44 - The Broken Promise

It's been over a month Daniel kept trying not to over serve Laras. He has even assigned one of his managers to help Laras in completing training in his company.

Laras is getting more aggressive towards him and Daniel doesn't like that. Daniel tried to find busy by visiting several companies. Rumors that began circulating in the office about his proximity to Laras were enough to make Daniel's head dizzy. Plus people are starting to get suspicious about her relationship and Calista. That's because they never saw their boss's wife again show up at the office or on the road together.

For Daniel his pride and good name are at stake in this. That's why he decided to avoid the Barrel.

He did not want Laras to misinterpret his attention all this time. To Daniel, Laras was just an ordinary friend. Not more! His feelings for the woman had been dead for a long time since their separation seven years ago.

Daniel drove his own car that day. He again wanted to let go of fatigue after inspecting one of his companies.

He decided to see for himself the situation of one of his swalays around there.

Daniel didn't realize that Laras' car was following him from behind. Laras did it because he wanted to ascertain the real cause Daniel began to avoid.

Calista who parked his car somewhat hidden suddenly startled with the voice of a woman who was already behind him. Calista turned around and was a little surprised to get a woman he had seen with Daniel at a cafe.

"Sorry, who are you?' Ask Calista.

"I'm Laras, Daniel's girlfriend. Please don't bother Daniel anymore. You have no ties anymore. Don't ever ask Daniel to meet you in secret again. I will not hesitate to act!" after saying those words, Laras immediately left before Calista who was still dumbstruck.

Kimberly suddenly remembered the incident that had just happened to her best friend.

"Oh yes, Mr. Daniel. Just for information, a few hours ago Calista called me. He is very upset and angry because your girlfriend named Laras met Calista and accused him of being a nondescript.
