A Cold Frozen Hearts

A Cold Frozen Hearts
Eps. 43 As a Reminiscence

Nayla was no stranger to the man standing in front of her. The man who provided the classified documents he needed to reveal who shot him, and also what the motive of them really was.

“Who is he?” raysa asked in a whisper.

“He who helped pay for my medical expenses while in America,”

“Only that?”

“His work I don't know,”

The man smiled at Raysa.

“You don't even recognize me anymore,” said the man.

“Do I know you?”

“I even know you since childhood,” said the man.

“In there, the leftmost aisle there are so many human bones. It is better to send a team to come check this place,” said Nayla trying to divert talks.

The identity of the man was very mysterious, even when Nayla met him so suddenly.

Kurnia, and Moesa are waiting for Nayla and Raysa. Kurnia's legs are wrapped in bandages, as they swell.

“You okay? Is anyone hurt?” kurnia asked when she saw her sister.

“Who worries who, hm,” said Nayla while looking at the bandage on her brother's leg. “What's been treated?” nayla asked while looking at her sister.

“It's okay, I'm worried about you guys,” said Kurnia.

On the plane, no one started telling stories. Nayla fell asleep, and leaned on her sister's shoulder.

“Two years ago, Adrian's body was sent to his parents' house in tragic circumstances,” the man said. “Data copied by him, brings danger to his family,”

“After Adrian there is an organization that supports him, and the girl is dragged into the problem,”

“I only need the goods to be in his hands,” said the man.

They have arrived in Kam, it does not take a long trip because it uses a helicopter. Raysa held Nayla inside her room, the girl sleeping very likely due to exhaustion after three days of being underground.

“Two days left, I will send him back to the Capital,” Kurnia told Raysa. “Here, I cannot forbid him from doing anything dangerous,” Kurnia said as she gently brushed Nayla's hair.

“She's a cheerful person,” said Moesa trying to judge.

“Hm. He was not such a person, in fact he was a very cold person. The look in his eyes was so sharp, and if he spoke to someone he didn't like, his eyes were like an eagle hunting its prey,”

“We don't want to lose him again,” Kurnia said.

“Lost again?”

The sound of footsteps sounded.

“Is she okay?”

Someone had just come, his breathing was as stiff as he ran coming there.

The figure of the man, making Raysa clench her hands, she did not like the presence of the man.

“Aufal..”.

“Why are you here..”.

“Is he okay? I'm asking you guys, does his heart suddenly hurt?” ask Aufal.

“He's sleeping again, because of fatigue,” Kurnia said.

“Let me check,”

“No need,” prevent Raysa.

Raysa looked at the man with a gaze filled with anger.

“Do not forbid me..”

“You..”.

Kurnia prevents Raysa from fighting Aufal.

“He should rest a lot, do not fatigue. His heart has just healed,” Aufal said after finishing checking on Nayla's health condition. “Luckily he is fine,” Aufal said again.

“You go get some rest. You must also be tired, I will sleep here,” said Raysa. “You also go from here,” Raysa said as she stared at Aufal.

“You are sleeping here, you are not married to him,” said Kurnia while pulling her best friend.

“I'll be here, because I'm her husband,” said Aufal showing off her current status as Nayla's husband.

“You can't be here either,” said Raysa pulled Aufal. “It is better that we both make calculations,” said Raysa whispered in Aufal's ear.

“Isn't it okay they were let go both? Looks like they're going to fight,” Moesa said.

“It's okay, I often see them fighting. We better peek from far away,” said Kurnia pulling Moesa's hand to hide.

Raysa stared intently at Aufal. She still has not accepted Aufal's actions that registered her marriage to Nayla.

“Why did you do it? Why didn't you tell me he was alive?”

“I called you, but you didn't pick up my phone. I promised her I'd get a divorce soon. I came to pick her up because of our divorce hearing in a few days,”

“Did you touch it?”

“No, I didn't touch it at all,” Aufal said. “Em. Maybe just kiss it,” Aufal said casually.

“You..”.

“Quiet... I never touched her, even kissed her. I'm not the guy who took a chance when he was in a coma for that long,” Aufal said.

Raysa had been clutching the crust of Aufal's clothes.

“Hm. I've been honest. Can you take this grip off of you,” said Aufal trying to remove Raysa's hand from his crust.

From a distance Kurnia simply observed the two people.

“What really is okay?”

“They had a fight because my sister was shot. They both got battered,” said Kurnia recalled the incident on the first night Nayla was shot.

“But who is that guy? Why would he say he's your sister's husband? Continue..”

“The story is complicated and long. The man who just came, my sister's old boyfriend, they were dating, then the man got married. Raysa, is the guy my sister liked two years ago, but he still likes Nayla, but he's legally married to my sister,”

“Continue relationship Raysa and Nayla how dong?”

“They're getting a divorce soon, the guy's with Nayla. They got married, because Nayla needed a guardian when she was sick, so they registered the marriage,”

“But, aren't there you guys? Why..”

“We thought Nayla had died in a plane crash, she told us, but none of us picked up her phone,”

“Oh. I just get it now,”

“Raysa was angry at the man because he hid Nayla. All this time, Raysa was like a fool who always blamed himself,”

“It turns out their relationship is so complicated,”

“From saying their relationship is complicated. What about our relationship?” asked Kurnia suddenly.

“Kok so we both?” ask Moesa.

Moesa left Kurnia, who was still there, not wanting to discuss what Kurnia was asking.

“Hey, how about our relationship?” kurnia asked as she followed behind Moesa.

“Already, don't bother me. I don't like you,” Moesa said as she ran small.

Kurnia could only look at the girl. He did not expect, if he would be rejected outright.

Rasya and Aufal's quarrel stopped because they heard the voice of Kurnia who was teasing Moesa.

“Don't give up brother-in-law,” said Aufal chuckling.

“Who do you call brother-in-law,” Kurnia said as she approached the two men. “I don't think of you as my sister's husband,” said Kurnia.

“Don't be like that with me, I'll get a divorce with him soon. Let me call you like this, after all you owe me because I took care of your sister during her coma,”

“You..”.

Aufal is just a whine.

“Alright, I will allow you to call you like that,” Kurnia said.

“But, it looks like you rejected the girl, want me to find another girl?”

“You... Do you want me to hang you on a tree? You alone, still like my sister and not married, still talking about finding me a girl,” Kurnia was a bit annoyed by that saying. “Ray... help me, we both hang it up there,” said Kurnia invites Raysa.

“I'm sorry, I was just kidding and you took it seriously,”

“Give me the results of his health report when he is in a coma in America,” Kurnia said.

“Let me go first,” pinta Aufal. “The result I gave to your parents, therefore I came here after knowing he was here,” Aufal said while confirming his clothes. “If you guys want to see vedio while he's there. I'll give it. I have a lot of vedios,” Aufal said again. “The two of you really, don't know thank me. Treating me like a thief,” grumbled Aufal while leaving Raysa and Kurnia.

Raysa returns to Nayla's room to see the girl's condition.

Raysa gently rubbed Nayla's hair. Again he did not get tired of seeing the girl's face.

"Why haven't you gone back to your room yet?" ask Nayla suddenly.

"I still want to see you for longer,"

"Go to bed. We'll be rumored if the room is both. I'm not leaving all of a sudden,"

"Aufal came to pick you up," said Raysa made the girl surprised, it was fitting that the man was a bit different as it turned out due to Aufal's sudden arrival.

Moreover, Aufal came to pick up the girl, even though he had just met.

"Is there anything he's told you?"

"I just don't like it, he said that he was your husband,"

Nayla laughed at the man. As if showing its potent nature.

"You can come with me back later," Nayla said trying to persuade the man.

"You jealous?"

Putting on a spoiled face, and the guy's gibberish was so funny. It was only the first time Nayla had seen such a facial expression.

"Didn't he tell you, we're getting a divorce?"

"Yes. But..."

"Go back to your room. You must be tired too" said Nayla.

The man followed Nayla's advice and left the bedroom.

Nayla saw the guitar she used two years ago. Lots of memories with that guitar. The guitar that accompanies his days, keeps himself close to Raysa. He did not expect that he would return to this place again.

When she decided to choose to heal herself, she really did not expect that she would re-establish a bond with Raysa.
