The Wedding Mission

The Wedding Mission
24. Chat with Mother-in-Law.

Gwen woke up from her sleep at half-time in the morning. Unlike usual, Maxim was still sleeping on the bed. Understandably, because last night when he was about to rest, the father suddenly invited the man to play chess and only returned at half-five in the morning.

After bathing and changing clothes, Gwen decided to get out of the room first.

"Gwen, are you awake?" Calia who was busy watering plants in the backyard of the house immediately greeted the daughter-in-law who came to him.

Gwen just smiled. Whether the mother-in-law knows it or not, the girl can't get up early if Maxim doesn't wake up. This time, he could wake up on his own. Maybe because she felt bad, because she was in her husband's own family home.

"The flowers are beautiful, Ma," said Gwen when she found a view of the flowers in the outer courtyard. The girl approached Calia.

Calia smile. "You know, Mama actually doesn't like gardening or caring for flowers. All of this is the result of your father-in-law's hand" he said.

Hearing that, Gwen was surprised then chuckled. "I don't think, behind his burly body papa has a soft soul."

"That's why Mama loves him so much!" chirps Calia while chiming in Gwen's laughter.

Gwen nodded in agreement. He asked for permission to take over watering the plants. Calia was happy to allow it.

"Then, what about you, honey?" ask Calia later.

Gwen turned her eyes to Calia. "What do you mean Mama?" ask the girl.

"On the relationship between the two of you." Answer Calia.

Gwen kontan was silent. She doesn't know how to answer the question, because she's afraid the answer will hurt Calia, Maxim's mother.

Come to think of it, even though they have made up but have not changed any circumstances, including feelings for each other.

I don't know, for Gwen up to this moment she didn't understand her heart at all.

"I don't know Ma." Gwen finally answered Calia's question honestly.

Hearing the son-in-law's reply, Calia did not seem disappointed at all. He was probably not surprised to hear it, because they had indeed talked about this when he came to the house the other day.

"You don't mind, do you, Mama asking this again?" ask Calia.

Gwen shook her head. "Of course not Ma. After all, I seem to need a little flick in order to think. Cause sometimes I don't really feel like I'm living with Maxim."

Calia. However, Gwen hurriedly added her sentence.

"It's not because we don't get along Ma. Our relationship is fine. His treatment of me is also very good. That's why I finally came to the conclusion, that all this time I felt like I had a housemate."

Gwen frowned deeply. "I mean Mama? Sorry, I don't understand."

Calia cleared her throat for a moment. "Hmm, have you never had a romantic moment, a deliberate one or an accidental one?"

Getting such a question from the mother-in-law, Gwen's face turned crimson instantly.

How not, his memory was immediately fixed on their hot night which started from accident.

Knowing the change in the look and color of Gwen's cheeks, Calia could already guess the answer. The woman also smiled faintly.

"No need to answer, Mama already knows the answer."

Gwen could not hold back the hue of her face which was now turning red like a rotten tomato.

"Then, after that how? There's no shame, sometimes we girls need each other's support."

Gwen confirmed Calia's statement. However, he could not possibly reveal it all to the mother-in-law. Maybe it will be another story if the one who asked it was his friends.

"There is no Ma. Everything is going as usual. I even got away because I felt this wasn't right." That was the only answer Gwen could give.

Calia nodded her head. "Your mom doesn't know what's going on between you two. However, Mama's advice, instead of moving away, why not talk about each other?"

Gwen folded her lips. "We've talked about it before."

"Then?"

"We agreed to forget it." Gwen explained briefly.

Calia raised her eyebrows high. "That means you're talking about not far from blaming each other and then apologizing right?"

Gwen gasps. Where did my mother know about it?

"Why not talk about each other's feelings after the moment? Not guilt or anything like that. You must understand what Mama means, right?" calia.

Gwen remained silent. He digested a long sentence that Calia had just said.

Slowly, Gwen nodded her head.
