XVII. A Gift
A rival?
What was on his mind at the time. Is she in a romance novel or romance drama?
Surya took a long breath. Moreover, had he really been convinced by his feelings? Then what about the mysterious girl who has been an encouragement for his life. Without him, maybe Surya wouldn't have achieved his success now. Surya nodded his forehead slowly.
It can't go on like this. He should always be focused and level-headed. His responsibilities as CEO of Akasa Game and heir to Akasa Group are enormous. He needs to think about it carefully before deciding to start a serious relationship with someone.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Then his assistant, Raka, went inside to hand over the documents. Surya checked the file and then gave the signature and returned it again.

But he still could not concentrate. Surya unknowingly opened Teja's profile on Akasa Game's employee list and read it. As soon as he saw the writing on it, he realized something.
Tomorrow is Teja's birthday.

Surya glanced at the clock on his desk. The mall and shops will soon be open. The plan is that he will go there to buy Teja gifts. Even though he had doubts last night, afraid of breaking any restrictions. Come to think of it, it would not be wrong if he gave Teja a gift on her birthday.
Surya immediately moved from his chair to rush to the mall. Suddenly, the door of the room opened. A woman in a white dress accented with flowers walked into her office. So elegant and expensive looking.

Surya put on an awkward smile and apologized. She used to stay at her parents' house every weekend. But he was so busy the last few weeks, especially because he took care of the Akasa Game Festival.

On the contrary for the same reason, Surya so can not linger to spend time in that place. Surya and his mother lived in different houses.
“I heard Mama yesterday came to the Akasa Game Festival. Why didn't Mama see me?”

“Teja Ametarka.”
“Mama knows Teja?” Surya was surprised again.

“Thank you, Mom. Yes, Teja is an amazing kid.” Surya nodded in agreement.
“One coincidence. Would you like to accompany me to go buy a gift for Teja?”

Soon, the mother and daughter went to the mall together. They went around to several places but had yet to find a suitable gift. Surya had trouble selecting a gift for Teja.
It's the first time Surya has gone looking for a gift for someone as small as Teja. He doesn't know what kids his age like now. Suddenly Surya felt himself so old and out of date.
“Toy robot?” Ask Surya to his mother.
“I don't know..”.
Surya scrunched his forehead. It's easier to create games than it is to look for Teja gifts. Finally, he put the robot toy box back on the shelf.
“Surya, don't think complicated. Think of what Teja likes instead of what a child her age likes.” Say mother.
“What does Teja like? I just know he enjoys playing games and developing them.” Surya answered while trying to remember something else about Teja.
“That's him. You even have the answer.”
Suddenly his head was illuminated by a bright light bulb. Right enough. Why should he think so strangely. Surya smiled thankfully at his mother.
Surya and his mother went straight to the nearest computer store. After paying attention and checking each laptop offered, he finally chose a suitable one. An advanced black laptop and the latest output with elegant design and high specifications. It is perfect for gamers and game developers like Teja.
Surya smiled widely satisfied with the gift he chose. He also asked employees there to directly wrap the laptop with wrapping paper. Before long, Surya had already got his beautiful parcel.
“Thank you so much, Mom.”
“Anytime, Dear.”
After lunch together, Surya and his mother drive home. On the way, Mama Surya glanced at her son's hand. He could still see the carved white gold ring coiling on his ring finger. The ring that Surya has been wearing for several years.
“Seeing you are so considerate of a child, Mama wonders. When are you going to have children yourself?”
Surya coughed at the question from his mother. Mama Surya hardly ever discussed this matter with her. So he thought his mother didn't think too much about the topic. Usually what they discuss is about the work of Surya or Akasa Group.

Unknowingly, Surya reflex rubbed the engraving on his ring. A familiar sensation was instantly felt by his thumb. Four beautifully designed letters surround the white golden circle.
