A Cold Frozen Hearts

A Cold Frozen Hearts
Eps. 3 Meeting Back

Sunlight, entering through a glass window in a room room. Piles of books on the table, a cup of coffee, a pair of glasses, a picture frame. The atmosphere of the day was so bright, the chirping of the morning birds was earthy.

CRUST!

The door sounds open.

“Nayla...” call a woman named Laura.

YONG!

Nayla looked towards the origin of the sound. Her hair was disheveled, the bottom of her eyes, brownish in color.

“Oh My God,” chuckle Laura see the state of Nayla. “You haven't slept all night?” Ask Laura.

Nayla, just nodding while shuffling her hair.

“Ouh... You're like a virgin ghost.” Said Laura looking at Nayla.

“You like to read books?” Nayla asked Laura.

“Iya, I like the popular novels again. The author is Psycho,” says Laura. “I bought all his books, you want to read?” Laura asked. “I love the portrayal of characters in her novels, realistic, as if she did it herself,” says Laura. “You want to read it?” Ask Laura again. “If you want to read it, I will get it for you,” Laura said.

“No,” replied Nayla in a weak tone. “How can you offer me my own book to read,” said Nayla muttering in her heart.

“Ah. If I could meet her, I wanted to ask her out,” Laura said, making Nayla disgusted by what Laura said. “Seeing his works, I feel he is a cold, handsome man, and not many friends,” Laura said again.

“Ouh... Disgust deh,” said Nayla mocking Laura.

“What if he's not what you think he is? He's an ugly, spotty, barky, geeky guy. You want to ask her out?” Nayla asked, laughing.

Laura pursed her lips.

“You deserve to be called a Psycho, do not have a sense of concern for your friend,” said Laura snarled Nayla. “Many guys have a crush on you on campus, even seniors. But you keep rejecting it. Cu... cu... cu.. Outrage of your heart,” said Laura described the actions of her best friend.

“Better like that,” says Nayla.

Laura looked at her best friend, a very deep gaze. There is pity for his best friend. He could understand why his best friend's attitude was like that. In fact, if he was in his best friend's position, he would probably do the same.

“Down, if you're done taking a shower,” Laura said as she ruffled her best friend's hair. “I'll make breakfast,” Laura said again.

*HUB!

“Hihihi..” giggling sounds are heard along with the sound of a puncture.

ARGH!

JLB! JLB! JLB!

The man's eyes widened, trying to push the man who was stabbing him. However, his efforts were in vain the knife first penetrated into his stomach.

At that moment, it rained heavily. Blood flowed, making the scent of blood evaporate faster.

“Hhhmm…. Aaahh The man inhaled the air around him that had been contaminated with blood!

Then the man left his victim just lying in a small alley.

THE ANIMUS!

Signatures are no stranger to those who find bodies. Everyone is rattled by the feeling of mutual suspicion of each other, because they feel if there is a serial killer among them.

Whistling.by whistling echoed in a room. The music sounded so relaxed, a smile was visible. A photo on a wall*.

The atmosphere is so crowded in a high school. This year, Nayla ventured out to attend a reunion. However, she chose to stay away from the show crowd and get busy with her phone.

Some people were seen in groups, greeting each other. Sometimes laughter comes from them.

DRAPU! DRAPU! DRAPU!

A footstep approached Nayla.

“For a long time no see,” said a man as he brought two drinks.

Nayla looked towards the person. A pair of eyeballs that he had not seen for a long time, a smile that had long disappeared from his eyes, and a greeting voice were certainly no longer unfamiliar to him.

Tears are held in Nayla's eye, but she tries to control her emotions. Surprised! That was what Nayla felt, not even she thought that the man would come at the reunion.

“Please,” replied Nayla briefly.

“A long time ago yes,” said the man.

“Iya, it's been a long time,” Nayla said in an irregular tone.

A pair of eyes were so shocked to see the state he thought was crazy.

“Yaaaakkk…. Aufal Shouted a girl while running towards Nayla and the man called Aufal, the girl was Laura. “What are you doing here?” Ask Laura.

“Chat with him,” Aufal replied casually.

“Hhm. Come, Nay. We'd better go home,” Laura said as she pulled Nayla back.

The man who was in Aufal's post, could only fall silent while looking at the back of Nayla and Laura who passed from before him. He could only breathe.

Laura was still nagging about Aufal's whereabouts approaching Nayla.

The presence of Aufal, it feels like it makes old wounds scratched back. That's how Nayla feels.

The man's departure makes Nayla's life change. There was a grudge in his heart, which he could neither express nor overflow with anger. For to him it is only a past, and a disgrace to himself.

Who would have realized if time had passed very quickly. It felt, Nayla was still in the comfort zone by staying in the room. Not writing a new script, but choosing to watch a Korean drama.

His clothes, his hair, his room, the trash scattered everywhere in sight. I don't know what made it that bad.

“Jeez... as comfortable as that, in a room as dirty as this,” said Laura when she opened the door of Nayla's room and saw how dirty the room was not worth to say room.

“When are you going to clean this room?” Laura asked as she threw a pillow towards Nayla.

“Before a while, I finish this drama first,” said Nayla.

“You told me a few days ago. Quickly clean this room right now,” Laura shouted at Nayla.

Nayla, realizing that Laura's not acting like she used to.

“There's a problem?” Nayla asked while trying to make her bed.

“Several days, he didn't upload a single photo,” Laura said.

“Who?” Ask Nayla curious.

“Psycho Writer,” says Laura.

Nayla could only hold back her laughter. But, he could not tell his friend that he was actually a writer that his best friend admired. Not because he doesn't trust his best friend. But, because his own best friend did not believe him if he said the truth.

*A school is so crowded, some kids came out of the gate of the school. A child is walking alone, like he is being shunned by his friends. In her ear was a headset, in her hand carrying a black umbrella.

Someone asked her to speak, the girl replied using sign language. She's a mute girl, living with her mother. A few years ago, his mother was killed.

From a distance, a man noticed the girl from a distance. His face was blushing when he saw the girl smiling. Apparently, the man fell in love with the mute girl.

For a moment, the thought of killing did not exist. The emotion to kill instantly disappeared. When remembering the last words of the woman he had killed was not to take revenge on the girl he called. However, the woman mentioned her daughter's name. The look on the face and the plea to be left alive at the last moment is a mother's plea to stay with her daughter.

Who would have thought, a murderer sympathizes with a mute girl. Perhaps, he thought that he was the same as that girl. Neither had anyone accompanying him.

Six months, he had been following the girl all day. When he could do nothing when he saw the girl in his tribe raped and made the girl choose to commit suicide.

Revenge and hate on them, make him kill anyone who is evil to the girl in his tribe.

JLB! JLB! JLB!

One by one, he had avenged his girl clan.

When he kills the last man at the police station, guilt.

“Sorry..”

Regret is the last thing in a story. In fact, even an assassin would feel some remorse when he found his purpose to be happy*.
