The Useless 8th Prince

The Useless 8th Prince
I'm Forced to Do It

Ten days after Ciel got the letter.

The prince was sitting waiting for something while staring at the vast cloudless blue sky. The sun was shining so bright that it made him almost blind.

Ughhhh! The heat! Why should I keep preparing this and that on a hot day like this?

The sound of a horse racing was heard from a distance. Hearing that, Ciel felt somewhat excited. A horse carriage finally arrived in front of the main building of the castle.

“Sorry to keep you waiting, Milord.”

A few figures who got off the horse carriage immediately greeted Ciel.

“Same as no. I'm glad you came on time, Mr. Lawrence.”

“That's a must,” said Viscount Lawrence politely.

Meanwhile the few people who followed Viscount Lawrence looked amazed as they looked at Ciel. To them, the young man was like a living legend. Level 5 (medium) at 15 years old, a powerful sorcerer and a great leader. Now, the young man had even tamed a Wyvern.

“Is the item ready?” ask Ciel.

“Of course you have, my lord. Although the time is a bit too short, I think this is still appropriate.”

Hearing that, Ciel let out a long sigh. The young man looked at the person who was following Viscount Lawrence, the craftsmen who worked hard in a short period of time that was one week.

“You must be tired because of my urgent request. Sorry to have been a hassle,” said Ciel with a sincere smile.

“Not at all, my lord! Can make a saddle for your Wyvern is an honor for us!” said one of the craftsmen with a happy expression.

“Then can you bring that saddle to the cage?”

“As you wish, Mister!”

Although called a cage, the building they were heading to was a large building with white walls and large pillars supporting it. The building was even better than the home of a wealthy merchant.

Entering into ‘kandang’, they saw a very long hallway. On each right and left of the hallway there is a room with an area of 10 x 10 meters without a door. Just bordering the walls with each other.

On the right side there are 7 rooms and on the left side there are 6 rooms that are used for the residence of the owner of the castle and his confidants. There is also one room used to store some hygiene equipment as well as wooden boxes containing various types of food. Most of them contain meat.

On the left side, there was only one space filled. The creature inside was a Four Winged Snow Eagle. On the right side is also still filled one. Of course it was Deschia, Ciel's Darkfrost Wyvern.

Looking at the creature that was lying down casually made people feel amazed. Meanwhile, Ciel felt quite irritated.

Damn traitor! When your master is busy doing things, you really just eat and sleep. Basic not filial!

“Include, she is Deschia.” Ciel said as he approached Deschia with Viscount Lawrence and a few others.

“This Frost Wyvern? Why do I feel this is different from the one in the book, Mister?”

“It's mutated. Of course it's just the color. Just look at its shape and size, it is still the same as the usual Frost Wyvern.”

“But being able to subdue Frost Wyvern ... you are absolutely amazing, Mr.”

Deschia who sensed Ciel's aura around opened her eyes. The creature shook its head lightly before finally following Ciel's instructions to stand up as usual. Of course, stand on two legs and two wings as support.

“Give me that wooden box. Let me put it up myself. By the way ... you just need to tell me how to use it.”

Following the instructions, Ciel first took a fairly wide square layer, 1 x 1 meter and placed it on Deschia's back as a base. Then Ciel just put a saddle on it. But the design of the saddle itself is quite unique, in the form of a short chair with no legs in black.

Ciel felt the material used to make this saddle is excellent and comfortable to use. The young man also felt that the saddle could be said to be quite soft and tender.

Ciel then tied the rope (girth) to the base of Deschia's left and right wings so that the saddle was firmly attached and not shifted. He also put a rope on the lower abdomen and made the saddle really sturdy. Looks like a little throne on Wyvern's back. Lastly, Ciel attached the bridle to the base of Deschia's neck.

If in horses, the reins are usually used on the head to regulate the movement of the horse. But Deschia didn't really need that. The reason the harness was installed was of course so that Ciel could hold it to maintain balance and also give orders such as stop, up, down, and such if necessary.

Seeing that everything was well installed, Ciel nodded in satisfaction.

“Does anything make you feel uncomfortable, Deschia?”

Hearing Ciel's question, Deschia shook her head. Although he felt a bit strange, he felt that wearing something like this did not look bad at all.

“Good then!” ciel said before sighing in relief.

Ciel then immediately said goodbye to Deschia and told Wyvern to get used to it. He then invited Viscount Lawrence and the others to lunch together. Of course it was a fairly large and luxurious banquet. After that, Ciel sent them away.

Of course Ciel offered them to stay, but Vicount Lawrence said the middle-aged man was busy as well. Can't play games because there's still a lot to do.

Ciel gave thanks and gave a little ‘bekal’ for them to take home.

In the afternoon, Ciel tried to climb up Deschia to fly around the sky above Black Lily City. Sure enough, he felt a different sense of comfort while riding Deschia this time. The young man was completely satisfied with the prowess of Viscount Lawrence and his men.

After driving around, Ciel returned Deschia to his residence before taking off back the saddle and the others. He then returned to the main building of the castle. The young man took an afternoon shower. After changing clothes and feeling refreshed, she called Elena and Camellia.

“Is there anything we can help you with, Mister?” ask Camellia.

“...” Elena also looked at Ciel with a calm expression.

“Tomorrow I'll leave. Camellia, political affairs and territorial interests in your hands. As for Elena, military affairs, I leave it to you.”

“T-But Sir. Can't I come with?” tany Camellia with a sad expression.

“I'll go with Deschia. I need you to guard this territory for me. Also ...” Ciel looked at the two. “Start tomorrow, spread the leaflet. When I return, I will immediately proceed with the next plan.

“According to your order, Mister!”

After a few conversations, Camellia and Elena finally left. From behind his office window, Ciel looked at the afternoon sky with a helpless expression.

Not that I miss home. I really had to do it!
