The Wedding Mission

The Wedding Mission
19. Gwen's Cry.

All the words and advice of Mr. Donald kept teasing Maxim's head like a cassette that was always replayed. Knowing how easy Mr. Donald and his wife are united of course because of Mr. Donald loves his wife. While her?

Until now Maxim could not find the right word about his feelings for Gwen. If marriage is not for love, it is true. He only obeyed the orders of his father and father-in-law who had been in a long friendship. Moreover, the father had a debt of gratitude also to Abrahan in the past.

In the early days of marriage, Maxim only thought this was all just a long-term mission that would either be completed. However, as time went on, Maxim's views on this marriage (especially on the figure of Gwen) increasingly changed.

I don't know what it's called, which obviously doesn't seem like love. Maxim only feels comfortable with Gwen's whereabouts, and is upset when she disappears. Anger also enveloped him, when he found out the girl was injured.

Maxim admitted, after getting to know Gwen, he also got to know various emotions in her. Understandably, in the past, men like himself abstained from involving any emotion for the sake of smooth mission.

Maxim sighed in frustration. It seemed like what he had heard from his father was indeed true. That is, that the success of the mission will have a greater chance when it does not involve emotions in it.

Shortly thereafter, Maxim finally arrives home. The man suddenly frowned, when he found the lights in the house in a state of light when it was already at half-twelfth night.

When Maxim stepped inside the house, the first thing he found was the figure of Gwen, who was sleeping on the floor with her head drooping on the table.

While around the table, there are several types of cuisine that is not the cuisine.

"What of the neighbors?" maxim gumam. However, as he approached the small table, it was seen that the foods had a rather eye-catching look.

"He cooked for me?" Maxim's surprised. A strange feeling arose in his mind. A feeling he did not recognize at all.

During this time Maxim can recognize feelings of comfort, anger, anxiety, and annoyance. But not with this one.

While Maxim was still struggling in his mind, Gwen suddenly woke up. The girl was surprised to find that the figure of the husband was now right in front of her.

"You cook?" ask Maxim.

Gwen rubbed her eyes and nodded her head. "So I went shopping using the money you gave me. I also got a short cooking class from Helen. So .. yes it is like this," he answered at length, with no sharp look or sharp words coming out of the girl's mouth.

"Wanna try?" gwen asked, as if nothing had happened between them.

Maxim was silent for a moment. At first glance his eyes looked doubtful at the appearance of these foods.

Gwen, reluctant to wait for a response from Maxim, just thrust the spoon into the man's hand. As a result, inevitably, Maxim also tasted the food that Gwen had made with difficulty.

In his heart he convinced himself that the food would be in vain if thrown away. Moreover, Gwen was shopping using her hard-earned money.

Maxim chews slowly the food and swallows it. While Gwen looks curious about Maxim's assessment.

"A little bittersweet because it's charred, but not bad."

"However, it would be better if I just kept cooking. Because, we can't possibly eat food like this every day." Whether he realized it or not, Maxim suddenly continued his slightly sharp words.

Gwen's face turned cloudy instantly. "I understand and realize my abilities. I didn't mean to take your job at all. We have never met in the same house. So, I decided to make this dish in order to see you," said Gwen honestly. Under the table, he stroked some of his fingers wrapped in plaster from cooking earlier.

Maxim gasp. He just made one more mistake. Maxim was about to set his words straight, but Gwen had already stood up and left the man.

In the room, Gwen sat on the floor crying sobbing. The girl tried not to let out her crying voice too loud.

Somehow seeing Maxim now so far away from him, making Gwen's chest tight. In fact, Gwen had always hoped that Maxim would not care about her.

...**********...

In the morning Maxim was shocked to find Gwen asleep on the floor of their room. The girl apparently cried all night until she was exhausted.

Maxim stared at Gwen's swollen, puffy face. He stroked the girl's hair and carried her to their bed.

Maxim's guilt grew even greater, when he accidentally saw Gwen's four fingers wrapped in plaster. The girl must have tried so hard to make him some food, and he kindly said so last night.

"Sorry." A word was said from Maxim's lips. "I enjoyed the food. It doesn't matter if you want to cook it again" the man continued. His eyes continued to look at Gwen for a while.

...**********...

Gwen stood in the doorway of the house, looking at a beautiful middle-aged woman who had just stepped down from a taxi.

Although modest in appearance, the aura emanated in the woman felt very classy and graceful. From the way he walked and spoke, it was seen that the woman was not from ordinary people.

The woman still maintained her smile, despite a strange look from Gwen. Understandably, Gwen must have been surprised after hearing her introduction just now.

"Gwen," call the woman again.

"Yes, um ... "

"Call Mama, as your husband calls me" said the beautiful woman.

Gwen grimaces. After nearly six weeks of marriage, she was finally able to meet one of Maxim's parents in person. Because, all this time they only communicate with each other through the phone.

Her in-laws did not come to the wedding, because they lived far away.
