Trapped With The Devil

Section 17

Selena lets the waiters carry her suitcase when she and Eros return home. After the incident where Eros almost lost his life, the man became even more reserved. They come home earlier than the scheduled day and it seems Eros is no longer concerned about the show stalking Alex and Emilia.

Selena stared at Eros' back as the man handed his suit to one of the maids and climbed the stairs with quick steps. It seemed as if the servants were aware of her Master's strange gait, as Selena saw some servants glancing towards her with a puzzled look.

Eros closed his eyes while enjoying the drops of water falling from the shower above his head.

His heart was still sore, but the flames that raged within his chest seemed to dim. Even when he passed Emilia and Alex before leaving the hotel, he felt nothing. Hate so big as if lost in the wind, go somewhere. And to his confusion, Eros had no idea why he could become like this...

Every time she tried to close her eyes, the shadow of Selena's face that called out her name worriedly always appeared suddenly. Then everything will lead to memories where he rejects the woman and confines her without feeling.

Eros hates when he doesn't understand himself and what he feels on his chest. Selena's attitude and words sometimes don't match. The woman plainly declares that she hates Eros, but then saves her life without a second thought.

No thanks, after the incident Eros could not even glance at Selena. I don't know what, he said, he didn't understand.

But Selena once said something to him that night— before leaving her room with a flat expression.

"I must admit, even though I hate you, I can't watch you die in front of me. No need to thank you, I know people like you won't say things like that."

Selena is one of those people who ignore her personal feelings just to help people who have obviously hurt her. Sounds stupid, but what he did was right, because he knew what the pain of loss was like.

Early in the morning, Selena was already standing in front of the mirror with her t-shirt and jeans. Spring is almost over, the air becomes a little warmer than usual. He glanced at the suitcase that was accidentally left next to the dresser after returning from the Maldives. His resolve is round. He must leave this house immediately. Anywhere. If need be to the end of the world where Eros can't find him anymore.

After taking a breath, Selena glanced back at her reflection in the mirror. He could not sleep all night, rolled back and forth and ended up sitting by the window looking up at the sky. No matter how people try to build their lives as simple as possible, no one will ever be able to avoid trouble.

The door was knocked, Selena glanced at it before saying, "get in." Because he was thought to be a waiter who only delivered breakfast.

"Where are you going?"

Selena looked quickly. That's Eros. With an all-black work suit and hair combed back.

"What's wrong?" Rather than answering Eros' question, Selena was more curious as to why the man would visit her room in a blind morning like this.

"I asked you first." But as usual, Eros is a very stubborn figure.

Selena tried not to breathe. "As I said in the Maldives, I can't go on with this."

There was no meaningful expression Eros showed. The man just looked at her with a flat face.

Selena shrugged when Eros did not respond to anything, she grabbed her small bag and the suitcase that was beside the dressing table.

"Although you forced me to do all this, but I want to thank you for all the luxurious facilities you provide." Selena lowered her head slowly before passing Eros who was still silent like a statue. "From the beginning we weren't friends, so I hope things will come back that way."

While descending the stairs, Selena seemed to stop and glanced at Eros who was also glancing towards her. He was happy because the man did not hold him back, with words or actions. But still, everything feels strange.

"Selena?"

As Selena searches for a taxi, a white porsche car suddenly stops at the edge of the road.

Selena does not see Leo's arrival as a lucky one, as the man is Eros' friend. And Leo must have known that he lived in Eros' house all this time.

As if understanding, Leo quickly nodded. "Would you like to go back to the apartment?"

Selena smiled stiffly. "Yes, that's it."

"Then go up, I'll take you." Leo smiled broadly. How could that man be so good friends with Eros? Their characters are very different. Even though Leo once helped Eros to lock him in a warehouse.

"No," Selena wagged. "I can take a taxi."

Leo seemed to have found out that Selena was going to turn down her offer, so the man opened his seatbelt and got out of the car. Her hand deftly grabbed Selena's suitcase and stuffed it into the trunk.

"No. No. gabe. I can take a cab."

Leo smiled without sin. "Here you go, I won't do anything to you." The man encourages Selena's body to get into the car and without awkwardly attaches her seat belt as well.

Selena shock's. He could say nothing as Leo sat on the steering wheel and drove his car forward with a satisfied smile. Now he understood, why Eros and Leo could be so familiar, because they were both coercors!

The two people did not realize that there was someone who noticed all those events with a difficult to interpret gaze.

"Do we have to follow Mr Leo?"

"no need. Just go to the office."

For the second time, Selena got out of Leo's car. The difference this time there is no dress, but only a casual suit that looks so contrasted with the formal suit used by Leo.

"One more time, thank you."

"No problem." Leo took Selena's suitcase out of the trunk and handed it to the owner. Like the night they first met, Selena only stayed there all the way. "Not to interfere, but I don't know what happened to you and Eros." Both of Leo's shoulders lifted, the man's expression looked solemn. "Whatever happens, I want to apologize on behalf of Eros and myself."

Selena looked at the end of her shoes and bit her lips. He understood what Leo was trying to convey, including his personal apology. Apparently the man remembered.

"Everything has happened" Selena lifted her head and tried to smile. "It's just the past." In fact, his wound still remains today.

Leo shakes. "Maybe we were too young, but it was all wrong, right?"

"It's good if you know that it's wrong now."

Leo chuckles. Selena's not so bad. Just because of his less attractive appearance, so he was excommunicated first.

"Then I say goodbye." Selena smiled for a while then turned around.

"No tea?"

Leo's words made Selena look back. Eyebrows raised.

Leo smiled again until his eyes narrowed. "No. No. gabe. I was just kidding," he said, touching Selena's shoulders and encouraging her to continue.
