Chapter 52. Marrying

The result of a struggle and loyalty leads us to a dream happiness together.

After recovering from illness, we exchanged thoughts and planned the right time to get married.

As usual if Thomi comes home for sure Saturday afternoon or there is a red date, we stay apart and can meet only on weekends.

That night, after dinner we sat on the front porch and he asked me to talk seriously.

"Darling, I want to talk to you seriously."Thomi told me.

"What the hell Thom, every day we talk seriously."I answered with a small laugh, feeling funny.

"The atmosphere was silent, only the sound of passing cars occasionally, and the sound of crickets."

"Dear, I'm serious about talking."Thomi said while facing my face in front of her.

"Let's talk, I hear you." I answered while looking at Thomi.

"Ok, can we start?"ask Thomi.

"Bad I'm serious."Thomi said to me, in a slow tone it made me calm and seriously wait for what she would say to me.

"Yes Thom."Answer's short.

"Darling after I thought about it, I decided to get married next month, how do you think?"Thomi said, then asked about my opinion.

"Thom, if it's your decision, I'd be happy to hear it."I answered Thomi.

"Dear, about the cost I've saved up, even if it's just a little, but I think that's enough." Thomi told me.

"Yes Thom, I also have a stash, not much but good."I said to Thomi.

"Darling, we got a simple wedding, yeah, no reception, nothing?"ask Thomi with doubt.

"It's okay, the important thing is that we are legal to be husband and wife, that's enough for me."My answer.

"But Thom, do your parents want to accept me as their daughter-in-law, I don't have a job?"ask Thomi.

"Darling, anyway everything's sorted out about my parents, they don't bother about it."Thomi answered while holding my hand.

After we finished telling the story, we left the terrace and headed to the room to rest, because tomorrow morning Thomi will return to the city to enter the office.

The expected month had arrived, I began to prepare some supplies for me, such as dresses, makeup, and hair ornaments, as well as Thomi.

This morning I called Thomi and told her I was going to town to do some shopping.

📞 "Hello Darling, how?"ask Thomi after answering the phone from me.

📞"Thom, I'm on my way to town." I answered Thomi.

📞"Ngapain Darling?"ask Thomi.

📞"Shop supplies for me Thom."My answer.

📞"Yes, bye..."I answered and ended the phone.

Two hours had traveled to the city, and I finally arrived at the city terminal, with the spirit I remembered what would be purchased, so as not to be forgotten.

Before I got off the angkot, I sent a message to tell Thomi that I had arrived.

My first goal was to buy a dress, after I looked around and found a dress that was suitable for me.

"Please go in. Ma'am, take a look at our store."A shopkeeper told me.

"Yes, Mother."I answered with a smile, then my eyes looked at the neatly arranged dresses.

"Yes, ma'am, it's a wedding."My answer.

"This is Ma'am, there's one pink dress, please try" said the shopkeeper while handing me one pink dress.

"Maybe, I try." I said to the shopkeeper.

"Please Mommy."Answer the shopkeeper.

"Wow, beautiful is also a dress, buy ah, rather than later bought by someone else."I said in my heart while looking at the dress in the mirror.

"Where do you fit in, right?"ask the shopkeeper.

"It fits, I like it."My answer.

"How much does it cost Buk."I asked the shopkeeper's mother.

"It cost three hundred thousand rupiahs, Ma'am."Answer the mother to me.

"It's already wrapped up Buk."I said to the shopkeeper.

"This is Buk's money."I said to the shopkeeper's mother while handing over three pieces of money worth one hundred thousand rupiah each.

"Thank you for shopping at our store."The shopkeeper's mother told me after handing me the plastic bag containing the dress, then I left the store.

The dress was over, as well as some other supplies, I was exhausted and I decided to rest in the armature, sending a message to Thomi.

⁇ ️ "Thom, I've finished shopping, and the angkot will return to the village, you don't have to come here again, because angkot already want to leave."I said in the message sent.

⁇ ️" Yes, you're careful on the road, oh yes baby you buy anything ?"ask Thomi in a message.

On the way to the village, I was exhausted to sleep in the angkot, sometimes my head hit the glass and made me realize.

Two hours drive from town to village, finally arrived at home.

Today on December 23, 2018 we decided to tie the sacred promise with a ring as a mark on our respective fingers.

Thomi and her family tina at my house, and picked me up to go to church, where we were getting married.

️"Darling you're done with makeup, right, my parents and I are almost at your house."Thomi said in the message.

"So come on quick, they'll be there." I said in a panicked voice to Ida to speed up my hair.

"Don't dong Ida, it's my special day."I said to Ida.

"Yes, you're beautiful now, congratulations Brother." Ida said while hugging me.

I got out of the room and met Thomi and her parents and we went to church.

We didn't have enough money to rent a car, so we used the motorbike to go to church.

"I'm sorry we took the bike to church."Thomi told me.

"It's okay Thom, the important thing is everything is smooth, the road is slow yes, fear of my eyelashes coming off."I said to Thomi in a soft voice.

"Yes dear."Answer Thomi briefly.

The parents of our family arrived at the church and were waiting for us. After the blessing procession and the holster ring were completed, the Reverend said: the groom is welcome to kiss the bride, as they are legally married.

Shaking hands Thomi whispered to me.

"I'll kiss your forehead."Thomi said in a whisper.

I smiled as I passed the moment.

"Finally legitimate, and done too."I said in my heart.

When we finished, we shook hands with the family, and also the pastor, then we continued on our way home.
