7 Days With Althara

City Of stars

He played an instrument so familiar to me. It's the City Of Star soundtrack to the big screen movie La La Lands, which Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone both sang in the film. The song and the movie were famous in late 2016 and somehow the song suddenly reminded me of Althara. Since then, the song has become my favorite song.

“Al, not this song that you often put in Resto yes?”

Indeed, this song has been included in the playlist of songs that I always play every day at Restaurant.

“You know this song?” Ask Fadil.

“Anyone knows this song right?” My word.

Then Fadil again raised his hand and called the waiter. He whispered back to the servant and the servant immediately left again doing his other orders from Fadil.

I wonder why Althara just keeps playing her song instruments without singing.

“Althara emang ga jago singing Al, so she just showed her ability in playing piano” said Rey as if she knew what I was thinking.

The waiter approached Mc and whispered to him. And that Mc standing in front of the stage took his mic.

“Euh there is one other request from Mas Fadil he said, he asked Mbak Alhena to accompany Mas Althara singing here” I gasped in shock and immediately looked at Fadil with annoyance.

“Ngga wants Rey” Rey to applaud me while laughing at that.

“Ayo dong al, re-kado taun I ini” said Fadil while laughing.

I just sat there standing still, not wanting that to happen.

“Ayo dong Al, one song aja kasian me on stage alone” said Rey pleaded.

You feel more sorry for him than for me who has been abandoned a few years.

“Come Al” Rey pulled my hand and tapped me on stage.

I was forced to go on stage and sit in confusion behind the mic stand. All eyes were already on me, and the instrument played by Althara was stung just kept spinning around at the beginning of the song like it was deliberately waiting for me to start singing.

I took my breath and held Mic.

The song has stopped. Althara stopped playing her piano and then heard boisterous applause from everyone. I smiled and lowered my head in shame.

I glanced at Althara beside me. He glanced at me coldly. It's like the javu, I've had this situation with Althara. When I was at the school race, she was so proud to see me singing in front of everyone. But today the mood is different. My smile was gone when I looked at Althara, I realized my annoyance was still stored for her. I immediately got off the stage and went back to Rey and the others.

It's almost midnight and we're all home from the Japanese restaurant. If my restaurant was open 24 hours, surely Rey and her friends would spend time there until morning,luckily the restaurant was closed until 11 pm so that made Rey and her friends immediately go home.

“Thank ya tar already give me a birthday gift for me” said Fadil still meledek Althara.

“Jail lo ga never changed yah” said Althara with a cold smile.

“Thank also yes Alhena,ga thought your voice was very good”

“Ouw thanks”

“Chemistry you can directly dapet so ya”

I gasped at Fadil's words, making me and Althara look at each other.

This yups was exactly the same as when I was asked by Ms. Renatha to sing a song and accompanied by Althara for the first time before the race,and even then Althara did not tell me what song he would play. And amazingly, the songs we liked were always the same even when we were apart for so long.

“Ya we have gone home first ya” said Sam

“Gue also”

“Ya I'll see you later ya”

And we all broke up into each other's cars. Althara's still in Rey's car.

All along the way I just kept silently staring at the road to my house, and I realized something.

“Rey Stop!” I said to ask him to stop, and Rey stopped the car on the shoulder of the road.

“Why Al?”

“Rey I have a promise with Riani” said I suddenly said what came to my mind.

“Heh? Riani's promise ? Malem-malem gini?”

“Iya, I forgot Riani was waiting for me from earlier, I promised to meet her at her home” said I was brick.

I really just realized that if Rey takes me home and Althara takes me, this will let her know where my house is. Or even this is the purpose of Althara Rey's car.

“Ya I've been anther to Riani's house ya”

“Hah? Don't Rey, I can do it myself”

“Kok no need? I can anterin you al, why do you want to use what there? It's already malem, I don't want you to take a taxi”

“Yes I'll pick up Riani later”

“Ya have you called her first try”

I was confused to give an excuse like Rey. Because all I know is that Riani's not home tonight, she's taking a vacation with her family out of town.

“Alhena” call Rey.

“Where?”

“Yaudah Rey came home aja” said I was so resigned.

Rey seemed confused to hear it. But he returned to driving while occasionally glancing at me who kept quiet as usual.

I let Rey take me home. Let Althara know where I live, I wonder if it still dares Althara to approach me.

We got to my front yard.

“Touch me to the resto ya”

“Oke” answered me while trying to release the seatbelt.

Suddenly Rey stroked my hair gently. It makes me surprised to see it. If only Althara wasn't there, I would have brushed off Rey's hand that had dared to hold my head.

“Thank ya already want to nemenin me this malem”

I nodded my head stiffly, then got out of the car immediately. I was standing next to Rey's car waiting for Rey's car to leave, but instead of her leaving I saw Althara open her car door, she walked forward and stood right in front of me so close,until I could see so clearly his face was getting handsome. My heart is beating great, though,I didn't know what Althara was going to do as bold as it stood before me but my legs couldn't move until I heard the sound of the car door opening Althara right behind her.

She's just gonna move the seat forward, but the way that always makes me nervous has made her so satisfied, Althara's been making me hang all day.
