The Story of Clouds, Rain, and Sun

The Story of Clouds, Rain, and Sun
XLVII. "Truth"

DOR'S!

Surya just pulled the trigger. His hands were straight forward while the rest of the gunpowder was scattered around him. His facial expression looked focused and serious. While both his eyes were still staring at the distant target in front.

The handsome man was in a basement. A few meters in front of him, there were many target boards in the shape of human silhouettes. While itself flanked by a glass divider on the left right.

He was wearing a black shirt with old ash pants. On his face were transparent protective glasses and on his head was attached a headset. Surya seems to be in a shooting range.

Suddenly from behind him came the sound of footsteps of someone coming down the stairs. The longer the sound gets closer and louder. However, the handsome man still did not look back at all.

He knows exactly who is coming. There are only three people who know about this place and one of them is gone. Which means there's only one possibility.

“You're coming.”

“Yes. Raka said you're here ...”

Instantly Surya grinned hearing the name of his assistant called. Of course the traitor will tell of his whereabouts even though he does not know the exact address here. But what they do not know, is that is the purpose of Surya from the beginning.

“What have you come looking for me ... Gods?”

“It has been a long time since I have seen you,” said the Lord walked slowly towards Surya.

“It looks like there are many things we need to talk about ...”

Somehow the air around the two cousins was so different than usual. No more smiles and jokes that are always present when the two meet. All that remains is suspicion and question marks.

“What do we need to discuss?”

Surya smiled, but only on the surface. Then he put his gun on the table. Continued with the headset and its protective glasses. His gaze was now fully focused on his cousin.

The god returned Surya's smile then let out a long sigh. Before long, he seemed to take something from inside his suit pocket. An object so small that it can fit in a fist. Then put it on the table.

A microSD card.

“What is it, Dewa?” ask Surya. Look at his sharp eyes.

“I think you know exactly what it is,” replied the Lord briefly.

The two then fell silent for a moment. Assess each other and weigh what the reaction of the interlocutor. Both Surya and God were now both looking towards the memory card on the table. Objects that suddenly disappeared mysteriously from the car Surya five years ago.

Surya picked up the small card and then finally said, “So ... all this time it seems to be on you.”

“True.”

Varsha's lover then sat leaning on the table. Then fold both hands in front of the chest. He glanced sharply at his cousin.

“Actually what was your purpose in coming here looking for me, Dewa?”

The god took a moment. It was as if he himself was caught in a turbulent dilemma in his heart. He closed his eyes for a moment and then took a breath and threw it away slowly.

“I want to confess my deeds,” he said steadily.

“I was the mastermind behind your accident five years ago as well as the incident at Akasa Hotel.”

Surya laughed long and hard. However, his tone was so cold that it pierced the bones. One hand massaged his temple trying to digest the information he had just obtained.

“Really?” surya asked at last after being satisfied with a laugh.

“Ya, Solar. I'm the culprit.”

The handsome man then nodded his head. A small grunt while finishing the remnants of laughter. Then, he tried to catch his breath and refocus on his cousin.

“You have kept it well for five years now,” Surya said. “Why now even confess?”

“I know you are conducting a re-investigation and in-depth about the two cases,” Dewa explained.

“And sooner or later .. My guise will definitely be revealed.”

The god walked up to Surya and squeezed his shoulder slowly. As if he was challenging and comforting her at once.

“So I thought, I better give myself up now,”. “Before everything gets big and out of control.”

“Solve it without ruffling so that the name Akasa Group ... not dragged down.”

Solar clenched his hands hard. His fingernails until pierced into his palm, to make it imprint. Then with a flash, he threw his fist at the face of the God.

His cousin immediately slammed onto the floor. Fresh blood seemed to flow from the edge of his torn lips. He spat out the remaining red liquid that had accumulated in his mouth.

“You know what you did, Dewa?” ask Surya sharp.

“Because of the accident .. a teenage girl with a bright future must give up her dreams.”

“Because of the accident, he had to endure all the cruel blasphemies of those around him alone.”

Surya looked at his cousin who was still sitting on the floor. His eyes are shaking. While his voice was getting louder with emotion.

“Containing the baby without preparation ... without any help from the man who has impregnated her ..”

“Then give birth to the baby alone. Without a husband accompanying her, helping her, giving her birth and inner support ...”

Surya took a long breath. Both of his eyes were red and teary. Then he walked over and crouched down near the God who lowered his head.

“Because of the accident .. My son had to live without a father ...”

For a moment things became quiet. Only the sound of the breaths of Surya and the Gods occasionally sounded in a piercing silence.

“I’m sorry ..” Her cousin's soft voice sounded in her ears.

Surya snorted a little hearing that sentence. “What is your motive, Dewa?”

“Heir Akasa Group? Chairman Position?”

The gods did not respond to Surya's question. His head was still facing the floor. Finally, Surya stood up again and walked towards the table. He took the gun he had put there, and then thrust it at his cousin.

“I'm the only one blocking your way, right?” ask Surya. His one hand still offered the handle of the gun to the Gods.

“We're the only two who know the address of Earth's shooting range. The location was hidden and far from the settlement,” said the man again. “This place doesn't even have a surveillance camera.”

“So what else are you waiting for?”

“I'm sorry, Surya ..” whispered God.

“Quick get rid of me. Isn't that what you wanted to do five years ago?” challenge the man again.

One hand that was not holding a gun pulled the chin of God. Forcing his cousin to look straight at his face.

“This bullet and gun cannot be detected by origin. I've made sure of it myself. You only need to hide the weapon after killing me ..”

The eyes of the gods look teary. The sweat and blood from that punch still adorned his face. “Surya, enough. Me ...”

“Or maybe you can also throw it away with my body.”

“Surya, please stop ...”

The god closed his eyes and shook his head violently. It was as if the sentence his cousin had thrown was like a hot dagger slashing through his flesh.

“Do I need to show you where you should bury my body later?”

The god who could no longer bear to hear the sadistic words of his cousin, finally knelt before him. Both of his hands squeezed out Surya's arms. While his eyeballs were trembling and glazed, begging for forgiveness.

“Surya ... please forgive me ...”

“If you really want to apologize ...” said Surya lirih.

“WHY DO YOU KEEP LYING AND PROTECTING THE REAL PERPETRATOR?!”
