Young Lecturer Love Cage

Young Lecturer Love Cage
Chapter 13

After finishing his lecture session, Sabiel returned to his room. As per what he told Laura, he would call back the girl after she finished teaching.

While in class, Sabiel seemed not eager to give lectures. His mind continued to imagine Laura's face that was crying sob. He wanted to contact the girl again. He needs to listen to his voice.

Just as Sabiel was preparing to contact Laura, her phone rang first. His eyes looked lazily when Intan's name was on the screen.

Intan contacted him, after a few days lost no news. Finally, the wife who was far away from him contacted him again. Sabiel was forced to delay his desire to contact Laura immediately.

"Yes" Sabiel said flatly to Intan across the street.

"Darling, what are you doing right now?" Intan is stale.

"I'm still on campus. What's up?" Sabiel wanted to end Intan's call immediately.

"Darling, look..." Intan took a breath first before he continued his words. "My plan to return to Indonesia seems like I should cancel." Intan was silent for a moment waiting for Sabiel's response.

"Then?" Sabiel really did not care what his wife wanted to say. He opens his laptop and searches for documentation files while he and Laura are in Lembang. He wanted to look at Laura from the pictures.

"At this time I am busy with some events that will be held by the company" Intan said. "Can't you come here?" continued later.

"I can't go there, Intan. You think I don't have much work?" sabiel said lazily. Her lips smiled when she saw the adorable face of Laura that she managed to capture in the photo.

"I can't go back to Indonesia either, honey" Intan said, curbing his frustration.

"Yes, we better not meet. You're busy, I'm busy." Sabiel broke up later.

"Is it okay for you?" intan is doubtful. In his heart he smiled happily at what Sabiel said. She can focus more on her work, without being overshadowed by guilt for her husband being unable to return to Indonesia.

"It's okay, I'm used to it" he said casually but full of insinuations.

Unfortunately, Intan did not consider his speech as satire. He foolishly thought that Sabiel was getting used to long distance relationships.

"Well then, I'll call you later." Intan smiled in relief before closing her call.

Sabiel stared at his phone screen when Intan's call was dead. Sabiel's heart was completely dead to Intan. He does not care or will be angry again if Intan does not return for a long time. He doesn't care. In her mind, she had already established herself to immediately part with Intan and pursue her happiness with Laura. Currently Sabiel only needs a strong reason that can break Intan's defense which always forces Sabiel to remember his promise to the late Intan's parents.

That night Sabiel was forced not to contact Laura, after the telephone connection from Intan was interrupted, Sanjaya entered his room. Sabiel's adoptive father came to take Sabiel home with him to meet the invitation to dinner with Sanjaya's extended family.

While in other parts of the city, Laura seemed to fall asleep in a chair that was next to her father's bed. His head was bowed to the side of the bed with both hands supporting his head.

The food on the table that his uncle had brought back was still untouched. His father's condition at that time managed to eliminate his appetite.

"Laura.." Laura's father's lips are seen calling her son's name very weakly. He tried to move his fingers that felt stiff.

"Laura.." he said back. This time his voice was stronger than before.

The voice of the second call from his father managed to enter the subconscious Laura. In a flash, the girl's eyes instantly opened, the look of her eyes gleaming full of vigilance.

"Laura..."

The girl's eyes were perfectly rounded, as fast as lightning she straightened her body which had been bowed at the side of the bed. Her eyes were watering again as soon as she saw her father waking up from his long slumber. Relief instantly flooded his heart.

"Dad" he said softly at the figure of his father who now looked at him weakly. "Dad you up?!" continued again.

The old man named Rama gave a little smile to Laura. Next to her hand was trying to reach the pretty face of Laura who was half-bent before her face. Laura greeted the weak hand carefully, as there was an infusion hose there. He took his father's hand to put it on his cheek that was moist because of tears.

"Don't cry dear." said Rama lirih. "Dad doesn't like to see you cry" she continued.

"If.... If you don't like to see your son cry, you should be able to take care of your health so that I don't have to see you lying here" said Laura snorting angrily at his father's face who smiled gently at him.

"When did you come?" he asked slowly, his fingers rubbed gently the tears that flowed on his son's cheeks.

"So late afternoon." said Laura. His chest was relieved to see his father's two eyeballs looking at him gently. The grievances of his old age were so clearly visible from the corner of his eyes when he smiled to get rid of the sadness that a moment ago engulfed his son's heart.

Before answering her father's question, Laura put herself to sit on the side of the bed next to her father's feet. His hand moved to gently massage his father's leg.

"Everything went well dad. So far there's no meaningful obstacle there." Laura stared at the shade of her father's eyeballs. "Dad doesn't have to think about my college problem, all you have to think about right now is your own health" he continued.

Rama just smiled without saying, he knew his only child was so worried about him. Ever since his wife died, Laura has been the only solace when he felt tired of living. Now, after Laura studied in a city far from her sight. His heart was so quiet, empty unfilled. But he also could not bear to Laura to continue his education there. Laura managed to get into one of the best universities in Indonesia by struggling to get a scholarship, of course it is a proud thing. She couldn't possibly have told Laura to forget her dream, just because she felt lonely without Laura by her side.

"I'm still in Jakarta, I don't know when I'll be back. I wanted to accompany my father first, gisel." Laura told Gisel across the street.

Laura moved the phone that was on the right of her ear, on her left ear. His right hand opened the window.

In the morning before the capital, sunlight has begun to give its sting to creatures on the face of the earth. Today's weather was so sunny that Laura couldn't open her father's window and let the sun barge in between the iron-clad windows.

Laura looked at her father who was still soundly asleep. The night after that brief conversation with her father, Laura was finally able to smile in relief welcoming morning. His father is starting to improve. The fear and uneasiness vanished had changed the glow of hope that lit up in the recesses of his heart.

"All right, I get it. May your father recover Laura. This room feels empty without you." said Gisel with a voice intonation that sounded spoiled.

Laura chuckled at Gisel's distinctive spoiled tone of voice. The other friend even though they are the same age. But Gisel's spoiled nature, makes Laura treat him like a sister herself. And it seems Gisel treats Laura like her own sister too. The longer their attitude is so natural to play the role of brothers, there is no awkward attitude between the two. Laura, who was born without a brother, certainly welcomed all the attitudes of Gisel that he thought was very pleasant.

"Later I'll be back there, you take it easy." Laura smiled happily. "Gisel is already yes, my aunt's uncle is coming." Laura immediately hung up her phone as soon as her uncle and aunt walked in from behind the door of the room.

Laura walked casually down the hallways of the hospital that began to be crowded that morning. This big hospital is more visible to live with the number of people who come and go somewhere. His eyes saw a group of nurses who seemed to be preparing equipment for a visit morning with a middle-aged doctor.

Laura kept going, her goal was a drug-taking counter. The pocket is next to the reception desk. To walk there, Laura had to pass through several rooms that seemed to be where the doctors performed a general examination. Laura saw the prospective patients sitting neatly in the long chair in front of one of the closed rooms.

"Once again, it's not our job to decide. We have to report to the more competent authorities about this worker's insurance."

Hearing the words of a young nurse at the reception desk who was talking to a man in front of her, Laura who was in front of the medicine counter looked towards the receptionist.

A man in his 30s was holding a piece of water he was about to thrust at the nurse in front of him. His face looks angry. Laura could not see in detail the man's face, because of his position at the side. From the appearance, the man in a mature brown skin was wearing a jeans suit combined with a black short-sleeved shirt. The man restored his curtain-style black hair when the nurse returned the sheet the man had thrust out.

"My friend needs immediate treatment, he has no family here but me. Please do not hinder the treatment under the pretext of insurance can not be used." the man looks emotional.

Some of the visitors at the hospital looked on with a curious look at what was going on at the reception desk.

"I don't mean to hinder. Your friend's insurance cannot be used. You can talk to the authorities if you want." The nurse was no less emotional facing the stubborn man before her.

"You hooked me up with the authorities dealing with worker insurance. Tell him, the Milky Way from Labor Ormas wants to talk" he said straightforwardly.

Laura looked dumbfounded at the name she recognized being called by the man. His eyes seemed nimble trying to control the feeling of astonishment mixed with shock that made his chest beat rapidly all of a sudden.

With a doubtful step, he tried to approach the man with a waistline in front of the nurse who was making a phone call behind the table. With all her might, Laura tried to convince herself to ascertain the truth of the figure near her at this time.

"Male.. The Milky Way, is that you?!" the hesitant call made Laura turn her head to look at Laura who was standing not far from her place.

The Milky Way tilted its head in wonder. His eyes looked at Laura who seemed to be covering her mouth with a palm. His eyes were filled with disbelief.

"I.. Ilyang." said Laura then.

The Milky Way's eyes were perfectly rounded, hearing the one name he remembered vividly in his mind. His heart raced even faster when he saw Laura start to step back toward him slowly.

A reed? It was a blog from an account named Laura that almost every time she saw. There he often reciprocates prose with the account owner without knowing the true appearance of the blogger.

It turns out that it is true, God is the one who arranges all human encounters with other humans. And unexpectedly, the Milky Way is now met with a stubborn woman who always refuses her request to meet in the real world.

Laura's? You it?
