03 - Old Friend Feels Brother

Calista arrived at the pick-up area, where he had been waiting for a red-haired girl to be painted. "Team!" shout Calista.

"Cal! OMG!" the two Old Friends hugged each other while jumping around.

"Well, you're so pretty now. I heard you've been successful in Taiwan." Kimberly smiled in amazement at her best friend.although separated for quite a long time, the brother-like friendship between them remains intertwined.every time Calista comes to Indonesia, Kimberly who helps him manage everything.

"Your apartment is safe, everything I've prepared" Kimberly said steadily.

Calista smile. "Thank you Kim. You are the best!"

"Actually last month there were some people who wanted to buy your apartment, but I said it was not sold because the owner often came to Indonesia. Oh yeah, thanks Cal, you left me your old apartment. Now I don't live anymore hitchhiking to my adoptive parents, even though they are very good but not good as old is still a parasite." Kimberly added with sincerity.

"We're the same as sodara, and you always help me when I get here. Don't be too shy, huh?" calista said with a dikulum smile.

"By the way, I just got a new job and definitely my salary is much higher than the old job" Kimberly said excitedly.

"Oh yeah? what position? Whereabouts?

"As a marketing assistant at the largest company today. I've been working for a week" Kim said with a smile.

Calista was happy. "Congratulations, buddy. I'm so happy for you. Tonight you will sleep in my apartment. We'll talk in the morning!"

Kim smiled back.

"Ready! I'll cook your favorite Balinese chicken"

They both walked towards the parking lot. Kimberly pulls Calista's suitcase in the back.

"About three years ago when I was last here, like the airport is not this grand, yes.now it's really cool new terminal" said Calista amazed.

"Yes, a lot has changed since your return. You anyway..has rarely been to Indonesia since your current company work." Kimberly was a little pouty.

"Do you have a boyfriend after Edward's departure?"

Calista just smiled wryly.

"What??? are you this young but tired of work? Ckckck.... Where can that be?"

Calista just grinned at the babble of his best friend.

Kimberly runs her car out of the airport area.

"When what are you? You got a special guy or you're still gonna change just?" Calista asked that instantly made Kimberly pout.

"Maybe I'll end up in a nursing home as a spinster."

Both of them laughed out loud. Kimberly is funny. Honey he's never been serious with any one man in all this time. Either he is too picky or he still wants to live free without any strings attached.

Unlike Calista who is not easy to fall in love. She is still traumatized by her story with Edward. Opening her heart to another man was not easy for her.

"Kim, as long as I work at my company right now, I've never taken a day off. I never had a vacation. That's why I said that I'm tired of work. I just want to break for a moment."

Kimberly nodded in understanding.

Calista took a deep breath..

"I'm here for work, not vacation. I really miss our childhood Kim."

They both smiled at each other. On the way to Calista's apartment, the two of them were fond of reminiscing about their childhoods while occasionally laughing loosely.
