Sariwati continued to pedal her train to Galuh banjar and Muhibbin who was sitting in the rear boncer still silent, but suddenly Sariwati stopped the train in her vehicle. The girl looked uneasy at what was before her,
"Why stop, Wati?"
"Are you tired, let me just pedal it." Muhibbin told Sariwati, the young man was seen coming down from his bonnet. Sariwati shook her head, her gaze still fixed forward.
"You see that, Bin! at the end of the village."
"Many Bhayangkara troops are on standby."
"Everything passing by is checked."
"This must be on the father's errand." exclaimed Sariwati, his index finger pointed at some Bhayangkara who were checking the people who would pass through the border of Batubulan village.
"Wire, Wati."
"There's not usually an examination like this."
"The way your father knows, is that you ran away from home."
"It is likely that the Bhayangkara were ordered to comb and search you all over the Coast Country."
muhibbin said to Sariwati who looked agitated beside him.
"this is the only way to the Galuh Banjar."
"Are we going back to Manguntur, Wati?"
"It's just that if we continue, it will definitely be discovered when we check the Bhayangkara troops."
a look of anxiety was on Muhibbin's face, and doubts were raised when he saw the inspection of Bhayangkara troops on the border of the village he was going through.
"Is there no other route than through this road, Bin?" sariwati asked Muhibbin, his gaze looked worried.
"There is, but that line can't be passed by the train."
"We have to pass by the banks of the river and the rice fields."
"We also have to walk around the hill and through the bamboo forest."
"It is only after passing through the bamboo forest that we will meet with a large road." Muhibbin's index finger is seen leading to a small hill in front of him and a hoard of bamboo trees that look green in the distance.
"Then we'll just go through there, Bin."
"If we go back to Manguntur, I am afraid that Bhayangkara troops will also come to Pak Nengah's house." exclaimed Sariwati as he continued to look at the hill in front of him.
"Obviously I don't want to go back to my father's house, Bin."
"I don't want to marry that man,"
"You'll know how I feel about you." the girl added to the young man beside her, a clear dew began to appear on both of her eyelids.
Muhibbin patted his girlfriend on the back.
"Here you go, there's no need to cry."
"we will continue this journey and I will always accompany you."
"Don't forget, I'm Raden Arjuna and you're Dewi Subadra."
"No one can separate us."
Said Muhibbin jokingly melt the atmosphere to strengthen the heart of his lover even though in the young man there are fears of his escape with Sariwati at this time.
The lady nodded Hearing Muhibbin's joke, she began to smile and wipe away her tears.
"We should hurry before the Bhayangkara see us" Muhibbin concluded.
Muhibbin's hand holding Sariwati stepped down among the rice fields in front of him. The train he was driving was left just like that on the edge of the road, seen the young man walking in front followed by Sariwati behind him.
After some time down the rice fields, seen in front of them a river with clear water and not so big currents splitting the rice fields which are the boundary of Batubulan village, the two began along the river that separates the Manguntur banjar with the Galuh banjar region.
The sun was getting hotter and after some time both of them looked tired, walking down the river bank made the energy both drained.
"Are you tired, Wati?" said Muhibbin saw a pale face full of fatigue on his lover, the girl shook her head and with a hand gesture told Muhibbin to continue his steps but Muhibbin took her and invited Sariwati to sit on a rock on the edge of the river where the current was not so swift.
"Rest first, you look tired."
"From last night you haven't slept,"
"Put yourself down for a moment to reduce your fatigue." looks Muhibbin spread a turban that is always coiled around his neck as a base for Sariwati to relax.
"I'm fine, Bin"
"We should continue the journey." exclaimed Sariwati to Muhibbin. The girl intends to stand back up.
"Here you go, you rest first."
"I know you're tired."
"the journey we took was quite far away."
"Take the energy back, there's no harm in us stopping."
"Perhaps later before Sandikala we will enter the Galuh banjar." imuh Muhibbin pulled Sariwati's hand while opening the backpack she carried, the young man was seen taking out some packages that turned out to contain fruit and dried bread.
"Eat first, so that there is little energy intake for your body."
"Sadi Sekar had time to prepare the provision of travel for us" said the young man back while holding out the apple in his hand to Sariwati. The girl shook her head, her eyes staring at Muhibbin.
"I don't want to eat alone, I see you also since last night have not had time to touch food to fill your stomach" said Sariwati ketus, the girl was seen turning her face away from the gaze of Muhibbin.
"You don't have to think about me."
"I'm not hungry yet."
"Take this fruit, it adds energy to you." exclaimed Muhibbin again.
"Wouldn't! said the girl was sniffled. His face was now downcast and his fingers were playing the tip of his veil.
"Hi, you stubborn bastard."
"Well, I'll keep you eating."
"What fruit do you want bread for?" muhibbin asked the girl sitting next to him.
"I want that." answered Sariwati while pointing at the apple in Muhibbin's hand.
The young man was seen reaching for something from behind his backpack back, a small dagger was picked up and the fruit was peeled.
"Here, eat." said Muhibbin holding out the peeled fruit towards Sariwati, the girl took it and enjoyed the apple in her hand, his gaze was fixed on Muhibbin who was still busy peeling the skin of the fruit in his hand, a thin smile was on his face that saw a lover who was very attentive to him.
Unknowingly his hand touched the haircut dangling on Muhibbin's forehead. What Sariwati did made Muhibbin surprised but happy, his gaze pointed at the girl ayu beside him with a smile.
"What's up, Wati?" muhibbin's eyes were still on his lover.
"it's okay, Bin"
"Thank you, yeah!"
"For so long you have been good to me." said the girl softly, the gaze of the two are still adrift, there is a reddened hue on Sariwati's cheek to make her bow again.
The girl continued to play the tip of her veil to remove her disturbing and mixed feelings, seeing that Muhibbin clasped her lover's hand,
"Do you regret knowing me, Wati?" muhibbin said softly while staring meaningfully.
"If this makes your life miserable, I'm sorry Wati."
"Whatever you need to know and you can hold my word, I will try my hardest to make you happy."
"I cannot offer you abundant wealth or high standing but I make sure your life will be worthy like the wives of others." Muhibbin told Sariwati.
"Stop, Bin."
"don't you say that."
"I will not regret accompanying you even in a state of deprivation."
"Living with you for the rest of our ages is enough for me" the girl told the young man before her. His eyes looked at Muhibbin who was beside him, there were shivers that suddenly infiltrated his heart.
The girl inched closer to Muhibbin, her face close to Muhibbin's face, and her lips softened. His hands were writhing between Muhibbin's shoulders, kulum*an by kulum*an cradled the two young in an ocean of longing among the chirping of wild birds and the gurgling of the surrounding river water.
"I love you, Bin." said Sariwati lirih ending her kiss to the lover. His face was red as a pomegranate seed and his smile was on the corner of his lips.
"Let's continue our journey, Bin."
"Hopefully we do not find any more Bhayangkara after breaking through the bamboo forest" Sariwati said covering up his awkwardness to Muhibbin.
Both of them continued their journey along the river bank and broke through the bamboo forest in front of them to the Galuh banjar residence of Resi Giri Waja.
While in Banjar Manguntur residence Jero Perbekel Nengah Wirata.
"Strong, Light!"
"You please check Suratmi's condition."
"In the meantime the ajik will visit Sirkun at his residence."
"There is something that needs to be conveyed and ask for his consideration." exclaimed Mr. Nengah to the two girls in front of him. The two nodded their heads to see the middle-aged man moving from Dangin Hall to get out of his house.
The wind train that rested on the side of the house was riding towards the city of the State Beach.
The two girls were just silent staring at the departure of Mr. Nengah, and a moment later Light headed to Suratmi's room at the companion of the Holy Kingdom while Sekar headed towards the kitchen to prepare food for bu Suratmi.
***
That day was very hot as if the Sun showed its power, its bright light seemed to burn everything in front of it. Three speeding trains were splitting the streets of Manguntur, right in a house not far from a building banjar hall the three stopped.
"We've arrived."
"This is Sekar's house, Brother, Di!" a girl told her two friends.
"Let's go in." added the girl, seen she leaned back her iron vehicle before stepping into the yard in follow her two friends.
"Swastiastu!"
"Swastiastu!" said the girl came back after being inside the house she was visiting.
"Swastiastu!" I heard an answer from behind the house. A young girl walked towards the front of her house.
"Sister Rizza!"
"Diera!"
The girl's strangulation was none other than the thumb of the owner of the house when she saw the three guests.
"What wind brought you here?" said sekar while smiling at his friends.
"Can't we come here?" disya answered with a small laugh at Sekar.
"Tumben alone, you three come."
"How are you all doing?" sekar hugged his three friends.
The girls chuckled at Sekar's surprise at his newsless arrival first.
"Hi, aren't you welcome to sit."
"It's a big brother of yours." said one of the women in purple hooded which is none other than Puan Rizza while pinching Sekar's cheek.
"Oh yeah forget, let's sit down."
"What do you want to drink?" said Sekar with a smile,
"No need to bother."
"Just take out all the contents of your house." said Diera chimed in Sekar and the caribs also laughed again.
Now go back to the kitchen and bring a jug of cold water to quench the thirst of his friends.
Low boisterous laughter and chatter in Dangin hall was enlivening the atmosphere of the house that initially looked quiet.
Suddenly from a room in the Dauh hall, a girl came out to the people in the Dangin hall of the house,
"There's a guest, Gek?" the Light said to Sekar when he was near them.
"Yes Ma'am Yu, these are my comrades in Pasraman." replied Sekar on Light.
"Oh yes, introduce this Ms. Yu Cahaya." added Sekar introduced Light to his friends, one by one the girls greeted the Light that stood before them.
"I'm Disya, Ms. Yu." Disya said as Light shook her hand.
"Light." said Light to the girl in front of him, his gaze looking at the face of ayu Disya who was smiling at him.
The two of them closely looked at each other as if they knew each other for a long time but nowhere.
Seeing that Sekar again said to his followers.
"Mbak Yu Cahaya is Muhibbin's brother" Sekar said slowly to Puan Rizza, Disya and Diera.
Disya's eyes widened after hearing Sekar's words, as if in disbelief the girl rose from her seat and drew closer to the Light.
"Bak Yu Light?" squealing the girl to the Light, the three friends stared at the astonishment of the change in behavior that Disya showed.
"Is this indeed Mrs Yu Light?" returned say.
The light that also accompanied the astonishment with the change in attitude Disya just nodded her head.
"Sir Yu, it's Karina."
"Daughter of the master of Samarta." said Disya softly resisting the sobs of novelty.
"Bak Yu forgot me?"
"Karina Sector Seven hamlets Kali Gedang slopes Ijen!" he reminded the Light in front of him.
"Marina?"
"Karina Larasati?" pekik Light,
"Is this really you, brother? Karina Larasati the daughter of lord Samarta of the Coconut Country?" he returned as if he did not believe the figure of the girl in front of him.
"Betul Mbak Yu, it's me." said Disya while hugging Light with tears.
Both Sekar, Puan Rizza, and Diera were stunned by what was happening before him.
The change in attitude of the two women confirmed the two knew each other, the two people still hugging while sobbing.
As if not wanting to disturb the Light and Disya, the three characters were only silent even though in their minds there were still question marks.
"Friends, Ms. Yu Cahaya is a close friend of mine before I moved to this country" Disya told her three friends.
"Let's go, Madam Yu," Disya's hand took Light to sit next to her."
"I, Muhibbin and Ms. Yu Cahaya are old friends."
"We once grew up together on a coffee plantation in the mountains of Ijen" Disya said briefly.
The girl recounted at length her friendship with the Muhibbin family and Cahaya during her time on the slopes of Ijen until her move to the Flood Country with her family.
His three best friends smiled and heard Disya's story.
"What's the news about Yu?"
"How are you, Mom?" ask Disya on Light then.
"I'm fine, Rin."
"Mom's just sick now" replied the Light
"Sick, Miss Yu?"
"Where is he now?" tanya Disya is back.
"He's here, Rin."
"We've been here almost a week" Light replied, the girl started to tell Disya everything back, both about the cause of his mother's illness Suratmi and about the intention of his arrival to the Coast Country with the aim of applying for Sariwati as Muhibbin's wife, to the escape of Muhibbin and Sariwati who are now out of nowhere.
Hearing the story of Light, there is a sense of anger due to jealousy in the heart of Disya, visible from the mimic changes of his face that can not be hidden.
"Muhibbin is outrageous."
"When I remind you, don't hang out with that woman."
"He only had a bad influence on Muhibbin." muttered Disya softly restraining her anger.
The light with a flat face said,
"Yes how else, Rin."
"My sister seems to love that woman very much."
"I actually did not agree after knowing the background of the Wati family, let alone the humiliation of his papi to all of us."
"I cannot restrain or forbid Muhibbin to love the woman" Light said with a deep sigh.
"But yeah, that's it."
"Everything's happened."
"We'll see how it ends" concluded Light.
Everything in that place was silent with their own thoughts.
There was a sense of annoyance and haru after hearing the story of Light in their respective hearts.
"Then what about you, Rin?"
"Why did your name turn into Disya?"
"How are Mr Samarta and Ms Hilda?"
"Your brother, who is that? emm, Ardi and Diondra, huh?" ask the Light in Thereya.
The girl silently bowed and her tears came back. His voice was heavy among his cries. There were tears soaking her cheeks with a handkerchief.
"They're gone, Ms. Yu."
"Since father's move to the Flood Country, a year after the disaster befell our family."
In his talk Disya tells how the incident of a horse-drawn carriage accident that claimed the lives of all his family without rest until the change of his name and how he lived in distress until finally Sirkum sir took care of him and invited him to move the State Beach.
All that was in that place was wide-eyed not expecting such a heavy test to befall his best friend, and the heartbreaking happenings experienced by Disya and her family.
One by one the parishioners hugged Disaya who was still crying, as a sign of concern and grief.
"That's it, Rin."
"You must be strong."
"It's hard to lose the people we care about."
"Mr Yu has also experienced that."
"But we must all rise and not dissolve in sorrow."
"We pray for all our families who have gone before us, may they be placed in the best place by God's side" the Light told Disya, in the arms of the sobbing girl in front of her.
Before long the five girls again engaged in a warm conversation and told each other about their respective circumstances.
"Sir Yu, can we take a look at Mom's situation?" pinta Disya on Light.
The light just nodded towards Disya and her comrades. A moment later they moved from Dangin Hall to the room where Suratmi lay.
