A Cold Frozen Hearts

A Cold Frozen Hearts
Eps. 22 Fight and Survive

Nayla's body fell into the water, causing the water around her to change color. Raysa also threw herself. He could see clearly if the girl's body was heading towards the bottom of the river that was not too deep.

Adrian and his men had fled somewhere, with gunshot wounds.

Raysa pulled the girl's body out of the water. It is so hard to explain how she feels.

“We found the Captain,” shouted someone when he saw Raysa.

“Call the doctor here,” shouted Raysa.

Aufal and some of his friends came, so surprised he saw an unconscious Nayla with a gunshot wound to her left chest. For him who knows, if injured in the left chest, is something fatal especially the left chest is where the heart beats.

“What are you doing there? You don't want to help her?” raysa's yelling made Aufal aware.

“We just do here the operation, we have to remove the bullet immediately, heat the water, and dissolve the salt, sterilize the operating equipment, I'll try to stop the bleeding,”

Raysa leaned against a large rock, staring at Nayla.

“Captain..”.

“Let's see you. They can't be far from here,” Raysa said putting emphasis on his words. “She has to pay for what she did,” Raysa's eyes reddened, there's a sense of anger in the highlighted inside there.

Aufal and his team were trying to pull out a bullet lodged in the girl's left chest.

Without being told, he would do so to save the girl who was still enthroned in his heart.

“Don't give up, I won't give up on saving you, please,” Aufal satin.

“She's short of blood,” says Aufal. “We need blood,” said Aufal shouting. “His blood type AB resus is negative,” says Aufal.

Negative resus blood type is the blood type that steps.

“I. My blood is the same as hers. Take as you need,” Kurniawan said with a loud breath.

The girl who was so pale, was lying on a large rock that was wide enough and allowed to perform surgery.

The scholar who heard Nayla needed blood immediately ran, but the distance from where Nayla was 200 meters.

“There's still a lot I want to ask you, if you're really Naomi, I'm so happy to find you. So please, hang on,”

Raysa watched expectantly. There may have been hundreds of prayers sent to God for God to grant his prayers.

An hour has passed, but it is not finished yet.

“Why so long?”

“The bullet penetrated the heart of the right and left chambers, this is very difficult. Even I had trouble doing it with makeshift equipment,” Aufal said.

The atmosphere looks so gripping. Some guards were standing guard around Operation Aufal, while others were searching the forest for Adrian who had not been found since.

“Completed. We depend on the miracle God gave me. I did what I could. Now depends on Nayla,” Aufal said. “We have to move it immediately to a hospital that has complete facilities,” Aufal said again while sewing back the surgical incision wound he made. “Your turn, I will accompany him until he is transferred to the hospital,” said Aufal took the initiative.

“We're leaving here. Contact main headquarters, we will use military helicopter,”

Some people were carefully lifting Nayla on the Stretcher, but simultaneously they were speeding up.

Aufal prevents Raysa, implying so much vengeance for the man.

“Why did you get him hurt?” asked Aufal by shouting at the man in front of him.

Raysa just fell silent not answering the question, he realized that he had made the girl hurt to be faced with a choice, between surviving or dying.

“Doctor, on the girl's body there is a rash. Looks like she's allergic to anethesia,” a woman ran up telling Aufal.

“What?”

Aufal, Raysa and Kurniawan immediately ran towards Nayla.

“Prepared diphenhydramine or dexamethasone. Immediately,” Aufal said as he examined Nayla's body and pupils. “How long will we be until?” asked Aufal while giving Nayla an injection of anti-allergy medication.

“Thirty minutes more,”

“Too long. Can you guys lag faster?”

“What happened?” asked Raysa and Kurniawan simultaneously.

“He was allergic to the anesthetic I used during the operation, so he should arrive in Kam soon. I had to put it on a monitor, give it a quick drip infusion until epinephrine injection,” Aufal explained.

“The situation is very critical at the moment,” said Aufal. “I will be going to Kam soon, and prepare the equipment to be used. Please,” Aufal ran to get to Kam soon.

“Pending in advance, the delivery to the big hospital. I have to stabilize his condition first,” Aufal said before leaving.

Raysa remained beside Nayla, her gaze never sidetracked on the girl. Guilt enveloped his heart, as if he could not see the state of the girl whose face was so pale.

Raysa recalled what the girl said, it felt like remembering what the girl said made her heart so hurt.

We've been seen, about 100 yards ahead of them. So many people gathered and saw.

“Speed up your steps again,”

They took the girl with half-run steps. Until we get to the room.

Aufal began pairing breathing apparatus, rapid droplet impus fluid, and several other tools. Some blood samples were taken, fortunately Nayla's condition is no longer in a critical state.

Aufal was so busy with doing some tests with Nayla's blood sample.

When the results came out, he could only sit limp and speechless. He walked towards Nayla's place in the care, his footsteps were so slow, like there was no energy.

“How?” ask Rasya. “What happened to him?” raysa asked again, when she saw the look on Aufal's face. “Quickly say, how did it go,” shouted Raysa forcing Aufal to explain what really happened about Nayla's condition.

“The allergy is gone, but the condition of his body is very weak, and..” Aufal stopped talking while staring intently at Nayla.

“And what? Why don't you go on with what you say?” rasha asked, starting to get angry.

“He is positive for Leukaemia,” Aufal said stammered.

“Are you sure? You're not kidding anymore, are you?” Raysa did not believe what she had just heard.

“I'm not lying. I also told him to send the sample to the big hospital here, and the result is also the same,”

Raysa sat down when she heard that. While Kurniawan could not speak to hear that.

“Is there any way for him to heal?”

“Spinal Marrow Transplant Surgery,”

“I don't think he's asking about his own illness. I should have been aware since he asked,” Aufal said in a sad tone.

“We better move it to the hospital in the Capital, there it will be checked in detail. I will contact the headquarters, to take him by helicopter,” Kurniawan said.

“You are told to face the General, it seems you can not come,”

Raysa could only look at the girl, while Kurniawan and Aufal were getting ready to bring Nayla along.
