Next day.
Laura looked hurriedly down the stairs of the second floor of the dormitory. This morning he woke up late, because of the actions of Gisel who whined last night wanted to watch a movie in the cinema, shortly after they finished shopping for books. They were able to return to the dorm almost at midnight. Fortunately the hostel guards were invited to negotiate to allow them to stay in, promising not to go home after curfew again.
"Laura, wait!" yelled Gisel who was following Laura running down the stairs.
"Ah, fuck. It's because you're Gisel." said Laura was upset as she continued to walk quickly towards her college building.
"Why blame me? You forgot to set the alarm yourself." Gisel did not take the blame by Laura. He tried to keep up with his friend's fast road.
"Ish, stop. I'm already too late. Talking to you will take up more of my time." Laura ran away leaving Gisel behind her.
"Laluraya!" Gisel yelled sulking, while running to catch up with Laura.
Gisel and Laura's college building is nearby. Gisel's lecture hall is right next to Laura's. It makes Laura and Gisel can visit each other's lecture building if you want to meet or just walk together.
"I'm in okay?!" said Laura to Gisel who seemed to be regulating her breath that was severed as a result of running. Gisel simply stared as he nodded, allowing Laura to enter first. He continued walking into his college building.
Laura's footsteps were so slow and half-toed when she was in front of her class. He slightly turned his head into the class. There already stood Sabiel lecturer who indeed this morning has a schedule to teach in Laura's class.
Laura held her breath as her eyes fluttered with Sabiel's eyes. He hesitated to enter. But Sabiel's nod made him calm again. Laura smiled broadly as she was finally able to enter the classroom.
At that moment Sabiel who was explaining his college eyes glanced at Laura who was walking to sit beside Rena.
Rena looked at Laura who was ready with her stationery. He leaned towards the ear of Laura who was close to him.
"Why is it too late?" rena half whispered. His eyes occasionally looked at the lecturer Sabiel who was seriously explaining the material.
"long story. I'll just say." Laura replied without looking at Rena.
Laura again listened to the material that lecturer Sabiel was presenting. His eyes stared alternately at Sabiel up ahead with the dictate book on his desk.
🍁🍁🍁
Classes were already quiet that afternoon, there were only a few students who were preparing to return home. Rena had already left class, only Laura was still struggling with her laptop. His books were left lying beside the table.
After tying her hair to a thumb, Laura's eyes stared back at the laptop screen before her. It's time to go back to writing for his long-abandoned blog.
His fingers are agile surfing on the surface of the keyboard. Pressing letter by letter to produce all the perfect words that begin to meet one page of microsoft word.
"Between you and me is a secret.
Hiding in a limited space of logic.
Enjoying a speck of desire in sheer boredom.
Worship the exotic side in the soul.
Sulking in the eyes.
Right and wrong are just their views.
The truth would be different if they felt...."
The voice that Laura had begun to memorize sounded softly in her ears. He looked up for a moment to confirm his conjecture of a figure standing half-bending behind him.
That guy. Again he who always suddenly came and read his writing.
"Mr.." said Laura as she closed her laptop.
"Wait!" sabiel's hand prevented Laura from closing her laptop. And he continued to read the writing that Laura had just made.
"Between you and me is a disaster.
In the middle of real life.
Your asia and I are different.
You came intentionally.
Guide me in a hole.
You and I are different.
Created to tease each other.
There is no hope, especially hope.
There's just a cradle of good pleasure."
After the writing was finished he read, Sabiel looked at Laura who was raising her head to look at him. They smile.
"Waws. Very bold words." he praised.
Sabiel walked towards the front of Laura, he took a chair for her to sit in front of the girl. Without a sound, Sabiel thrust out a can of the drink he had brought to Laura, and the girl picked it up.
"Thank you" he said slowly. Sabiel just smiled hearing that. His attention returned to the laptop that was still open.
"Thank you sir." Laura smiled happily at the compliment.
"I've been told not to be formal when we're just the two of us." Sabiel reminded Laura of her request that night.
Laura looked awkward hearing the tone of protest coming out of the lecturer's mouth. He was also hesitant to follow his request. However, the man before him was a lecturer, his age was far adrift with him. It would be inappropriate for Laura to treat her like a playmate.
"Come on.. Only at the moment we are like Laura, both." Sabiel insisted when he saw Laura's eyes that looked doubtful.
Laura seemed to think long, she stared awkwardly at Sabiel who looked hopeful.
"alright. If that's what you want?" laura said at the end. "You mean." Laura used a speech that still felt formal.
"So much better." Sabiel smiled before gulping down the canned drink he was holding.
"So, now what are you writing about?" sabiel asked interested in Laura who looked cool with her laptop. To the extent that the girl did not hear Sabiel's footsteps as she walked closer to him.
"Any writing about..." Laura hesitated to say it. It feels taboo to tell the imagination that has been filling his head to others directly.
During this time his writings can only be seen directly by the readers of his personal blog page. They do not know the person behind the writing. All they know is that the owner of the blog is a woman. It was only because the profile photo of the account there is a silhouette picture of a woman who was challenging twilight.
"About?" Sabiel raised his eyebrows staring curiously at Laura who had chosen to be silent since then.
"Love is forbidden" he said a little. His eyebrows slightly raised looked at Sabiel's face which continued to wait for his explanation.
"Well, that sounds interesting." Sabiel crossed his arms in front of his chest, and leaned his back on the back of the chair. A wide smile could not be separated from his face when he noticed Laura's clumsiness before him. "Tell me about the forbidden love you're going to write about." Sabiel looked even more excited waiting for Laura to open her mouth.
The sky of Bandung at that time looked beautiful in orange color that was slightly golden. The afternoon breeze blew silently making the leaves of the tree wiggle before touching itself to the earth. Several pairs of young people look back and forth hand in hand to welcome the night that is soon to come.
Two men of different ages, different genders were swept up in utopian talk of love. Sabiel's face shimmered brightly as he listened to Laura's words, who stubbornly stated that forbidden love is a mistaken human perception. For him, love is a blessing that God presents in the heart of every human being. There is no reason to justify the term forbidden love. Because love exists and does not exist according to God's will, not according to our will as humans.
Many people think that loving others is wrong. Or when he loves more than one man it is wrong. But that's not wrong at all. If the presence of love comes from God. What right does man have to make it forbidden?
"I think it's off limits or not, we can only see from the way the man handled his heart" Laura concluded. "If he could be wise to respond to another love in his heart as a test of endurance from his Lord. Then there will be no forbidden love." he continued.
"In contrast, if man cannot handle his heart wisely, then what we call forbidden love happens." Sabiel concluded Laura's assumption.
"That's right!" laura agreed. "But unfortunately, most of the people do not pass the test of endurance from their God" he continued, giggling amusedly considering the fact that humans are indeed created into creatures that are easily tempted.
"You're right." Sabiel chuckled at the truth of Laura's words.
In the blink of an eye, the two humans looked familiar to each other. Both Laura and Sabiel gave each other their views. No doubt Sabiel even had time to tell about his experience in a romantic relationship when he was relatively young. On several occasions they laughed together when the delinquents for the sake of juvenile delinquency that Sabiel had done came to their pleasant chat.
Laura's gaze turned on the classroom window that had begun to darken, she wiped the corner of her watery eyes from laughing.
"We are both cool to tell stories, unconsciously the day has gone into the night" he said while smiling kindly at Sabiel who looked at him gently.
"Yes. Youre right. We get too lost when we tell stories. Forgetting the time." Sabiel took a look at the condition of the sky out there that was getting dark.
"Oh yeah, what about your wife? you've been talking about the love of your teenage years, but until the story ends I don't hear your wife's name you say." asked Laura innocently.
Sabiel's face suddenly changed. There was a bitter feeling emanating from his black eyeball. Her heart became bland when Laura asked that question.
Of love? How Sabiel explained to the girl in front of him that love for his wife had long disappeared somewhere. Sabiel had forgotten the last time he felt love for his wife and the last time he felt loved by his wife.
"I'm sorry, are you done?"
The question of a college building guard saves Sabiel from Laura's question. He stared firmly and authoritatively at the young man in uniform who was standing half-bending at the doorstep of his class. Laura nodded her head in embarrassment at the officer.
"We're done" he said briefly.
His attention returned to Laura who seemed busy stuffing laptops and lecture diktats in her backpack.
"I think we should finish this 'extra lecture'" he said, grinning humorously at the embarrassed-smiling Laura.
"Am I going to get a plus with this unplanned 'extra lecture?" Laura grinned back at the lecturer in front of him.
"Oh sure, you'll always get a plus." Sabiel could not help but smile broadly at Laura.
"Value plus in my heart, Laura." continued later in my heart.
Sabiel stood up first, he placed his palm on the top of Laura's head, wiggling it slightly to make Laura's haired camper look messy.
"See you. It's nice to talk to you like this." she said before stepping into the classroom door without seeing Laura pursing her lips, holding back her hair.
Sabiel's footsteps came to a halt, he turned around to see Laura who was preparing to walk following him.
"Laura?"
"Yes. What's up?"
"Be careful" he said with a gentle smile before walking back, leaving Laura far behind.
