"I'm sorry..." Alex held Emilia's hand, which sat leaning on the head of the bed. "It's all because of my negligence."

Emilia smiled gently while shaking weakly. "I reneged on my promise, I told you I'd be more careful, but..." He did not continue his words when Alex kissed the back of his hand fondly.

"All right, forget it." Alex took a slow breath. "Do you want to eat or drink something?"

Emilia nodded back. "Can you come over here and hug me?"

Alex nodded. The man moved onto the bed and hugged Emilia. Wrapping that skinny body with his full and warm body.

"You know who saved me?" asked Emilia curiously. At least he should thank someone for saving his life.

Alex gulps. He was never taught to lie, but in reality no man ever lies. "Only an ordinary tourist, I've thanked him for representing you."

Emilia looked up. "Is it okay if I don't see him in person?"

"This hotel is so big, we don't know if the guy's still here or not." Alex smiled faintly as he peeked at Emilia's head. "It's okay, don't think about it."

Selena had just returned from the bathroom when Eros suddenly sat on the edge of the bed.

"Geez!" The woman held her chest in surprise. "How did you get in?!"

"You forgot who paid for all these facilities?" eros cuek. "Quick change your clothes," he said as he glanced at Selena who was still wearing a bathrobe. Seeing the woman seem to take a few steps back with a slightly blushing face, Eros could only sigh while standing up. "I'll wait outside."

"Where are we going?"

Eros turned his head before closing the door. "Waiting your sister-in-law's candidate."

"No way."

The man turned back and stepped closer to Selena with narrowed eyes. "Wouldn't you?"

Selena nodded steadily. "I'm so tired today, if you want to see him then go alone."

Eros scrunched his forehead. The man doesn't like to be rejected and he believes Selena knows that well. "You—"

"Why?" cut Selena fast. "You can't see them alone?" The woman laughed blandly. "Then go back to your room and rest." He almost went into the bathroom if Eros did not immediately stand in front of him with a sharp gaze. "Otherwise?"

"You're challenging me?" whispered Eros in his low tone. "You were never allowed to reject all my words. You know that, right?"

Selena boldly looked at the two eyes of the man. "I'm getting tired now" he said almost emotionlessly. "After some thought, I can't do any of this any further. You know what it's because?" The woman held back her words, "because you still love her so much."

"I'm not."

"Don't lie" Selena smiled bitterly. "If you still want to continue all this play then find another woman, okay?"

Eros quickly reversed position. The man was very fond of making Selena cornered as if she was a little rabbit and the man was a big lion ready to devour her at any time. But that's how Eros intimidates his target. Cornering him, threatening him until the man bowed to his orders.

"If you dare to leave, I will not hesitate to make your career destroyed—even your life if necessary."

"My life was ruined" Selena pressed down on the man's chest and laughed. "Everything you want to destroy?"

Eros felt his chest tight, for whatever reason, he himself did not understand. There was anger in both of Selena's eyes, but the rest was pain. Is this just sympathy?

"I take your residence as consent."

Selena's patience ran out, but she was too bored to cry. Her tears were too precious for a man like Eros. "Listen, your revenge is just jealousy for your own brother. You want to destroy their relationship? After that what? Take Emilia back from your sister's hands?" selena said fiery. "All you're doing right now is a way to destroy yourself, you know why? Because after all, in the end Emilia will always love Alex. Not you."

Selena gasps. He thought Eros would slap at him after saying those hurtful words. But the man just fell silent while still staring at him.

Then Eros suddenly whispered something that made Selena unable to dwell. "You want me to tell you a secret?" The woman swallowed. Unprepared to find out another truth that may be worse than the fact that Eros still loves his sister-in-law.

"Emilia and Alex have killed my son."

Selena's eyes are round. What...who just said that guy?

Selena did not understand why after the emotionally draining debate she still wanted to visit Emilia. While Eros is spending his cigarette outside, he finds Emilia alone in the room. It seems that the woman was not seriously injured as she was still able to walk to open the door.

"Am I interrupting?" This was the first time Selena had spoken directly to Emilia since she knew the woman.

Emilia looked surprised but she could still review the smile, despite looking so awkward. "No. Let's go in."

Now Selena understood why so many people admired Emilia. In addition to her level and social status, the woman has a good temperament. It must be because Emilia grew up in a good family.

The woman led him to two chairs not far from the bed. Offering a drink, Selena refused.

"Where's Alex?" Selena tried to melt the atmosphere even though she did not care about the existence of the man.

"Alex is taking a shower."

Selena nodded. "How are you doing?"

What Selena found later was the look on Emilia's face that looked confused. "You know I drowned earlier?"

Selena gnashing. "Of course, it was Eros who saved you." Noticing Emilia who was only speechless with a shocked expression she continued, "what...Alex didn't tell you?"

Emilia simply remained silent, while one of her hands squeezed the tip of her sleeping pajamas. A few days ago he lied to Alex and now Alex is lying to him. How Eros is a real threat. The two of them did not even want to be honest if it was something concerning Eros.

Selena shrugged, this conversation can't go on. "I think you need to rest" he said, standing up. "Sorry to interrupt your time."

"Selena," called Emilia later as Selena was already preparing to open the door. "Do you really love Eros?"

Selena turned. It was unexpected that the meek Emilia could say bluntly. "How far do you know me?"

"I read every letter you sent to Eros."

"Then? Why are you suddenly talking about this?" ask Selena doesn't understand.

"I'm..." Emilia seemed hesitant but continued, "i know who Eros is and how he feels."

Selena chuckles. "His feeling must be ruined, right?" He didn't mean to quip, but that's the truth. Emilia knows that Eros loves her very much but ultimately stays married to Alex. "I understand your concern." His relationship with Eros must have been too suspicious for everyone, including Emilia. Moreover, the woman knew that Eros had rejected her outright.

"I know my treatment of her might not be forgivable, but you also understand that I just want to be happy with the person I love?"

Emilia is lucky because she loves Alex who loves her as well, which is why they try to maintain their relationship. Pursuing what people call 'happiness'.

Selena took a breath and nodded. "You should be grateful" he said with a bland smile, "for never to feel how bitter unilateral love is."
