Hearing Gwen's whisper, Maxim grieves. Nevertheless, he did not refuse the girl's embrace at all. The two of them remained silent for a while without speaking.
Only then did Maxim break away and say he was going to straighten things out.
"Don't!" sentak Gwen's. "Don't say anything. I know I'm the one who was guilty of the past. If only I hadn't been selfish thinking about myself, under the pretext of longing to live the life that used to be, maybe that night wouldn't have happened." Gwen could not hide her red face when she said that.
Shame is beginning to take hold of Gwen. However, they cannot continue to act like this. As a result, Gwen chose to give in by putting aside her embarrassment.
"Now, go ahead if you want to get angry or throw me out of the house. I won't argue and try to argue with you again." Gwen lowered her head.
Hearing all of Gwen, Maxim was shocked. He was the one who actually intended to talk about this first. However, Gwen took the first step.
"You hurt my pride as a man" Maxim said.
Gwen lifted her head and looked at Maxim with a frightened look. "Sorry, I'm not—"
"You hurt my pride, because I should have talked about this first."
The atmosphere was silent for a moment, before Maxim finally returned to his voice. "I'm the one who wanted to apologize first, for threatening to charge you with all the blame that night. Though it should be, as a man (what else is in his right mind), I could have avoided you."
Gwen blinked her eyes, as if she was trying to digest Maxim's entire speech.
"What do you mean?" ask the girl later.
Maxim returned Gwen's gaze as hers. "You don't remember what I said that night?" tanyakanya.
Gwen paused for a moment and shook her head. "It seems I did hear a few sentences, but ...." A laugh came from Gwen's mouth.
Maxim grunts. His hand then stretched out before Gwen.
The understanding Gwen immediately helped Maxim reattach her hand. "These "fake hands definitely require a lot of care. Teach me to help you" said the girl.
Maxim nodded his head. Simultaneously, a click back sounded.
Gwen opened the window of the car she was riding in to breathe fresh air deeply. He and Maxim just got to Keysersberg.
His eyes sparkled with delight, as he stared at the vast hamoatan vineyard. This small town is indeed one of the best winery areas in the Alsace region. Not only that, the city also has colorful half-timbered houses that line and line up to form a narrow village road. Interestingly, the medieval atmosphere with its beautiful wooden houses and vineyards is so pronounced.
In addition to the vineyard, Gwen's eyes are also spoiled with views of several special buildings, such as castles, medieval old churches, museums, city halls, to old wells made of stone.
"Happy?" ask Maxim briefly.
"Of course!" gwen answered enthusiastically. "I haven't been out of town in a long time" he continued. The girl repeatedly muttered words of praise at the beautiful scenery they passed by.
"You ever been here?" ask the man again.
Gwen shook her head. "Just pass by. I'd rather go to a bustling, modern city" said the girl honestly.
"Meaning, now don't like it?" ask Maxim again.
Gwen sneered. "You're out of topics? I'm sorry for those questions!" ketus.
Maxim laughed a little. Simultaneously, Aamauri, the family's private driver, informed him that they were almost there.
Gwen could only be agape as the car she was riding in now entered an old castle-like building, which was much larger than her magnificent home.
Gwen stared in amazement at a large fountain statue, located in the middle of the courtyard.
Aamauri stops her car right at the door and gets down from there to help Maxim and Gwen get out.
"Welcome to my house." Maxim smiled faintly.
Gwen hunchs. His face turned red instantly, as he remembered the insults that had always been thrown from his mouth at that time.
