CONFINEMENT
CH 139 - RINAI RAINS AT THE DROUGHT END OF PART III

The day went on in the afternoon, the residence of Gung Niang Mirah seemed deserted, only to be seen in the courtyard of the house that is still busy with packing medicinal ingredients in the sun.

A horse-drawn carriage stopped right at the door of the house, an old man dressed beautifully as the Priyayi-priyayi of the Coast State got off the carriage, behind him stood an old man who kept bowing before his master.

"Landep, is this really the Physician's house?" ask the man to his servant.

"Yes, big sir."

"This is the residence of the physician Gung Niang Mirah who has made a concoction of medicine for Ni Mas Wati" replied the servant respectfully.

"It seems that this house is deserted, do you not make an appointment with the Physician if we are going to come here." asked the man who was none other than Mr. Bendowo as he swept his gaze around the house of Gung Niang Mirah.

"Here you go, sir."

"The last time I picked up a medicinal herb, I told you that you would visit this place" We Landep replied back.

Both of them were silent for a moment, but suddenly the door opened.

An old woman dressed in all white with a smile came out from inside the house.

"There are guests."

"Why don't you come in, We."

"Let's go in, sir." said the owner, nodding respectfully to his guests.

We Landep replied to the nod of the house owner's head while saying.

"I don't think Gung Niang is in Jero."

"Because it looks like this residence is deserted." We Landep replied to the old woman before him.

"My house has always been quiet like this, We."

"You know for yourself, I only live alone with my granddaughter." replied the old woman who was none other than Gung Niang Mirah.

"Oh yeah, why do we keep talking here."

"Let's go in, We."

"Let's sir, please go into this simple hut of mine." Gung Niang Mirah told Mr. Bendowo.

The old man smiled, though,

"Not necessarily Sungkan Ni Sanak, this place is very beautiful, I like the atmosphere like this." replied Mr. Bendowo as he stepped following Gung Niang Mirah, we Landep was seen unloading a responsibility-sized wooden box from inside the horse carriage.

The view of Mr. Bendowo continues to observe the entire area of the residence Gung Niang Mirah, in the corners of the yard looks a variety of flower plants grow neatly, some Japanese trees look graceful, look elegant, while in the middle of the yard there are several bamboo halls to dry medicinal plants.

"Let's sir, please sit."

"I'm back for a minute" Gung Niang Mirah told Mr. Bendowo.

"No need to bother with this Sanak."

"I came in addition to taking medicinal herbs, also to thank Ni Sanak directly for his help with my sick daughter" Bendowo told Gung Niang Mirah.

"That's my duty as a physician, sir."

"Master need not hesitate, for a moment I will go back first to prepare a drink while taking the order of the master" said Gung Niang Mirah leaving his two guests.

No matter how long Gung Niang Mirah returned to bring the medicinal herbs that had been dried, behind him Disya followed with a tray containing drinks for the treats of the two guests who had just arrived.

But the young woman's face changed to see the two strangers in front of her, her face lowered to hide her surprise.

"Just put it on the drink table, Ning" Gung Niang Mirah told Disya, the young lady simply nodded and immediately passed to the back of the house after putting down a drink for the guests of Gung Niang Mirah.

From behind the wall, Disya stood while squeezing the end of her danger, there was a sense of indignation after knowing who had come to visit the house.

"It's a good thing they don't recognize me, especially that maid."

"So apparently that person ordered the medicinal herbs all along." muttered Disya in heart. His chest seemed to burn knowing that the drug was the Sariwati family.

"I'm very grateful for Ni Sanak's help all this time."

"I did not expect after a long time looking for a cure to all corners of the Emerald Kingdom for the healing of my daughter even in this Beach Country I found the cure."

"Thanks to the medicinal herbs that Ni Sanak gave me, my current daughter is gradually improving her condition."

"We and our family are almost desperate for the pain that our daughter is suffering from and fortunately thanks to Landep's information about Ni Sanak's skills, our daughter is now able to move her limbs." mr. Bendowo said to Gung Niang Mirah, while Disya was still eavesdropping behind the walls of the room.

"There's no need to praise me that high, sir."

"As a physician it is my duty to help everyone in need."

"Maybe this has been outlined by the Great Hyang and I am only the intermediary of the divine help for the Lord's daughter." replied Gung Niang Mirah while commenting on his smile.

Mr. Bendowo smiled at the old woman's reply before him.

"This is just a gift to Ni Sanak, perhaps not comparable to Ni Sanak's help to our family."

"I hope Ni Sanak will take it." said Mr. Bendowo back while holding out a medium-sized wooden box towards Gung Niang Mirah.

"What is this, sir?"

"Master didn't have to bother giving me all this." replied Gung Niang Mirah who seemed hesitant to receive the wooden box from Mr. Bendowo.

"It's okay, Ni Sanak."

"I hope Ni Sanak accepts it."

"This little parcel is nothing compared to Ni Sanak's help to us."

"And my wife prepared all this, I hope Ni Sanak doesn't mind." replied Mr. Bendowo back.

With a heavy heart, Gung Niang Mirah received the wooden box given by her guest and placed it beside her seat.

"How about the salt water immersion I told We Landep, is it still done by your daughter?" ask Gung Niang Mirah.

"If possible, bring your daughter here."

"I will provide therapy directly so that the healing process of pain suffered by your daughter is faster" he added to the guest.

"Everything Ni Sanak encouraged us to do."

"And if it is not troublesome Ni Sanak, at any time Landep who will pick up Ni Sanak to visit my place or my daughter will come here to do treatment directly." answer Mr. Bendowo to the owner of the house.

Back Gung Niang Mirah smiled, saying,

"Thank God, sir."

"Because the salt water immersion will speed up the healing process of your daughter."

"And later if your daughter comes here, I will be treated by soaking in the beach sand and massage on her nerve points."

"Hopefully in that way the health condition of your daughter can return as usual" concluded Gung Niang Mirah.

The three continued to chat in the living room of the Physician's residence, while behind the walls Disya continued to stand listening to the conversation between Gung Niang Mirah and Mr. Bendowo, his face looks tangled knowing who is suffering from paralysis and helped all this time by Gung Niang Mirah and himself.

After a long time finally the two guests say goodbye to the owner of the house, it appears Gung Niang Mirah ushered the lords of Bendowo and We Landep to the front of the panggul-angkul residence.

From the front door of the house, Disya observed the three and before long Gung Niang Mirah approached her.

He looked at the young woman's face carefully and the woman's physician said,

"You why, Ning?"

"Your face looks tangled like that." said the old woman to Disya, but the Sirkun master's daughter fell silent without a word.

"Our guest gave Niang a gift."

"Let's open the wooden box and see what's inside, Ning." asked Gung Niang Mirah as he sat in his living room chair.

With a flat face Disya opened the wooden box in front of him, how surprised Gung Niang Mirah saw the contents of the wooden box given by his guest but not so with Disya, the young woman looked at him flatly without expression of surprise.

"A lot of gold jewelry and money given to our guest, Ning."

"In fact, Niang did not expect all this, the expertise in Niang's medicine was only to run darma and help people in need without hoping for rewards like this" Gung Niang Mirah told Disya.

"Yes maybe people like them measure sincerity and help others with the reel of treasure, Niang." replied Disya quietly, there was a sense of dislike that touched the young woman's heart.

"You don't say that."

"Maybe their purpose in giving all these gifts is really sincere as a thank you."

"With that much money and jewelry we can buy medicinal ingredients and we use them to help others without taking any rewards."

"You know for yourself, not all who seek treatment to this place from among the people."

"Many people can not pay for their health, let alone for treatment, for daily meals they are still eager to look for it."

"With the gift of Mr. Bendowo, maybe we can ease the burden of the poor who need our help" said Gung Niang Mirah gave an understanding to Disya, while the young lady was just speechless without a word uttered from her lips.

"One day we will need that gift."

"What about the other medicinal herbs, Ning?" ask the old woman back.

"Some of us still haven't dried Niang's sun."

"And there are some rare plants that have been depleted in stock." replied Dista lyirih before stepping into the room carrying a wooden box in his hand.

"If it is like that, tomorrow morning we visit Griya Manuaba."

"Niang had not seen Sri Resi Giri Waja for a long time."

"In addition to buying some medicinal ingredients, Niang will discuss something with him" said Gung Niang Mirah from the living room.

"Well, Niang." Disya replied briefly from inside the room.

"Go you guys .. go!"

"You must be a member of that wicked woman!"

"Why are you here .. go you!" a man shouted while throwing whatever was in the room to the people around him.

"Gus, it's Ajik!"

"Do you not recognize us anymore."

"Didn't you recognize this girl, too?"

"This is your nephew, Gus." said the middle-aged man to the young man before him, while the black-hooded teenage girl next to him continued to sob at the condition of the man in front of him.

"Sir Lik, this is Raya Pak Lik."

"Sir Lik is conscious!"

"This is Mr. Lik's Kingdom!" said the teenager wanted to get closer to the man who was still rampaging in front of him, but the old man who was none other than Gus Aji Putra held him back.

"Hold, Ning."

"For a while don't approach your uncle first."

"Him self still does not remember who we are" the old man told the Sacred Kingdom.

While the hysterical man in front of him continued to throw whatever he achieved at the people in the room.

The swearing was thrown from his mouth as if he was blowing the burden of feeling that was in his responsibility.

"Go you!"

"You're all criminals!"

"Go!" yelled the man who was none other than Muhibbin.

"Son .. I think if left like that, he will hurt himself." said one old man to Gus Aji Putra.

"Yes, Brother."

"Then what should we do, brother?" ask Gus Aji Putra to an old man who is none other than the Resi Giri Waja.

"We'd better make a pair for the boy."

"That would be better for his condition, let alone his broken leg bone not healing properly."

"He will hurt himself if we don't do something" the Rishi told Gus Aji Putra.

The Rishi leaped towards Muhibbin, with a quick movement of the old man's fingers against Muhibbi's body and made the young man fall unconscious on the ground floor.

The rush of Gus Aji Putra was assisted by Arsana carrying Muhibbin's body and lay it on a bamboo hall with pandan mats in the room.

The Holy Kingdom who saw the condition of the uncle continued to cry in the arms of Sekar who was also powerless to hold his cry.

Not long after the Rishi said, again,

"Arsana .. cut the palanquin tree behind our Asram and make a pot for your brother, this is for the sake of your brother's healing as well." rishi Giri Waja orders Arsana who stands not far from the two old men.

Arsana nodded lightly at the teacher who had raised her,

"Both Father Rishi." answered Arsana briefly and respectfully, the young man rushed out of the room where Muhibbin was.

While Muhibbin was still in a state of fainting and now it appears that the Holy Kingdom wiped the face of the uncle with a wet cloth he held. The teenage girl continued to cry to see the condition of the uncle who was drooping unconscious. The atmosphere of the room was again quiet and the people who were in that place were silent with their respective thought grooves.

"Son .. There's something I want to tell you, come with me." said the Rishi Giri Waja breaking the silence of the room.

"Sekar, Dayu .. you stay here to accompany Raya, Kakiang stay for a while." said the Resi back to the two women who stood stunned beside Raya who wiped her uncle.

Arriving outside the room, the Resi again said to Gus Aji Putra.

"The psychiatric condition of the child is getting worse, Son."

"Now we need the help of those close to him."

"If we let it sit for too long I'm afraid his physical condition will deteriorate and it can be fatal to him" said Resi Giri Waja to his sister.

"I understand what you mean."

"Since the abandonment of his parents and brother and their natural death, it has had a profound effect on the child's psyche."

"His wife-to-be until now does not know where the limb is."

"The torture when he was held captive by the Red Garuda gang at that time aggravated the burden he was borne."

"Only a miracle can heal him at this time, Brother." replied Gus Aji Putra softly, the old man's face looked gloomy in front of the brother.

"You're a healer and your brother doesn't doubt your abilities"

"But is there no other way but to the attention of those closest to him as you say, Son?" ask Resi Giri Waja back.

Gus Aji Putra just shook his head.

"The medicinal banquet can only cure his physical pain, sis."

"Besides the people closest to him there's no other way we can do it."

"Unless we can find his future wife who disappeared and bring the two together maybe it's a chance for his recovery" said Gus Aji Putra.

"But wait, brother!"

"There's one more way but I'm not sure it will work." Gus Aji Putra said.

"What is the Son?" asked the Resi while observing her sister's face.

With a sigh Gus Aji Putra again said.

"Sariwati and her son, sister."

"I've heard from Sekar's sister, if Muhibbin has actually had a child with the daughter of the former Governor of the Coast Country."

"Said mister Timoti's daughter was also sick since the process of delivery eight years ago."

"But I'm not sure Bendowo will allow him to meet the boy" Gus Aji Putra said with a sigh.

"So that girl, yeah."

"I know what you're thinking."

"The two of them used to live here for a while."

"It was before the death of Jero Perbekel Nengah Wirata and the mother and sister of the child."

"At that time I also told Muhibbin and Sariwati that their relationship would not be easy."

"And Sariwati said goodbye to me leaving this place and returning to her family."

"But there's no harm in us trying everything, Son."

"You take care of the young man, I myself will ask the gods for guidance for the good of the child."

"Go back inside, I will go to the worship room to do semadi." said Resi Giri Waja to his sister, the old man stepped out of Gus Aji Putra who was still standing outside the room where Muhibbin was being treated.
