CH 51 - THE TEACHER'S PUNISHMENT

After being satisfied to give up longing with his mother, brother and nephew, Muhibbin stepped out of the room with Kyai Basori and Light.

"Raya, you're here first! accompany mbah uti, ma'am lik and pak lik out first come with mbah kyai!" light said to the little girl beside him.

"Yes, madam." said the Holy Kingdom.

the three left Suratmi lying in the company of the Holy Kingdom. After arriving at the living room of the residential building of Kyai Basori not far from the daughter, the middle-aged man allowed the brothers in front of him to sit down.

"Ibbin, I know your return is not immediate or sudden! you must have brought us the news you had to tell us in person" Kyai Basori began the conversation.

"Silence of dawuh, mbah kyai. My return because there is something that I have to convey directly to the panjenengan especially to the mother and mbak yu." replied Muhibbin with a bowed face ta'dzim to his teacher.

From the age of seven years after the return of his extended family from the slopes of ijen, he, Muhibbin began studying and settled in the Al Amin boarding school where the kyai Basori taught until the age of nineteen and he decided to migrate to the Beach Country for his family life ten years ago.

"Something seems important so that you don't tell mbak yu by letter and you have to convey it directly, le?" the light began to ask.

"Metul mbak yu!" muhibbin is starting to sob.

"Actually I myself am still heavy with what I am going to say, given the state of the mother and the state of mbak yu also at this time." the young man further buried his face.

"Since when have you been a doubter, Bin?"

"I've never taught you to hesitate in your actions or have you made a big mistake? until the firmness of your soul wavers!" tegur kyai Basori cold.

Hearing the teacher's reprimand, Muhibbin felt increasingly guilty about what he did with his lover Sariwati. The young man's mind was upset especially with the circumstances that befell his mother and the circumstances of his older sister who was still single.

The Sound of Light scattered the daydream of Muhibbin, the,

"Say le, what caused you to suddenly go home?" said Light to his youngest brother.

Myai Basori's eyes stared fixedly at his student.

"I am in the Beach Country acquainted with a girl, Mbah kyai." said Muhibbin hesitated.

"Then?"

"Do you want to marry her?" said the kyai cut Muhibbin's answer that looks nervous and doubtful.

"Don't you say you've done things that religion forbids?" kyai Basori.

Muhibbin grew increasingly nervous and did not dare to raise his face with the question of the middle-aged man in front of him.

Suddenly Kyai Basori got up and the victim on his shoulders was firmly pushed repeatedly into the body of Muhibbin. Seeing the change in attitude of the kyai, the Light gasped.

"Children don't know shit, I never taught you to break religious teachings!" pekik the kyai. The swing of the turban continuously hit the body of Muhibbin.

Muhibbin could only bow and grimace in pain due to the storming of his teacher.

"I'm sorry, Mbah kyai." exclaimed softly Muhibbin while sobbing.

The light that saw the events in front of him grew curious and wondered inwardly.

"You must take responsibility for your actions, Bin!"

"Go and clean your body! please forgive Allah and pray repentance!"

"Chant the Qur'an forty-one times, before it is finished, do not ever leave the mosque without cause or even for food, all you have done is jinayah even in the category of ghoiru muhshon and I did not expect you to dare to do that." exclaimed kyai Basori straightforwardly, glaring his eyes cold with a reddened face restraining growl.

Kyai Basori left the two without a word. The light that had been astonished to see the change in attitude towards Muhibbin began to incline closer to his sister.

"What are you doing, Bin? so that makes Mbah kyai wrathful."

"Say, Bin!"

"Say!"

Screech the Light while shaking his sister's shoulder that continues to sob.

"I have committed a great sin, mbak yu."

"I've done what I shouldn't have done."

With a sobbing Muhibbin told from the beginning to the end of his introduction to Sariwati and what had happened and they did at Villa Sandat that night.

"Astaghfirullah, Bin!" if you know this how disappointed he is in you.

"What's in your head, so you can do all this to that girl?" light is full of disappointment.

"Didn't you think when you were going to do it? you have a sister, your niece is a girl. Don't you think it happened to your family?"

"A woman who loses her crown and honor before marriage is like a bottle of drink that has lost its seal and will fall in price,"

"Bak Yu is disappointed in you, Bin!" concluded Light.

"I'm sorry, mbak yu."

"I'm khilaf,"

"And please don't tell my mom about what I did to Sariwati,"

"I beg you, mbak yu!" muhibbin kissed his brother's palm.

"You must take responsibility, Bin!"

"Take your punishment as it is bawuhkan mbah kyai!" The powerless light held back her tears, a deep sense of disappointment she felt over the behavior of her youngest sister.

The woman pulled her hand from Muhibbin's embrace and got up leaving the young man alone.

Muhibbin was just rueful about regretting his mistakes.

***

Almost a week Muhibbin carried out his teacher's punishment and during that time he did not move from the mosque to finish what the teacher ordered even if only to fill the stomach or just defecate.

He continued to be immersed in the recitations of the sacred verses he recited. Even forty-one times closed the Quran the body of Muhibbin limbung and fell unconscious due to holding hunger and thirst during his sentence in front of the mihrab where he metadjadjad.

In his subconscious, he,

a bright light flashed before his eyes. Muhibbin seemed to be in a very foreign place and only seen a stretch of green grass in front of him.

The young man set his foot on the expanse of grass until he arrived at a tree that only grew the only one in that place.

"Where am I?" muhibbin murmured in his heart, a sense of tiredness in the young man's natural. He sat down exhausted and leaned under that lush tree.

Suddenly out of nowhere, two old men approached him.

"Assalamualaikum, Mas Boy!" the two men greeted the exhausted Muhibbin.

"Waalaikum salam, eyang." replied Muhibbin ta'dzim to the two old men who greeted him.

"Please have Nak Mas sit down!" said one of the two. The two men sat in front of Muhibbin.

Looking at the two strangers, Muhibbin asked,

"Who are these two?" reemerged.

The two men smiled at Muhibbin.

"You are now in the realm of Muhdhaf, Nak Mas."

"We are the servants of God who only live out His decree" replied one of the old men who wear a robe and head covering imamah, while one who uses a sorjan and nape only smiled thinly.

"My name is Abdullah and this is my best friend Mr. Parameswara" the old man said.

Muhibbin only stared at the shady faces of the two men in front of him, his mouth locked, unable to say anything.

"Sir Mas Muhibbin, what you have done is a great mistake, but you need not be discouraged and despair of Allah's mercy and His forgiveness, as long as you truly repent God's almighty God will forgive all your mistakes." said the old man known as Abdullah.

"True Nak Mas, as long as you want to change to a good path, then Sang Hyang Tunggal will forgive you" said the scribe known as Parameswara.

"Ngestoaken dawuh, eyang." replied Muhibbin ta'dzim.

"Remember and know the good light, you have to keep uling lan waspodo in order to always get safety in the face of the universe," said eyang Parameswara full of meaning.

"These magad are divided over the great Buana and Buana Alit and they are not separated from His power."

"As Mahotama Man, we must keep in mind where we come from and what we should do and know what we should not do." wejang eyang Parameswara told Muhibbin.

The young man could only be silent to what the old man said in front of him, While the eye of Abdullah next to him only occasionally smiled.

"Remember this message as a guide and your ugeman in living life," said the scorched man back."

"Silence dawuh, eyes." replied Muhibbin briefly.

"Amati, man, learn and take his wisdom about what is in the universe and it contains this as your Great Buana which is outside your flesh and pull in and learn to take wisdom about what is who is in you as your Buana Alit." said the old man back.

"I will distribute my true manungso lover to you" said eyang parameswara.

Muhibbin nodded his head at Parameswara's eyes.

With a deep sigh the old man gave advice and advice to Muhibbin who was still listening carefully.

"Now go home, good light! go back to your original nature!" now Eyang Abdullah raised his voice.

Muhibbin who was still confused by the atmosphere and the place he visited could only nod his head. He took the hands of the old man before him and kissed him.

"I'm saying goodbye, eyang."

"Thank you for all the advice of the two" concluded the young man.

"Go back to where you came from, Nak Mas." said Parameswara.

Muhibbin's eyes closed because of the glare of the light in front of him, lamat-goal heard a call that was familiar to him, he heard,
