Zina in Islam is strictly an illegal act and is included in a major sin. It is as written in the word of God as follows:

"And those who do not worship another God with Allah and do not kill the soul that Allah forbids (kill it) except by (reason) that is true, and does not fornicate, and do not commit adultery, whosoever does so, he shall have (revenge) his (sin) sin (68) (i.e.,) multiplied the punishment for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he shall abide in that torment forever, in humiliation (69)." (QS Al-Furqan: 68-69).
