“Please ... enough! Just end this.. ARGH!”
Screams of regret and sorrow occasionally sounded from the dark forest. It sounded so far away, but it still made the person who heard it goosebumps in fear.
On a dark night, the few people surrounding a campfire had different expressions. Theo looked rather curious, Jenny looked indifferent, while Charles, Rocky, and some of the rest of the knights were somewhat pale.
After quite a while, finally the voice stopped completely. Moments later, the sound of footsteps when stepping on the grass was heard. From the lush and dark forest, the robed figure with the silver mask covering his face walked calmly.
There were some dark patches on his black robe, there were even some red patches on his silver mask. Plus the cold aura around him, it made many people shiver when staring at his figure.
“How, Mr Gin?” asked King Charles with a serious expression.
“Not a good thing.” Ciel shook his head.
“Why???”
“That's because your brother, Andrew, has a deal with ... Curses of Shadow.”
Hearing the name of the organization mentioned, King Charles' eyes widened. Not only him, even many people were shocked. As for Jenny and Theo, they looked very serious. Both know how dangerous the organization is.
Not to mention ... both also know that Ciel has an opposite relationship with the organization. Two generals have died at Ciel's hands. An unprecedented loss to the Curses of Shadow Organization before. That made them calm for some time.
“Are you sure it was them, Mr Gin?” charles asked with a curious expression.
“No doubt.” Ciel nodded lightly.
“Can ... Can you give us proof?” ask Rocky.
He felt somewhat worried when together with that cloaked figure. Feeling less safe, even somewhat afraid it turned out that the cloaked figure was one of the people from the Curses of Shadow.
An object falls right in front of Rocky. It was a whole left arm. On the arm is a very clear tattoo. The Curses of Shadow.
Looking at that arm, Rocky's expression turned pale. He looked at Ciel with a nervous expression.
“Quiet.” Ciel said indifferently. “I won't hold a grudge just because I'm suspected. After all, it's normal to be afraid of an unknown person who could be life threatening at any time.”
Hearing that, Rocky and the knights looked slightly relieved. The middle-aged man could not help but raise his hand before asking in a polite tone.
“Then ... can't you show your face to us, Mr Gin?”
Ciel tilted his head while pointing at the silver mask covering his face.
“Are you sure? Maybe ... you won't be able to forget it.”
Hearing Ciel's words, Rocky and the knights unconsciously swallowed the saliva. Seems a little scared.
Could it be that his face is so bad? Damaged by torture? Could that be what made Mr Gin even more cruel and sadistic?
Knowing what people were thinking, Ciel looked indifferent. King Charles found it quite interesting. That person felt that Ciel's acting was amazing.
Jenny and Theo find it fun and entertaining. They were a bit unexpected that Ciel also had such a side. For both of them, it was great to see the other side of their master.
“No need, Mr. Gin.” Rocky's replying to Ciel.
“Really?”
“Certainly true, Mr. Gin.”
“Alright then.”
After a moment of contemplation, King Charles again asked Ciel.
“Then, do you have any suggestions, Mr Gin?”
Ciel looked at Charles. Somewhat surprised and feeling helpless. He even complained in his heart.
Isn't that your kingdom? Why should I think about it? Aren't you a king?
Try to be more independent!
Even so, Ciel also thought about it. He still had to think about it after hearing the information he had obtained earlier. Taking care of the people from the Silver Fang Kingdom alone was already troublesome, not to mention coupled with those from the Curses of Shadow.
Not to mention .. there are two Generals of the Curses of Shadows. Apparently, due to its considerable operation, they deployed two generals.
Another nobleman or subordinate of the Curses of Shadows, Ciel could hand him over to King Charles and a few others. However, Charles in his current condition will not be able to fight his brother, Andrew.
That means ... Ciel must fight two generals and a figure equal to the King.
”Is there one of the dukes in the Silver Fang Kingdom that you trust, King Charles?”
“Of course there is.” Charles nodded. “He is also my brother-in-law. The younger brother of my own wife.”
“Then we will go there. Not going straight to the capital. That place must be too messed up.” Ciel heaved a sigh of relief. “That place must have been very messed up. We need to find as many reinforcements as possible before going to the capital.”
“Don't say ..”
“Yes. We're going to war.” Ciel said with a cold expression.
“If there is a civil war. After the war was over and the internal matters were resolved, it was certain that the neighboring kingdoms tried to attack the Silver Fang Kingdom. Not to mention, there will be many victims.” Charles frowned.
“No other options.” Ciel shook his head lightly. “I can't help internal strife problems. As for the matter after the war, I will ask my master to lend a hand to help the Silver Fang Kingdom pass through the critical period.”
“Is there no way to avoid all this?” ask Charles.
“Does your sister change?” Ciel asked back.
“Sister Andrew is unlikely to change.” Charles shook his head with a bitter smile.
“Then ... no other way.” Ciel sighed. “I can only assure you, it is better than the Curses of Shadow who rule the Silver Fang Kingdom. Because most of them .. somewhat less sane.”
Given how Vonda started doing crazy experiments or Vesperr that started a massacre with no clear purpose, Ciel smiled bitterly. Maybe Aragil is a little sane, but that's the exception.
Ciel also believed, someone so ruthless as to poison his father, sell his younger sister, or even blow up his own younger brother like Andrew.
The level 4 (late) knights had not previously said who the two generals were. Ciel attempted to extort information, but was still a bit careless so that the person could commit suicide. One thing is for sure, that person is not Aragil.
Realizing that he thought a lot, Ciel let out a long sigh.
If the situation was too dangerous, Ciel no longer intended to hold back. He felt his recklessness when fighting Aragil was enough. After all, the young man wasn't sure whether his enemy would let go this time or not.
Ciel did not want to lose his life just because of something uncertain. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath before exhaling slowly.
Just do something with the situation.
