The Story of Clouds, Rain, and Sun

The Story of Clouds, Rain, and Sun
I. When Rain Meets the Sun

Czechoslovakia!

Varsha unceasingly took various selfies on the beautiful cliff where he stood. But once he was about to take the next selfie, he instead became misfocused with someone standing far behind him. Varsha turned around and observed the person. A gent. Stature upright and tall. Judging from the distance Varsha stood, it seemed quite handsome. Well, maybe his suit also helped improve his good looks by a few percent.

The mysterious man suddenly walked a step closer to the edge of the cliff. Don't tell me that guy wants to...

...

...

“Sorry Brother, can you ask for help photoin?” Varsha almost shouted. His breath was wheezing after doing a sprint just now.

The man was silent for a moment and finally nodded while taking Varsha's phone. Then he stepped away from the cliff to get a good angle. Seeing that, Varsha quietly breathed a sigh of relief. The man finally got a good distance and prepared to take a photo. He stretched his hand up to form the number one…

Then it turns into two…

Varsha smiled broadly posing by making a small heart symbol with both of her hands in front of her chest.

Three.. cekrek!

THE JEDAR!!

Lightning rang loudly accompanied by rain that suddenly fell and gradually increasingly heavy. Varsha took her phone from the man and thanked him and ran away from the cliff looking for shelter.

Varsha suddenly remembered something and turned her body around. The man was still standing near the cliff and did not move, allowing the rain to drench all over his body. Varsha turned around and ran over to the man.

In the heavy rain Varsha shouted, “Come, find shelter!”

Then without much thought he grabbed the man's hand, leading him to follow him. Varsha had thought the man would fight but he didn't. The two of them ran hand in hand towards the caravan where Varsha was staying.

Varsha thrust a towel at the man and he picked it up. Fortunately, there were two towels provided by the caravan. Otherwise, Varsha would have to sacrifice one of her clothes to make a towel.

“Thank you.” His speech was softly responded with a nod from Varsha.

Varsha nodded then went back inside the caravan taking another folding chair and putting it near the man.

“Because we are clearly strangers to each other and the possibility ahead of it seems so too. Plus heavy rain that seems like it is still long will stop..” Varsha started the conversation.

“How.... if acquainted with a pseudonym?” Further doubt.

“I started yes. My name..hmmm... Rain.”.

“Hai, my name is Rain.” Varsha once again.

The man smiled faintly, “Because of the rain?” Ask later.

“Because of rain.” Varsha responded while nodding.

In Varsha's heart was relieved because it seemed like his idea worked. Plus the gentleman's smile was also quite sweet. If you can be honest, Varsha did not choose ‘Rain’ as her pseudonym because it was raining, but indeed 'Varsha' in Sanskrit means rain. Varsha suddenly recalled how her parents explained the origin of the name 'Varsha' to her.

“Your name?” Varsha asked quickly before she was filled again into her memories.

The man seemed to think for a moment before finally saying, “Sun.”

“Son? Boys?” Ask Varsha to make sure.

“Sun. Sun.” Answer the man.

“Because you hope soon there is sun?” Canda Varsha who was reciprocated with another thin smile from Sun.

“So, Sun, why did you visit Tebing Purwa?” Ask Varsha.

Sun appeared to be squeezing his towel slowly before finally answering, “Descension.”

“Rain by yourself?” Ask back.

“Actually I wanted to scream to release stress, but afraid you are shocked to continue to plunge into the abyss.”

Hearing Varsha's reply, Sun gave a long, small laugh. Even he put one hand to his mouth trying to hold back his laughter. Varsha also automatically laughs, his face shows two sweet dimples.

“Descape from?” Varsha asked again.

“Hmmm Sun fell silent. “I'm not sure of what..” Slowly connect.

Seeing Sun's facial expression reminded Varsha of the time she lost her parents. Sad, upset, angry, sick mixed into one and he could not reveal it so he could only shut up and disappear…

“Everything will be fine.”

Sun had often listened to those words spoken by those around him. I don't know why this time it sounds different. Sun wasn't sure if it was because of the look on the girl's face beside him or her choked tone as if she had experienced something similar to him. It was as if he had made it through that dark time and was earnest with each of his words. That everything will be fine. And Sun wanted to trust the girl.

“Whatever it is, Sun. Don't give up.” Continue Rain.

Sun wanted to trust the girl.

...

...

“You won't regret it.”

Sun really wanted to trust the girl.

...

...

“I promise.”

Sun trusted the girl. A girl named Rain. Sun smiled widely and nodded slowly.

Gruuukis…

Suddenly a voice came from his stomach. This afternoon Varsha had not eaten because he wanted to quickly get to the caravan. As soon as he got to the caravan he wanted to hurry to the cliff. As a result, the sound of his stomach.

“Sun, want to eat mi?” Tawar Varsha from inside the caravan.

“Bby.” Sun finally answered.

“What do you think, Sun? There is chicken curry, onion chicken, chicken soto.” Shout Varsha.

“What aja.” Answer Sun.

“Mix everything if so. Hehe. This layer.” Varsha said as she poured all three noodles into the pot.

Varsha stirred the noodles after putting in all the spices. Then he put two eggs inside. After his noodle appearance was convincing, he took a spoon and tasted the sauce.

Since Varsha has already put all the spices in, the water cannot be thrown away. He also opened the pantry cabinet hoping to find basic kitchen spices to help his cooking. And sure enough there seems to be salt in a small jar in the corner of the top cupboard.

Varsha grabbed the small jar and shuffled the contents that stayed a little. When seen with the naked eye it seems like salt. He then opened the lid of the jar and tilted it slightly to ascertain if it was true salt.

BRUK!!

Suddenly the caravan door opened. He showed a handsome creature before his eyes. Her hair was wet, at the ends there were still water droplets falling onto her white shirt. And his white shirt….

Varsha involuntarily swallowed. The white shirt looks transparent showing dimly the curves of the man in front of him who seems to like exercising. Varsha knew that this man was indeed handsome and well-built but because of the situation they were in added to the awkwardness, by standing this close he realized that this man was REALLY handsome and indeed REALLY good-bodied. Varsha felt her face flushed lower her head and coughed.

“Sorry Rain, can I borrow the bathroom?” Sun's permission from behind the caravan's door.

“Boleh-can. You just walk in that direction in the left corner.” Varsha answered still, looking down, trying to hide the red hue on her cheek.

“Thanks.”

Sun climbed on top of the caravan and bowed his body slightly as he passed through the bathroom door. Sun looks like a giant inside the caravan Varsha thought before looking back at his cooking and being surprised. All the salt in the jar had already gone into the pot and melted into one with the soup sauce.

Varsha stirred back her noodles and tasted them again. At least if the salinity can be added water right. But what Varsha feels is precisely not a salinity but a very good taste and very fitting. Perfect. Varsha covered her pancakes letting all of her spices soak in a little more.

Varsha brought her ‘mi three rasa’ to the front of the caravan and placed it on a folding table. Before long, Sun joined him with two bowls and two sets of spoon-forkers. Varsha opened the lid of the pot making a puff of steam between them.

“A long time ago I didn't eat mi.” Sun Saying.

Varsha put on a surprised expression then put one hand on her chest and commented “Young people are rich huh, Mas?”

Sun just smiled short and started putting noodles into his bowl. Varsha did the same. Only in front of the food did they realize they were hungry. In silence they devoured one pan of noodles without leaving anything behind. The rain stopped and the sky turned dark.

“Let me do the washing.” Sun said.

“It should have been.” Canda Varsha replied with a small laugh of Sun before he got into the caravan to wash the dishes.

It felt like Varsha could get very used to Sun's thin smile and little laugh. They're very addictive. Varsha looked at the night sky and admired it. Maybe because it was raining, there were not many stars that could be seen. Suddenly an idea came to Varsha's mind.

Sun came out of the caravan after finishing washing the dishes but did not see Rain.

“Sun!”

Suddenly Rain's voice came from above him.

“Sun! Right here! Above!”

Rain was seen sitting on a caravan on a tent pedestal. Then he pointed at the stairs at the side of the caravan hinting Sun to climb up. Arriving above him he was greeted with a wide smile Rain as well as various snacks beside him.

“Sit here, we see the stars,” said Rain.

After putting one marshmallow into his mouth Rain lay staring at the sky. I don't know what possessed Sun at the time, but he also stuffed a marshmallow into his mouth and followed Rain lying in the sky next to him. Sun laughed at himself inwardly, whereas he did not like sweet food very much but why today the marshmallow taste that this girl brought was so good. It feels warm even.

“Cita-citaku is to be a writer.” Said Rain suddenly.

Sun turned his head towards Rain and looked at the girl. Although he had only known her a few hours ago, Sun felt as if he had known her for many years.

“I am also so lucky to have earned a full scholarship to study in Australia to achieve my goals.” Further again.

Sun smiled towards Rain then clenched his hands and punched into the air, “Ench!” his yell.

Rain laughed at Sun's response and immediately imitated him, “Entertainment!” rain shouted louder.

Sun enjoyed Rain's crisp laughter. Especially if the two dimples on the left-right cheeks of the girl decide to appear, making it even sweeter.

“If you?” Rain asked, looking at Sun. The rest of the smile was still on his face.

Sun took a deep breath and looked up at the sky. His memory was lulled into the warmth of a family he longed for. If there was one thing he wanted, that he really wanted…

“Become a Father.”

“Kudo wish you a great father.” Varsha.

“Ku hope so.” Said Sun slowly, more like a mutter.

They continued to chat until the night got late. Suddenly it rained again and quickly became heavy. Varsha and Sun immediately packed up the leftovers and wrapped them into a tent pad.

Sun descends first from the caravan while Varsha passes him a light meal from above. Lastly, Sun raised both his hands and helped Varsha down from the roof of the caravan. When Varsha came down the stairs, her legs slipped but Sun was already under her arrest. Varsha ended up in Sun's arms.

Varsha and Sun stared at each other in the rain. Cold water flowed all over their bodies but somehow Varsha actually felt his body temperature heating up. Varsha felt Sun's gaze on her getting more intense. Sun was still supporting his body as Varsha's legs still hadn't touched the floor. Varsha's heart pounded hard and his mind blurred.

It is unclear who started first, suddenly Varsha and Sun's lips have touched each other. The sweet aroma of marshmallow was still felt in the mouths of the two. They made out in the rain for a while until Sun, who was still holding Varsha, led her inside and shut the caravan door.

Rrtr…

Rrrr…

Sun woke up and sat on the edge of the bed. He gently massaged his forehead feeling a great headache. Sun had never felt this sensation for a long time. Even though a few years ago he could be said to be very familiar. But since Earth…

Sun tried not to get lost in his thoughts. While frowning and defeating his sense of influence, Sun searched for the source of the sound that woke him up. Groping in the dark, he finally managed to find his pants lying on the floor. He checked his pants pocket and pulled out his phone. Name ‘Dewa’ plastered on screen.

“Halo.”

Shortly after receiving the call, Sun fell silent. His face cannot be read.

“I'll be there soon.” Sun replied briefly before hanging up.

Sun rushed into his clothes and darted out the door. But suddenly his legs felt restrained, he turned his gaze towards the silhouette of a woman on the bed. Then Sun fumbled at the table looking for something.

After a while he found a pamphlet then tore through the empty fringe. Sun's hand went into the pocket in his suit and took out a pen. Sun wrote something down on the piece of paper and left the pen he was wearing on it.

Sun's eyes were again fixed on Rain's silhouette. Finally he walked towards the sleeping woman and sat on the bedside. Sun shifted a strand of hair that fell in front of Rain's face to his ears. After looking at her for a while, Sun brought her face closer to Rain's face, gently dipped her forehead, and whispered softly in her ear. Sun left Rain.
