17. Suspicious.

After dinner, Deka and Dani chat together in the living room, while Starla washes the dishes in the kitchen.

"Have you seen that viral video?" ask Dani.

"Already," replied Deka briefly.

"You don't feel scared?"

Deka frowned, "Fear?"

"Yes. Aren't you afraid that this will be a problem for you? How about the police find you?"

Deka smiled faintly, "I have done nothing wrong, I have instead lightened the work of the police to save the community from crime. So why be afraid?"

"Yes, I know, Ka. But I mean, aren't you scared because of this you're dealing with the police? Didn't you avoid that the most?"

"You just calm down! Everything must be fine," said Deka sure.

Dani sighed, she was completely at a loss for words against Deka.

Starla who had finished washing dishes and cleaning the dining table came to them while carrying two bowls of pudding with melted chocolate on top.

"I brought you dessert" said Starla.

"Wuih, what the hell is that? Looks delicious!" dani exclaimed in excitement, while Deka only looked at Starla and her innards.

"Frosted chocolate pudding, I made it this afternoon. Go, cobain!"

Starla puts one bowl of pudding in front of Dani, and the other in front of Deka.

"I don't want to!" reject Deka.

Starla looked at Deka in disappointment, "Why, Bang?"

"I don't like chocolate" Deka said flatly.

"She doesn't like chocolate, so she doesn't have any sweetness in life" he sneered as he picked up the pudding bowl that Starla served.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't know you didn't like chocolate. Though chocolate is good for changing mood and relieving stress, because chocolate can reduce levels of the hormone cortisol. Chocolate also contains magnesium that can produce the hormone serotonin that serves to calm, so our emotions can stay awake" explained Starla at length.

Deka looked at Starla suspiciously, "You seem to understand very well about it?"

Starla nodded as she gulped.

"Surely you also know from the movies you watch, right?" guess Dani interrupted.

Starla laughed awkwardly, "I-iya, Bang. I've heard about chocolate in the movie I saw, it just so happens to be about that psychology."

Deka only frowned hearing Starla's explanation.

"Yes, this is for Bang Dani alone." Starla throws the other pudding bowl in front of Dani.

"Well, my weight can go up this," Dani continued with her laughter.

Starla laughed, but Deka only looked at the woman with a difficult look.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door, Deka immediately moved to see who was coming. He was a little surprised when the door opened, and two policemen were already standing in front of his house.

Two hours passed, the two policemen finally resigned after asking Deka and Dani a few questions. The two men were only witnesses and asked for information about the robbery in the mini market last night.

"I was scared when I saw those cops" Dani said.

"Yes, me too" Starla said.

Dani looked at Deka who had looked calm since, "You're not afraid, Ka?"

"I told you that I'm not wrong, so why should I be afraid?" answer Deka lightly.

"Yes too, while it is clearly wrong and unlawful, you are not afraid, let alone this is not wrong" Dani said.

Deka just glanced sharply at his best friend, he knew Dani was insinuating him for killing and running an illegal business with Victor.

Starla knitted her eyebrows together, looking at Deka and Dani alternately, "What did Bang Deka do wrong?"

Deka turned her face away as Starla's eyes clashed with her eyes, she did not want to answer the woman's question.

"It's nothing, it's just a boy" Dani said as he glanced at the seemingly indifferent Deka.

Starla did not reply to Dani's words, she looked at Deka's flat and cold face with full investigation.

Meanwhile in a fairly large house, a white-haired middle-aged man was looking at his mobile phone screen while holding back furiously.

"It's really Starla" the middle-aged man said as his eyes caught Starla's figure in the video.

"Yes, Sir. This incident occurred in one of the mini markets in Batam and not long ago, it means Starla is still in Batam" said a young man.

"Then find out where exactly this mini market is located, it is likely that Starla lives not far from there," the middle-aged man asked.

"Good, Sir. I'll find out, and bring Starla before you" the young man replied with confidence.

The middle-aged man only nodded twice.
