Night in Sabiel's house.
"Okay Mister, I'll tell you when the departure time comes" Intan seemed to smile happily talking to one of the CEOs of a fashion company in Singapore via mobile connection.
"We will be very much looking forward to your involvement in our company" a faint voice sounded from the adult man from across the street.
"good. Thank you." Thank you." Intan nodded his head even though someone across the street did not see him. He was already happy because his dream to become a talented young designer abroad seemed to be achieved in a moment.
In fact, Intan has been planning to move to Singapore and pursue a career there for a long time. But the plan did not go smoothly, because Sabiel her husband never approved her to move to Singapore. That made him disengaged and had to accept to work as a texstil designer in Kembang City.
But some time ago, Intan received an email from one major fashion company in Singapore. They had seen Intan's design work on the social media page and were interested in inviting Intan Join at the company. Intan who was too happy and proud, and immediately agreed to the invitation without negotiating it first with Sabiel. As a result Sabiel was angry with him, until some days even he did not want to talk to Intan. Until finally Intan promised Sabiel, if he could enter and become the main designer in the company. Then he would agree to have a child. Sabiel finally agreed.
After a long talk with the CEO of the company, Intan closed his phone and turned to approach Sabiel who was sitting on the bed. His eyes were fixed on a book he was reading. Sabiel heard the conversation, but he didn't care.
"Darling, did you hear?" Intan climbed onto the mattress and took a place beside the indifferent Sabiel. " The company wants to see me. They expect me to agree to be one of the apprentice designers in his company." A proud smile rose from her tiny lips.
"Darling..." Intan sulks when she sees no response from her husband.
"Yes I heard." said Sabiel ketus. He is lazy whenever Intan talks about his career. She considers Intan too ambitious to pursue her career until she forgets her duty as a wife.
"I'm going to go there this weekend." Intan is excited. "I can't wait to get there" he continued, patting a pillow for him to wear on his head.
"Then what about me?" sabiel asked, looking at his wife who was preparing to go to sleep.
"Whatchu mean? Didn't you approve my departure?" Intan asked in wonder.
"That's because you forced me. Not my will." replied Sabiel cynically. "Didn't you think of me when you said you wanted to make a career there?" Sabiel was furious with Intan's selfishness. Intan always put forward his career rather than his obligations.
"Darling, come on.. Why are you suddenly talking like that?" Intan asked Sabiel to understand.
"You don't think about my needs as a husband, Intan." Sabiel closed the rough book he had read earlier. His gaze was fully fixed on Intan who was beginning to rise again from his sleep.
"Sex you mean?! Dear God, the distance between Bandung and Singapore is not too far away. Neither me nor you, we can visit each other." Intan presents a solution to Sabiel's concerns about his needs as a husband.
"Constant. We are husband and wife, is it natural that we are far away for a long time? Husbands don't just need sex. He needs attention, he needs encouragement, he needs the full love of his wife." Sabiel tried to hold back his rage.
"But I did it." Intan shrugged his shoulders to defend himself.
"I feel the Intan. I feel how you behave to your husband." Sabiel nodded in disbelief.
Sabiel took a deep breath when he saw Intan's eyes that looked red and watery. His breath was heard hunting uncontrollably. That gun. Crying and remembering Sabiel's promise to keep him to his late parents. And as usual, Sabiel had to be willing to lower his ego and succumb to his stubborn wife.
"That's it, I don't want us to fight. You better get some sleep." Sabiel was about to get off his bed but Intan's hand held him back.
"You're gonna leave me? You promised me... "
"Ssttth! I'm just going to the study. Not leaving you." Sabiel's index finger stuck to Intan's lips to remind him of the promise. Intan let go of her grip on Sabiel's arm, letting her husband walk towards her study.
The door closed from the outside, Sabiel stroked his chest for a moment. Calming the still turbulent emotions in his heart. If only he had not promised Intan's parents, he would have divorced her a long time ago.

Sabiel continued to look at the darkness of the night from behind the window of his study. Ludwig Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata melodies flow beautifully through the rare Gramophone that he got as one of his parents' heritage which is a collector of black plates.
For a moment he could neutralize his emotions that almost ignited due to the selfishness of his wife. His head that had been dizzy gradually improved. As it turns out, there was once a person who said that a little distance to the two turbulent hearts was indeed necessary. Now his condition justifies that expression. To prevent bad things from happening, both humans should make a partition. To protect yourself from uncontrollable emotional outbursts.
Sabiel kneaded his temple slowly. He was furious about Intan's unilateral desire to go to Singapore. The career in his dream was none other than the shackles that ensnared Sabiel's neck with sharp thorns that stuck without him being able to escape.
What exactly is Intan looking for? All her needs as a woman, have been met with abundance. Although Sabiel is only a young lecturer at one of the universities. But Sabiel's parents did not leave Sabiel empty-handed. Some of the properties in downtown Bandung, are his. Outlets scattered on Jalan Setiabudi and Jalan Martadinata also belong to him. Not to mention the inheritance in the form of deposits and shares that her parents left for Sabiel as her only child. That was all enough to finance Sabiel's small family of up to seven derivatives.
Actually Sabiel is not the type of husband who does not like when his wife works. At the beginning of his relationship with Intan, Sabiel was very supportive of Intan's desire to work. Even Sabiel provides facilities to support Intan's career. But Sabiel's support was misused by Intan. Intan selfishly continued to focus on her career, ignoring her obligations as a wife. Intan never prepared Sabiel's needs such as clothes for teaching, food for breakfast or dinner. Even Sabiel often ate alone without the presence of Intan beside him. Until now Sabiel did not want to dispute the trivial technical matters. The big problem is only because Intan's career even had to make Sabiel wait for his readiness to have a child.
A year and two years, Sabiel tried to continue to be patient with Intan's selfish attitude. Until without feeling seven years he has passed the heresy of his household with various drama quarrels. If you feel cornered, Intan will certainly remind Sabiel back to his promise before his late parents Intan. That he won't leave Intan, no matter what. And that's why Sabiel always gave up.
Sabiel was really in a depressed state. On one hand he is bound by that promise, on the other hand he wants to be free from Intan.
What should Sabiel do at this moment? Indeed, he was already at the point where he felt bored living in a household. He wants to feel loved well.
Until the melodic instrument Moonlight Sonata finished in the listen, Sabiel still silently looked at the pitch-black sky of Bandung. The dark silangit there as a shadow of beautiful life is drawn. Like a screen, in the sky Sabiel imagined the conditions where he had a beautiful and kind wife, smiling gently at the little boys running around with him. The wife painstakingly prepared the food she took out from the square basket made of rattan intertwined. When the food was ready, she called her husband and children. His slender hand waved, Sabiel immediately ran towards his wife, and followed by the laughing boys cheerfully chasing after her.
Sabiel suddenly shook his head violently, as the look on his imaginary wife's face displayed a familiar figure.
"Why him?" mumbled wailing.
