“Kak, Bang Abi phone, nih!”
“Kak!”
Brak!
“Aww”
Ata let go of her laugh when she saw her eldest brother hit the table. The sharp gaze of the brother did not make Ata feel fear. The laughter just got wider.
“Ati-ati times, Brother. Bang Abinya will not run away, kok,” seloroh Ata while switching Caca's phone that still makes video calls.
“Cash!” sulk Caca while denying her flat objects.
The beautiful girl who was now in disarray had hurriedly corrected her hair before raising the call. While walking towards the kitchen, Caca put his phone right in front of his face. The girl's sweet smile was simply engraved when the husband's face was plastered full there.
“Halo, Darling,” greet Abhimanyu from across there.
Abhimanyu is now in the post where he is devoted. The man had been there for a week. Abhimanyu keeps his promise to Caca to keep contacting him while he is free.
“Hai, no longer busy?”
Caca put his phone on the pantry table. Put it on a glass jar filled with cookies. Caca stood in front of his camera while continuing his activities earlier.
“No, this just finished teaching little kids learn.”
Abhimanyu seemed to walk while carrying his phone. The young man then sat in a place that was bright enough for the image to be clearly visible.
“What are you doing again?” abhimanyu asked his wife.
“You made a cake, yesterday mother gave the recipe to me,” replied Caca. The girl confirmed the roll of her hair before then again breaking the egg on top of a large bowl.
“Yes, I can not ticipin your homemade cake, dong,” reply Abhimanyu with face made sad.
Caca giggled amusedly. “Not necessarily good also time cake made me.” The girl then turned her head towards the door as the sound of footsteps came into the kitchen.
“Bi, please take my mixer there, dong,” said Caca.
From across there Abhimanyu could hear the voice of his sister-in-law saying yes. Soon a dough mixer that Caca asked for appeared on his phone screen. Caca's grumbling voice followed before his face was again seen on the screen of his phone. Abhimanyu could only laugh seeing his wife grumbling, while his sister-in-law laughed very loudly.
With a slightly forward lip Caca resumed her activities. He occasionally responded to Abhimanyu's words. They asked each other about the day's activities and much more they talked about.
“Jeez, video call from earlier is still not finished too?”
Ata's loud voice received a sharp spotlight from Caca. However, instead of leaving, Ata actually approached and showed his face on the sister's phone.
“Bang Abi come home, huh! Do not have to join KKN all if a day video call with his wife can be up to four times,” burles the teenager. He doesn't think about what they're doing.
Since yesterday Ata caught her brother talking to his husband. Whether it's through voice calls alone or with video calls like this. It's like they're not out of conversation. There's always something they tell you when they exchange votes.
Instead of being angry with his sister-in-law's words, Abhimanyu laughed out loud. The young man then offered the wife to be contacted at night so that Caca could do his work with more focus. However, it turns out that Caca's answer is very different from Abhimanyu's shadow. The woman shook her head quickly, coupled with pursed lips, making the woman look very adorable at her rejection.
Ata who was still beside the elder sister could only shake her head with an amused look. The teenager almost threw his hand at Caca's head if she hadn't turned her head.
“Basic, bucin!” ata before moving on to leave the two lovebirds.
“Iri says, boss!” reply Caca while sticking out her tongue. He put a fierce face on his sister before the teenager left the kitchen.
“You fight mulu, yes,” said Abhimanyu. The young man looked to hold his head up in his hand.
“She was, tuh!”
Caca's lips pursed in annoyance. His eyes seemed to be glancing towards the kitchen door. His breathing seemed resigned when someone went back in.
“Eh, no father's ghost.”
Caca rolled his eyes lazily as the father approached. He knew that the man who was almost old would also be mocked like Ata.
“Malem, Well,” saya Abhimanyu.
“Dad! When do I cry, try!” Caca glanced cynically at the father without fear.
“Do not believe, Bi, dad lied!”
“Oh, so you don't miss me?”
The question made Caca shake his head instantly.
“No, that's not what I mean,” elak Caca.
“Udah, Bi, go home. Caca can't stand sleeping alone.”
“Dad!” jolt Caca again. The woman stood up, then pushed Banyu's body out of the kitchen. He was disturbed by two men in his house.
After threatening Banyu not to bother him again, Caca returned to meet Abhimanyu. They talked for a long time, but this time it was dominated by Abhimanyu's advice that Caca not behave like that to his father.
Eleven o'clock in the evening Caca threw herself in bed still with a video call from Abhimanyu that had not been turned off. The new routine they never forget as long as Abhimanyu has not returned from his college duties.
**
Many campus canteens greeted Caca and his two best friends. The three girls swung their feet towards the empty table not far from the entrance. One of the servants approached and recorded their order, then returned to the kitchen to prepare it.
Sofi and Maya look at each other when they see Caca from earlier looks very agitated staring at his phone.
“Lo why, anyway?” tease Maya while nudging Caca's arm.
Caca glanced over before clicking his tongue.
“Neither papa,” the answer is brief.
Maya and Sofi don't believe it. They kept asking alternately until Caca felt desperate and also angry.
“Gue is waiting for the chat Abi, why the hell are you guys!”
Caca's answer made his two best friends jolt amusedly. Both of them almost spouted laughter if only Caca did not stare at them sharply.
Both of them lip smooching simultaneously before finally both say, “Bucin really, lo!”
“Diem lo both!” jolt Caca with a face full of annoyance.
His emotions that had reached the crown felt like they were going to explode at this moment. Since this morning, he has been annoyed with Abhimanyu. The young man did not contact after last night being caught chatting with his group's female friends so gently as he and Abhimanyu made a video call.
A very jealous Caca disconnected their video call all of a sudden. He was jealous of what Abhimanyu had just done. Even the voice call from the husband kept Caca ignored despite dozens of times heard. He turned off his phone so that Abhimanyu would no longer disturb his sleep, which was covered in jealous flames.
However, when he woke up Caca had to swallow disappointed, because Abhimanyu did not contact him back. He who is currently holding back the longing for not being able to meet in person is made even more homesick without the voice of Abhimanyu who welcomed his morning even though only by telephone like the last two weeks.
Until the afternoon is almost finished Caca still did not get any news from the soul mate. The girl was truly sorry for her own stupidity. He realized that he should not behave like that to Abhimanyu. He should have better understood what Abhimanyu did was the right thing, because it was impossible for Abhimanyu to answer someone's question in a high tone.
The longing that Caca felt grew even greater when there was no news from the husband. He wanted to hear the man's voice even for one second, but he was too proud to call first.
Caca looked so lethargic as she entered her childhood home. Yes, Caca chose to stay at her parents' house for two weeks because she missed her family. There he will also not feel lonely with the existence of his two super crowded siblings.
“Why are you, Brother?” sapa Jingga when the eldest daughter was sitting limp beside him who was watching television.
Without looking at his mother Caca replied, “Neither papa, Ma. Tired aja.”
Orange nodded without asking. He rubbed his daughter's back head gently, then told Caca to clean up immediately.
Not wanting to argue, Caca just got up from his seat. He dragged his bag which somehow felt very heavy at the moment and made his steps so slow.
The eldest daughter of Jingga and Banyu was still thinking about the situation of the husband who had not given him news since. He was afraid something might happen to Abhimanyu. Worry began to fill Caca's head.
I didn't feel like the steps were in front of the room. The matted-faced woman pushed the door open. The dark greeted him. Missing the husband's embrace on the bed began to come back ambush and it felt like Caca really wanted to cry, because she missed her husband's figure too much.
“Where are you going, Bi?” mummified Caca lirih. Her lips were as if she wanted to cry. He hurriedly closed the door and turned on the lights.
Caca wanted to immediately lay himself on the bed to rest his soul and body. However, while turning around, Caca was made dumbfounded by what he saw before his eyes.
