7 Days With Althara

Day four

Today Althara still picked me up on time. But I was a little late because I forgot to set the alarm, but Althara was not at all noisy today with a lot of nagging for waiting for me. He's so cold today, though before him he was cold, but today he's different, he's so cold.

The training hasn't started yet, we're waiting for Renatha's mom in the corridor right in front of the teacher's room. Because he was still busy with his work as an art teacher. So he still divides his time between dividing the rap score and taking care of the race.

“Still a long time bu Renatha ?” Ask Edo who is playing a game next to me.

Edo just shrugged his shoulders. I saw Rizal and Kevin were busy playing games beside me. And Althara was sitting far apart on my right, leaning against the wall with a book in her hand. I wonder what book he is reading, it is very difficult to see because the book cover is folded and the title of the book so invisible.

Not long the second break bell rang. I immediately stood looking for my class that was upstairs. I shrieked my head looking for the figure of my friends who I had invited to go to the cafeteria together.

Ghea who waved her hand to me followed Venna and Tata beside her. I returned her hand so happily. They instantly disappeared and must have gone straight down to meet me.

But I was so surprised when I sat back in my place, to the right of the teacher's room came down Devan and his comrades from the stairs,I kept watching him who was holding a friendly woman whom I knew was his garden class. Lucky Devan didn't get past me, so I was able to witness his own rottenness freely. He looked so affectionate, even he kissed the woman's hair.

Devan passed Althara who was sitting next to the field. I accidentally saw Althara who had seen me watching Devan. I turned my face to hide the expression on my face that was so surprised to see Devan holding another woman. I didn't want Althara to look at me with a look of pity, or even corner me.

I pulled out my phone and called Tata.

“Hallo Ta?”

“Iya al why ?”

“Gue ga so come to the canteen ya”

“Gue has been sent directly to Renatha ini”

I turned off my phone and stared blankly at my phone screen.

I kept thinking about Devan, not because I was jealous to see him. But thinking about why I could fool him like this ?

Ms. Renatha had finally completely walked out of the teacher's room.

“Duh I'm sorry I still have this important business, you can wait in the hall only yes, because the music room want to use first for the 11” class assessment

“It's okay ma'am, we just wait there while training” said Edo.

All stood up and went towards the hall building, Althara was still sitting casually with the novel and earphones still resting on her ears. Rizal pats Althara on the shoulder who is still unaware all his friends are leaving.

Althara folded her books and walked in front of me. I kept putting my head in shame on Althara, because just yesterday I told her that if I was with Devan now she was watching for herself Devan's foul treatment that had hurt me.

We all walked into the school hall that was often used for performances and other events at school.

We all pull up the bench and form a circle to start the rehearsal, but not including althara who broke away because of her piano she lived in the music room. And she went back to reading her book in the corner of the room.

Already an hour later we are silent in the hall, all have been seen getting bored, Rizal and Edo are back playing games in their respective handphoene, while Kevin is still playing guitar.

“Duh bu Renatha where the hell was so long?” I said, who was getting bored.

I looked once more at Althara in the corner of the room who kept quiet and did not speak at all then I went to the cafeteria.

The atmosphere was getting quieter, the school hallway was clean from the students who had been crowded. It's been in class hours, so I can go to the cafeteria freely and without shame for not wearing a uniform.

“Neng Alhena Where to ? Said latian for the race event huh?” Ask the canteen aunt who was already so familiar with me.

My stomach was too hungry, as I walked I opened one of the loaves in my crackle bag. Just as I opened and put it in my mouth I saw a sight not wearing before me.

Devan and and the woman were walking towards me, and Devan was surprised when he saw me.

“Dev what's up?” Asked the woman to see Devan suddenly stupefied like seeing a ghost, then she looked at me ahead.

“Yes I already ya” and then the woman left a very cynical look at me.

I tried not to care about it, and went back straight regardless.

“Al” Devan confronts me.

I tried not to see her face that would just make me sick.

“Where are you out of ? Why not latian?”

“Abis from my short canteen” with cold.

Then I could look at her with such a disgusted look.

then I stepped back on my feet. And devan pulled my hand.

“You why even choose to go home with him anyway?” Devan's face turned irritated.

I was so calm when I saw her.

My breathing is getting irregular, I'm scared right now. I saw Devan's grip that was still not removed from my hand. Devan was still staring at me. I looked at Althara asking for her help before I cried in fear.

“Dev” Althara calls her so quiet.

My eyes began to get wet, feeling the pain of my hands and also feeling such great heartache to Devan.

Then forced Devan released his grip with annoyance, then looked at Althara with vengeance.

I immediately ran away from the psychopath and stopped beside Althara, I glanced at her, Althara still continued to stare cynically at Devan before her. Then I left them and went into the hall.

I wiped my tears first and went back inside the hall trying to calm down.

“Heh where is the food?” Ask Edo.

I forgot that the food had fallen and I couldn't take it back, because I was afraid of that bastard Devan.

“His food had fallen to the feet scattered so I did not pick up again” I tried to keep looking calm even though my heart was still pounding fast.

I kept panicking and still feeling scared.

“Kak, Miss Renatha where else?” I asked because I remembered that Althara said Miss Renatha was looking for me.

Then why did Althara say Miss Renatha was looking for me ?

Did he help me on purpose ?

“Hey kids sorry wait a long time” it's bu Renatha, quiet in the doorway

I was still silent at my place.

And not long before another sound of footsteps came into the hall.

“Abis where do you come from?” Ask Edo.

I know it's Althara. I didn't dare to turn my body around and look at her.

I shook my head in sadness, and tidied my things into the bag and went to follow everyone into the music room. Althara offset my steps, I stopped in the doorway making her also stop her steps.

I stared weakly at Althara, it would have seemed so obvious if I was feeling so messed up at the time. Althara looked back at me coldly, not a word coming out of my mouth or his mouth. Throughout the training I realized that I was not focused on singing. It seems like my energy has been drained by the incident earlier, a lot of thoughts that began to bother me during training.

Althara still glanced at me cynically while keeping her piano in her piano bag.

I really feel guilty for messing up the rehearsal today.

I turned my body with a face so upset hearing him say ‘cowo lu’ .

“But you can be professional first for now, we live a few more days, so I hope you can focus on the race first you thinkin cow lu”

I confirmed the position of my bag before I was ready to clash my mouth with this obnoxious man.

“Devan is not a guy I” I said so clearly that he understood.

“And not only devan who bothers my mind” said me so cynically.

He was silent for a moment by continuing to stare at me with his frown.

Althara's reasoning was so classic, yet I still felt dissatisfied with her answer. What answer did I expect ?
