Deka was awake but still in bed, he gasped as Victor entered his room with the young doctor.
"Master Victor." Deka was about to get up but Victor held him back.
"No need to get up!"
Deka did not get up and lay down.
"How are you doing?" ask Victor.
"I've been light, sir," Deka replied, telling the truth that he was enduring the pain of his throbbing wounds, but he was proud to admit that he didn't want to look weak.
"Here I bring the doctor, he'll examine your wound" Victor said, turning to the young doctor, "please, Doc!"
"Good, Sir." The young doctor approached Deka and examined the wound on his chest.
"His blood has stopped but the wound still has to be sewn to speed up its healing and does not enter dirt and bacteria" said the doctor.
"Just do your best, Doc" Deka said.
"Alright, I'll do the hecting." The doctor opened the bag he was carrying and took out his medical equipment.
Before performing the hecting procedure or sewing the wound, the young doctor first put on sterile gloves and cleaned the wound with an antiseptic liquid. The doctor then gave a local anesthetic in the tissue around the wound, Deka had a slight grimace when the anesthetic needle pierced him.
"We wait for the anesthetic to work" the doctor said.
While waiting for the anesthetic effect, the young doctor also prepared tools that he would use to sew Deka's wounds.
Moments later after making sure the anesthetic had worked, the young doctor began to sew Deka's wounds carefully. Deka closed his eyes waiting for the doctor to finish his work, while Victor just stood watching them.
After sewing the wound on Deka's chest, the doctor covered it with sterile gauze.
"It's done, but try for a while not to be exposed to water first, because in the water there are bacteria or germs that can make wet wounds and infections" said the doctor.
"Yes, Doc," replied Deka.
"This is me giving painkillers and antibiotics so that the wound will dry quickly." The doctor took out two boards of medicine and went to put the drugs on the nightstand, but he gasped when he saw there was a pain medication, bleeding stoppers and antibiotics on the table are each reduced by one.
The doctor removed the three drugs and showed them to Deka, "Where are these drugs from?"
"My friend gave it to me" replied Deka.
"Last night."
The young doctor was silent looking at the medicines in his hands.
"What's up, Doc?" victor asked, astonished to see the doctor flinch.
The doctor shook his head, "No, there's nothing, sir."
"Then continue to take these antibiotics alone and the pain medication," continued the doker, he put the drugs back on the table and took back the antibiotic drugs he gave earlier.
"So is it all done?" ask Victor again to make sure.
The doctor nodded, "Already, Sir. I'll be back in two days to check on the wound."
"All right, thank you. I'll transfer the fee later" Victor said.
The doctor smiled, "Yes, sir. Then excuse me first."
"Thank you, Doc!" sela Deka quietly.
The doctor nodded again while staring at Deka, "Sama-sama. Hope you heal quickly!"
After making sure nothing was left behind, the young doctor rushed out of Deka's room and left Victor there.
While descending the stairs, the doctor accidentally saw Starla standing in the kitchen. With a slight hesitation he stepped closer to Starla without the woman's knowledge.
"Hey, may I ask you a question?"
Starla suddenly turned around, and was stunned when she saw the doctor standing behind her. Starla suddenly panicked and tensed up, she was wailing to make sure no one else was in the place.
"You're at Fatimah Embung Hospital, right?" ask the doctor.
Just as Dani emerged from the living room and heard the young doctor's question.
Starla was silent while gulping.
