CH 53 - RETURN TO COASTAL LAND

The time did not feel alternated, almost a month since the return of Muhibbin to the State of Batu Serpent, seen three people were conversing in the living room to the daughter of Al Amin pesantren.

"Mbak Yu is sure to follow your son to the Beach Country, your condition is still not so good, Mbak yu?" kyai Basori told Suratmi.

"My situation is better, Adi Mas Kyai. It's about my son's future, how would my prospective wife respond if I didn't attend Muhibbin's wedding?" suratmi insisted.

The two were involved in a debate about the departure to the Beach Country, Suratmi insisted on joining the Beach Country after learning that her youngest son intended to propose to a girl.

"Shouldn't I just leave, Mom?"

"It feels like enough when my mother's presence is representative!" now the light starts to raise its voice. His face was compassionate to the mother so as not to participate to the beach with her sister.

"Let your mother here first with Raya, the trip to the Beach Country takes a few days, Mak!"

"With the state of a newly healed mother is able to travel far?" the Light to his mother.

"No, Nduk."

"I don't want to miss a sacred moment in your sister's life, let alone this is her wedding."

"I'm healthy, God willing, nothing will happen to me" Suratmi said.

"Again it would not be appropriate if your sister's marriage proposal was only attended by you while I was still there and healthy!" suratmi is back.

The two people who were beside Suratmi fell silent, both Kyai Basori and Cahaya knew the character of Suratmi. When you have the intention, no one can change it.

"But I'm looking out for you, Ma'am yu! take care of your health."

"Let the santri who will prepare your needs and deliver you to Tawangalun station using the pesantren's horse carriage."

"I will also prepare some herbs to maintain the condition of the body mbak yu and drink on the way." exclaimed Kyai Basori.

"Maturnuwun sanget help you, Adi mas kyai."

"What will my family be, if there have been no you since the departure of kang mas Ahmad."

now the old woman's tears were unstoppable, since her move from the plains of Ijen and back to her late husband's hometown, Kyai Basori always helped her both in the form of materials and educating her children and grandchildren.

"Mbak yu need not hesitate, what I did is not comparable to what the late kang mas Ahmad and Mbah kyai sepuh gave me."

kyai Basori told Suratmi.

The middle-aged man looked at the two women before him. Kyai Basori himself is an orphan and santri of kyai Abdullah Syakur the father of the late Ahmad husband Suratmi. Since the age of five, kyai Basori was treated by the late kyai Abdullah Syakur better known as mbah kyai sepuh and continued to manage the Al Amin pesantren because the son of mbah kyai sepuh himself, Ahmad married Suratmi still descendants of meniyayi Bumi Patria and settled in the Land of Patria until finally Ahmad and his family settled in the plains of Ijen before dying.

"I can only pray for you to be safe until the destination and Muhibbin's wishes run smoothly" concluded Kyai Basori.

After a long conversation about Muhibbin with Suratmi and Cahaya, Kyai Basori resigned from Al Amin's daughter when he heard the dhuhur adhan and rushed to the mosque not far from the place.

Some of the santri who cross paths with Kyai Basori bend ta'dzim giving way and do not dare to look at the face of the kyai.

After some time after performing the prayer, Kyai Basori called Muhibbin to his residence which had been with him since.

"Bin, I want to tell you before your departure back to the Beach Country." kyai Basori is seen rolling a tobacco coil over the corn shell and lighting it up, he said, a puff of smoke from the cigarette klobot soaring in the living room.

"You will now get married and have a life partner" Kyai Basori said as she sucked the clobot tucked in her finger.

"Silence dawuh, Mbah kyai." replied Muhibbin still bowed.

"In the face of all things, you must rely only on God and whatever you do is intended only to seek His pleasure."

"Everything that is not accidental or accidental, everything has been determined by Him and we as humans just surrender and do not break from the hope of His grace" said Kyai Basori.

Muhibbin was silent and listened to his teacher's wobble without daring to look at the face of the kyai.

"There will come a time when your rigor and faith will be tested."

"And you cannot be late and defeated by all events, be it that will bring good or bring evil."

"Because true good and evil do not exist, only God has the will of all."

"Give up and rely on the Creator of life."

"Wani ngalah will be lohur wekasane, sak bejo-bejone wong kang lali luwih bejo wong kang iling lan waspodo" concluded Kyai Basori.

"Ngestoaken dawuh, Mbah kyai." said Muhibbin lirih.

"Le, I'm going to teach you a practice that you can use for your inner peace,"

"And the will of this practice will also give you protection by the permission of God."

A moment later Kyai Basori began chanting a prayer carefully listened to by Muhibbin, it looks like the middle-aged man said quite long prayers and his hands grabbed Muhibbin's head and blew it three times."

"How, can you understand and memorize the reading I just taught" asked Kyai Basori to Muhibbin.

"God willing I remember it, Mbah kyai." replied the young man.

"Good, practice that prayer."

"The prayer was taught by Mbah kyai sepuh to me and your father."

"The language is known as Hizib Nasr" concluded Kyai Basori.

"Sembah nuwun, mbah kyai. God willing I will practice and remember all the messages of Mbah kyai." said Muhibbin."

"Well, I think you should pack up soon because your trip is very far tomorrow and I'll take good care of your mother, go and get everything ready."

"Darrown dawuh, Mbah kyai." said Muhibbin softly while kissing the teacher's hand and passed from before him.

The next day, after dawn the horse-drawn carriage carrying Muhibbin's entourage and his family left the Al Amin boarding school.

Looking at the face and smile on the lips of the Sacred Kingdom, the little girl looked happy because this was her first trip out of the Stone Snake Country.

"Sir, is the Beach Country beautiful?" ask the little girl plain.

"Yes good, Nduk." replied Muhibbin briefly.

Suratmi and Light just smiled at the behavior of the little girl.

"Already! later you will know for yourself, Nduk." Suratmi told his grandson.

"Sir Ma lik, Raya will not be naughty and bully there" said the little girl with a smile.

Muhibbin only shook his head and smiled faintly.

"Sir lik! are Mr Nengah and Mbak Sekar good people, Pak lik? ask the Muhibbin.

Muhibbin nodded his head, "Yes good, even very good according to Mr. lik. They are meritorious people who helped Pak lik when he was first in the Beach Country" replied Muhibbin.

"Oh yes, Bin! you said Karina was there too?" now the Light asked Muhibbin.

"Karina the daughter of the lord of Samarta, Le? Suratmi asked.

Muhibbin nodded again,

"He's been there with his uncle since the death of his entire family in a chariot accident."

"Now he's called Disya, Ma'am yu. Since that incident he changed his name and Mr. Sirkun took care of him until he recovered and brought him to the Beach Country" said Muhibbin.

"Pity that boy!" suratmi Gumam.

"Yes Mak, Disya was devastated by the incident but now she has been able to get through it." Muhibbin replied again.

"Sir, which is more beautiful between Bu lik Sariwati and Bu lik Disya?"

"Why did you not marry Ms lik Disya?" tanya Sacred Kingdom plain.

"Keep, the little boy knows what!" muhibbin pinched the nose of the Holy Kingdom.

"Obviously Pak lik's nephew is prettier than anyone." she added.

Everyone in the horse carriage laughed at the Sacred Kingdom's behavior and the little girl could only gawk while rubbing her hot nose from Muhibbin's pinch.

It was not felt that the horse carriage they were riding had reached Tawangalun station, Sais horse which is also a santri from Kyai Basori helped Muhibbin to bring down the goods he carried.

"Kang Mas!" muhibbin shouted at the santri.

"Sami-sami, Adi mas. May your journey be smooth and safe until the destination." said the sais to Muhibbin and his family.

The horse-drawn carriage passed back to the Al Amin boarding school in the hamlet of Kemuning, while Muhibbin and his family stepped in to Tawangalun station waiting for the track to take him to the port.
