Trapped With The Devil

Trapped With The Devil
Section 60

Eros always woke up early, because all his life he never slept well, only about two to three hours. But when he saw the wall clock hanging in his room, Eros thought he might not experience insomnia again.

It's noon already. More than nine in the morning and when Eros looked out the slightly open window, everything had turned white. Snow seemed to fall heavily overnight so that it covered the entire yard of his originally green house.

The feeling is heightened when someone in his arms appears to be making small movements. Eros smiled gently as she felt the soft skin touch her own skin.

This isn't a dream.

That hair, that body, even that scent is real. Not something that will disappear when Eros wakes up from his sleep.

Eros gave a light peck in one of the woman's ears so that the owner squirmed softly.

“Hmm?” Selena mumbled hoarsely. Trying to glance at Eros who was holding him from behind.

“You awake?”

Selena rubbed her eyes. “What time?”

“Nine.”

Selena opened her eyes wider. “You didn't go to the office?”

“I must punish Andreas and let him take care of my work.”

Selena grunts. “You're still a grudge against him, huh?”

Eros tightened his embrace. “No.” Actually, he just did not want to lose the moment with Selena when the first day of snow fell like this. Eros loved winter because he always dreamed of having Christmas Eve with his family. Although in fact the dream never materialized when both parents are still complete.

Maybe for Christmas this time he can realize his dream that was delayed.

“Are you hungry?” ask Eros later. She can't be selfish because Selena is pregnant.

Selena nodded shyly.

Eros chuckled softly. The man shuffled from the bed and grabbed his sleeping robe. “Wait here, I'll get you breakfast.”

Selena's riveted. Seeing the man's sincere smile—his heart suddenly thumped.

**

Alex glanced at Aster who was in his lap and smiled faintly, then glanced at the snowy road he was passing by.

Maybe his heart has not healed, but his son is a medicine that will always relieve every pain he feels.

Whatever Emilia had done, Alex would never be able to hate her. He had never left Emilia even though he could not see her every day. He always prayed for Emilia, hoping that she would always be okay.

And Eros...

As he said, he would always love that man to any moment. One day he hopes to meet Eros and see the man's happy smile.

**

In one of the rooms was Emilia who was sitting on a wheelchair and staring at the snow from behind the window. His expression was flat, but tears came down past his reddened cheeks from the cold. On his lap was a letter with a neat writing— belonging to someone he loved so much.

You gave birth to a son who was so handsome. Her eyes are as beautiful as yours, Emilia. Even though our baby was born prematurely, but my love for him did not diminish in the slightest.—like my love for you.

Eat and sleep well. I will take good care of our children too. One day you'll have to heal in order to see our grown-up son.

I never leave, I will always be in your heart and vice versa. They say I'm stupid for loving you even though I've been hurt. But they don't know if hate hurts more than love—then I choose to still love you.

To my wife, Emilia.

**

Orlando took a sip of tea and glanced at the man standing beside his seat.

The man nodded.

Orlando kept his teacup and nodded slowly. The man raised his hand, gesturing for his man to come out of the room.

But before that fellow actually left, Orlando came back to say something. “Please send roses to William's house and send my message to Selena.”

**

Selena put on her nightgown and went down the stairs. The aroma of toast poured out into all corners of the house, making his stomach even more rumbling.

Eros was arranging toast on a plate when Selena entered the kitchen. His eyebrows shot up, this was the first time he had seen the man cooking. Selena thought, Eros is just a haughty man who can only tell people with his index finger. And where did the chef who used to prepare food for him go?

“Didn't I tell you to stay on top?” eros asked as Selena walked over to him.

“You can cook?” Instead of answering, the woman asked another question. “Since when? Where's the chef who used to cook for me?”

Eros glanced at the woman for a moment. “You haven't answered my question, dear.”

“Dear?” Selena frowning. “It sounds disgusting,” Selena said frontal.

Eros smiled slantingly as he placed a plate filled with toast in front of Selena. “Really? Because I saw your cheeks blush.”

Selena rolled her bored eyes, then sat on the chair with sparkling eyes. He did not care about Eros, he only cared about the two brown toast.

Eros' eyebrows shot up as Selena directly devoured her toast using both hands. The woman looked greedy and it only took her a minute to finish her bread.

“What's there still?” Selena looks up.

Eros. “You...still hungry?”

Selena turned her face. “I, do not eat alone.”

Ah, Eros forgot that Selena was pregnant. Fortunately, he made four loaves of toast, although the remaining two were actually for himself.

“You sure you can spend it all?” asked Eros while putting the remaining two loaves of bread. The man then took a glass and poured warm chocolate milk into it.

Selena just slow down while going back to devouring her bread with blushing cheeks. “You didn't have breakfast?”

Eros shrugged his shoulders. “I...not hungry.” He again gasped as Selena finished her warm milk in one gulp.

The man chuckled. She could see the other side of Selena when she was pregnant. All this time he just sat in the office without knowing how difficult it was to be happy when Selena was pregnant.

“Sorry, Mr.”

The two turned to look at a man in black clothes who came and bowed slowly.

Eros's eyebrows raised to see the bouquet of roses brought by the man.

“What's in your hand?” ask Eros while approaching.

“Ah, this..” The man looked doubtful. “There are flower deliveries for Mrs Selena.”

Eros glanced at Selena who was staring at the man in the suit with a frown.

Eros grabbed the bouquet of roses and his gaze was immediately fixed on a small note embedded in it.

It's good to see you back.

Orlando Cloe's.

Eros smiled obliquely, then squeezed the paper to formless. Apparently there is still one fly that he has not cleared.
