Today is the day that has been in the future right by me and all the Band players who will participate in the inter-school music competition. I prepared with myself who was wearing a neat school uniform, hair that was let down beautifully, and a little grooming so that my face did not look dull when watched by many people.
A message came into my phone.
Mr.strange
I - I'm downstairs
Huh me ? Since when did Althara become sweet like this.
I smiled reading his message, so blushed embarrassed by the content of the message that had made me happy in the morning. I put my phone in my bag and got out of my room to get to Althara.
“Hay ma” cheerfully greet Mama and my Papa who are already at the dinner table.
“Hay dear, very cheerful” said while preparing provisions for my breakfast.
“Iya dong kan want lombas” said I reasoned.
Mama raised both halisnya do not believe in my words.
“Not because it was picked up the same guy whose name is bi ? that time who picked up Alhena to the house?” Tanya Mamah shouted to Bi Inah who was in the kitchen.
“De Devan bu” Bi Inah replied to my surprise.
“Nah Devan”
“Iihh mama, Devan is not the one who used to pick up Alhena, he was even insolent and did not dare to playin alhena, he said, at that time he came home because he wanted to apologize” said I made me back upset considering Devan.
“Oh not him”
“Udah ah, Alhena is late nih”
“Ga will tell first he entered” said Papa meredek me.
“Apaan hell pa!”
“Loh why?”
“Yes nothing, he was just a nobody Alhena” said I remember that Althara was no one for me.
“Emang if only temen can not be brought in?” Papa keeps teasing me.
“Udah bye Alhena want to go first, do’a Alhena yes ma, pa. Hopefully this race smoothly” my part while kissing both of their cheeks
“Iya darling. Hope you can bring your school's fragrant name yes. Sorry Mama and Papa can not come because they have to work ya” said Mama while justifying my hair.
“It's Okay mah, Alhena just need a prayer from you” my sweet answer.
“We will always pray for the best for one child this one” said Papa.
Then I immediately walked away from this sweet morning conversation.
I immediately went with Althara to the city hall which was already crowded with students who would follow the race as well as its supporters.
All three of my friends promised to come to this race when our school was performing, but they still didn't tell me.
We all enter the stage that has been provided by the committee, the stage is only a white tent and has been provided a seat and snacks to fill our stomachs.
They all looked calm with the game, and Althara was so relaxed reading the novel she was carrying. I saw a little plaster on the corner of his lip. That's the plaster I wore yesterday to cover his wounds. Then I remembered Althara's request when at the minimarket.
No more Deketin Devan, I beg you.
It's still a mystery why Althara asked me like that by pleading.
I was so tense to hear the voice of others who had appeared to sound so good compared to me, as soon as my confidence disappeared, I looked unsettled and panicked.
Ms. Renatha entered the Stage in a hurry.
“Ayok get ready we already want to perform after this school”
we all cleaned up our luggage and tidied up our clothes.
We walked backstage to prepare. Panic is now attacking me, I look so unsettled and agitated, I feel like my forehead is sweating.
“Ga need to strain so” said Althara hit small jidatku.
I rubbed it in shame, because I thought no one was watching me.
“Ayo” take her while holding my hand up the stage.
Her soft hands were so felt in my palms. I flinched but I let it go, because Althara's touch of schemas could calm me down. As if there was strength in his grasp, I could suddenly feel this calm as I climbed onto the stage.
He drove me to the front of the microphone stand before he finally rubbed my shoulder and smiled leaving me to go behind his piano.
I closed my eyes to calm my mind, berdo’a along with the other bands. Then the music began to sound and I began to sing with passion.
I felt so calm, seeing everyone watching follow my song. I saw my friends back there waving their hands at me. It turns out that they came with other students who supported our school.
I was getting more and more excited about singing and seemed to be taking the stage. Until finally the song stopped I heard the cheers from everyone and the applause was so lively.
My smile was so happy to see everyone appreciating me. I bowed my body in gratitude, and I looked at Althara who had been watching me with her proud smile.
Thanks Althara.
We all got off the stage and went back to the Stage. Ms. Renatha welcomed us with pleasure.
“You are very cool, as long as you dapetin standing aplouse from Mr. Mayor”
I smiled in disbelief. And everyone in the Stage cheered happily.
“Emang really yes, you are giving good luck Alhena”
I was embarrassed to hear a compliment from Ms. Renatha.
“But the announcement of the winner is still in the bu process until tomorrow after” said I remember the race rules.
“But I'm sure, your voice is better than Tania”
the name was spoken again, making Edo, Kevin and Rizal look at each other again and act strangely. Althara sat down and dodged.
“Mommy is sure you can definitely bring home champion 1 to school” continued bu Renatha.
“Tania?” Ask me a curious.
Miss Renatha looked confused looking at me.
“Tania the.”
“Bu, kayaknya we have to go straight home, outside the cement we have been waiting for us kayak nya” said Edo cut off the talk of Bu Renatha.
“Oh yes they come?” Ask her.
“Iya dateng bu them outside the same Mr. Principal” continued.
“Oh okay samperin mom used to be your uncle ya” said Bu Renatha to me and then in apergi out of Stage.
I looked at Edo, Kevin and Rizal in turn, but they immediately pretended to be busy cleaning their luggage. I wonder what really happened to that guy named Tania. Why until I'm not allowed to know about him.
I looked at Althara who was tidying up her stuff, she looked cold. But so implied on Althara's face if she was remembering something. I became more and more curious, but I was sure that one day I would find out about it.
