Ep. 13 Louisse Meet Julian

That afternoon Louisse was having his warm tea freshly brewed by Anne when one of the servants from her palace came and told her something.

"Sorry Princess, there's someone coming to see you." Said the maid.

"Who? I don't have an appointment with anyone this afternoon." Louisse wondered who had visited the palace of his daughter. Because since Prince Leonard went to the battlefield, one by one the nobles who had managed to approach go one by one. They thought that even though Louisse was the Queen of Media, Louisse would sooner or later be banished after Prince Leonard failed and died on the battlefield. But it's possible that someone tried to get closer again after the news of Prince Leonard's victory some time ago. That's what Louisse is thinking right now.

"The one who came was a knight sent by the First Prince to convey something to you His Majesty." Reveal the waiter.

"I heard you were a knight sent by my husband to deliver a message directly to me. What message is that?" Said Louisse while asking the purpose of the arrival of the knight.

"Right Your Majesty, my name is Julian de Aswan, I was sent by Prince Leonard to deliver a gift to you Princess." Julian.

"What Julian?! If this were true, this person would be Julian de Aswan, the second son of the nearly bankrupt noble of the family of Count Aswan. In the novel he is one of Leonard's confidants." Inner Louisse was half surprised, he had not expected to meet any of the important people in the original novel story in this way.

After that Louisse opened the letter from her husband with a slightly confused face while staring at the large tree of gifts from her husband.

"Good Princess." Anne's voice following Louisse's orders leads Julian to the garden gate, while the other servants return to work.

"How's my husband doing there?" Louisse asked Julian.

"Your Highness the First Prince is fine." Julian replied in an equally flat tone from the very beginning he spoke to Louisse.

"How was my husband's day there?" Ask Louisse again.

"Two weeks ago Prince Leonard managed to cripple the headquarters of the deputy commander of the enemy forces." Answer Julian.

"Everyone in the palace knows, I mean what he does when he's free? I want to hear how my husband spends time other than fighting." Louisse asked with a smile, hoping that Julian would melt down with his friendly attitude.

"Sorry Her Highness the Princess, the personal matter of the First Prince's life is not worth saying frivolously, as one of his knights I have to keep the confidentiality of the life of the Prince I serve." Julian was adamant about refusing to answer Louisse's question.

"What I'm saying right now I can't write in a letter because it's a secret! Be careful with Alex Born because he spies the Queen to watch the Prince's moves there." Julian immediately rolled his eyes hearing what Louisse had whispered to him.

"No way! The prince and I have known him from our childhood. How could he be the Queen's spy?" Julian didn't believe what he heard.

"Didn't you trust me because I'm one of the Queen's confidants? Wouldn't I be more trustworthy because I know this info from the Queen."

Julian was speechless, of course he could not immediately believe it because the Louisse he knew was one of the Queen's accomplices which meant an enemy of the First Prince he served.

"Believe it or not is up to you, I'm not forcing you to trust me. But you have to promise one thing! You have to say what you heard just now to the Prince, let him decide for himself to believe it or not." Julian was still speechless because he was still in shock, Alex was his little friend and they were both members of the mercenaries, but Louisse's statement was unbelievable for him.

"I cannot possibly say this in my letter, for all the letters I send to the Prince will be examined first by the Queen's men. So I'm grateful you came to me like this so I can say this important thing that I can't write in a letter."

"Only Prince Leonard has the right to decide the truth of my words, do you believe that the First Prince is not a fool?" Louisse said with a sweet smile but implied by the threat.

"Alright, I'll tell the Prince but whatever the decision of His Highness your Prince can't change." Julian said in the same tone.

"Then I will resign Your Majesty." Pamit Julian bowed respectfully to Louisse.
