Emilia had a bad dream these few days. In the dream, everyone left him, Alex was no exception. He always woke up in the middle of the night and found the side of his bed empty. Almost every night, Alex would sit in the living room alone while sipping an alcoholic liquid that was actually rarely consumed by the man.
Alex has always looked tough but lately the man has been more silent. When someone delivered Eros and Selena's wedding invitation, Alex didn't even comment.
“I think I should stay at Mom's house,” Emilia said as Alex was putting up her shoes on the doorstep.
“No need. Later Mom thought no-no,” Alex said in a flat tone. He didn't want his family's problems to go anywhere. “Today there will be a household assistant, so you just take a break.”
Emilia stroked her stomach. “About Your Mother—“
“You don't need to think about that, doctor says you shouldn't stress,” sidelines Alex fast. The man did not turn his head in the direction of Emilia.
“Alex...” call Emilia down.
“Hmm?”
The woman suddenly hugged Alex from behind with teary eyes. “Should we...go from here?”
Alex was speechless as he looked at Emilia's trembling hands hugging her slender belly.
Did his treatment hurt the woman?
“It does not matter if we have to live in a narrow house or in a remote place. As long as it is with you. I willingly.” Emilia tightened her embrace. “Maybe I'm selfish, but please.don't ever leave me again.” The crying gets louder. “I beg..”.
Alex's throat was stuck. He turned his back to return Emilia's embrace, even though the woman's tears were soaking in her shirt, Alex didn't care.

Selena was still wearing her nightgown when a servant knocked on the door.
“What?”
The waiter bowed for a moment. “Mistress is waiting for you under.”
Selena frowned, then sighed softly. All of that must be due to her wedding invitation with Eros.

Lady William and Selena sat opposite each other. There was no tea or snack— which is proof that the middle-aged woman wanted to involve her in a serious conversation.
As far as Selena was concerned, Lady William never looked at her like she was looking at Emilia. Selena never intended to make Lady William sympathize with her. He knew where it was and would not be offended if Lady William showed her blatant dislike. Such a trivial view, Selena often get.
“I won't mince words.” Lady William took a slow breath. “I know you and Eros don't love each other. I hope you think about this marriage again. You know what's going on in this family, right?”
Selena raised her head. At that time he only realized the black color under the eye bags of Mrs William. “What are you really worried about?”
Lady William gulped. A bunch. There's a lot he's worried about. But he has to keep everything to himself, because if all of those things are revealed, the problem will get more complicated. “Marriage without love is wrong. My son is just heartbroken to see his ex-lover marry his own sister.”
“Why did Madam say all this to me?” Selena smiled in frustration. “What Madam wants to affirm that Madam's child only uses me?”
Lady William choked.
Selena chuckles bitterly. “The girl gave birth to Eros, didn't she? Then what's the point of Madam pressing me like this?”
Their conversation will never come to fruition, as Eros will never take Selena off. The stubbornness of the man—should have Mistress William understand.
“So you'll still marry her?”
Selena sighed softly. “Eros who dragged me into this problem. Do I need to tell all the treatment of Madam's son to me?”
Eros Treatment?
Seeing that the middle-aged woman was just speechless, Selena finally stood up from her seat. “I'm sorry if any of my words offended Madam,” he said while bowing slowly. “But never say to me as if I am chasing after the son of Madam—what else spread gossip.”
Lady William quickly looked up. Selena knows. The woman knows that she has been spreading rumors about her relationship with Leo.
“Like it or not, the invitation is already spread,” added Selena smiled wryly. “From on continuing to press others and thinking of ways to separate me with Eros, it is better Madam pray a lot.” Selena bowed again, before leaving Lady William who only smiled blandly after hearing the woman's words.

The wedding invitations and rumors between Eros and Selena so quickly spread like a virus. As time went on without feeling, days changed, until Selena wore a wedding dress that was so luxurious it—all still like a dream.
Selena was treated like a queen. From head to toe, everything is handled by professional makeup artists and designers, all imported directly from Paris.
No family, no relatives, not even Sam—the person closest to him—lag hung up last night. Probably didn't think that Selena would take the decision to marry Eros instead of leaving the man.
“Is Miss Selena ready?” A woman suddenly appeared from behind the door and was stunned to see Selena's appearance from the reflection of the mirror. “You are so beautiful, Miss!”
Selena just smiled blandly. She lifted her dress up a little and turned around.
“Master Eros is already waiting for you at the altar.”

Love's.
If the love were still there, perhaps his steps would tremble.
Shaking as he saw the man in the black tux waiting for him there. Shaking because of the feeling of pleasure that is too swollen. I can't wait for the union of two souls in a sacred bond.
But what felt, the steps were stiff. Sometimes it was as if he was not treading on the floor under his feet. His gaze was blank, yet it could clearly see the beautiful face that had once filled the deepest space in his heart.
How does fate lead him back to the man while his feelings have faded?
Everything would have been easier for her to walk along that altar—if that love was still there. But it will also be more difficult to know that the man never reciprocates his feelings.
How will all this end? Should he lie to God and those around him with the oath he made? He would even lie to himself...
The man had once been her dream, but the moment it all turned around, his figure had turned into a nightmare.
God who wills to turn the hearts of men. Is this also God's will? Should the road be this bad?
“I take thee to be my wife, to possess one another and to keep from now until death do us part.”
Until death do them part...
How come? If basically there is never a—or it is lost in time.
The man unfolded his hood, leading him to a brief kiss that received a standing ovation from an invited guest.
When he was a child, his mother once invited him to stand at the altar after they finished praying. With a happy and loving face, her mother reminisced about the sacred marriage with her father. Show him how his mother and father made promises.
As the wheel of time turned, God granted his request to stand on that altar. But unfortunately, his fate was not as lucky as his mother. Without love. Without family, even without blessing. Can God forgive him after this?
“Starting this second, you guys have officially become a couple.”
They throw smiles at each other and hold hands at each other as if love does exist.
Then after all this.how?
How long will the pretense last?
