of the charred pans in front of me.
" Oh my God, I can burn" I said, turning off the stove
" I won't eat this" I said with a limp shoulder.
" Eat outside only"
I then chose to eat at a diner that was too far from my home complex, although the menu was not too included in my dictionary I had to accept it.
