The Revenge of the President

The Revenge of the President
Chapter 6 The Verdict

In the hospital,

Arshila lay with an intravenous needle stuck in her veins and one of her hands was still cuffed in the patient's bed.

None, the family that accompanied him, only a female officer in police uniform, was sitting playing her cell phone.

"Mother."

"Yes, you need anything?"

Arshila shook her head, she shed her tears again.

"How's my baby?"

"He's fine. The doctor said the mother was too stressed and lacking in nutrients. Mother will be treated a few days until the day of the trial" he replied.

"Thank you."

"It's okay, ma'am. This is our job."

"Sir," called Arshila, looking hesitant to ask. "how can you tell me who Miss Clarissa is?"

"Mom doesn't know her?"

Arshila. How could he know someone he had never met.

"She is the only daughter of Bagas Santara owner of Antara Group and the future wife of the owner of PT. The Deval Power."

Deval power's? Isn't that Mas Dimas' workplace. So, he did this to me to save himself.

"That's why those two families, sue mom. Although in my opinion, the mother accidentally did it seeing the condition of the mother now."

Not intentionally, but I never did. Although, I'm honest none of you will believe me. Mas Dimas and Mom, I'll remember this.

One week later,

Wearing plain white clothes. Arshila sat with her head bowed, One of her hands, stroking her increasingly protruding stomach.

Supposedly, the age of her current pregnancy, she is preparing for the delivery period. Preparing baby equipment, like other pregnant women. At times like this too, she needs her husband to always be by her side.

But, he was stuck in a place that would lock him up for a long time.

Arshila lowered her head even more, as the trial began. From the back seat, there were a few people shouting at him. There were also those who only whispered to each other, but with condescending gazes.

One of the women with a loud voice scolded and insulted him.

"Basic killer! Women are shameless."

Yes, Allah. Please, strengthen me, strengthen my heart.

Arshila squeezed her hand, with tears falling on her palm. It hurts, like a knife, but it doesn't bleed. His chest rumbled, feeling tight from harboring sadness and fury mixed together.

This trial was attended by Clarissa's parents, while the family of Alehandra, represented only three lawyers. The two families join forces, demanding Arshila be punished severely.

Among the arborists, Dimas was present with his mother as a witness. With guilt, he continued to stare at his wife's face from a distance.

Ii'm sorry. I promise I'll make it up to you, if you're free.

Meanwhile, Dimas' mother smiled in satisfaction, staring at Arshila lamenting his fate.

Good, after this, I'll get Dimas to divorce you.

The trial begins, the public prosecutor listens to the testimony of Dimas and his mother. Not much different than what they told me before.

Arshila was mute with tears that kept dripping down. He closed his eyes as Dimas and his mother testified blame and apologized for him.

A deed he never did at all, but he just kept silent, letting, what should have happened. Wh-wh-what for? For no one will believe and defend him. The lawyer beside him was impressed not to defend at all.

"After hearing the testimony of the witness and the confession of the perpetrator. So, the court ruled that Sister Arshila Syarenna had accidentally harmed Sister Clarissa. Will receive a prison sentence of one year."

Geck..Tok, tap the hammer is heard.

Arshila closed her eyes, her tears flowing. The punishment was too light, the word came out from the mouth of a woman sitting behind.

Whatever happens to us later, please stay with me.

Clarissa's family did not accept the judge's decision. Punishment not worth the death of their daughter. It was even too light, for someone to take lives.

Clarissa's mother, who was not accepting, ran over to the woman. Pulling her hair until she slaps it. While Arshila, just resigned, by protecting her stomach, let Clarissa's mother express disappointment at the judge's verdict.

"Killer. The murderer!"

"Ma, I've." Bagas divorced his wife.

Clarissa's mother still didn't take her hand off Arshila's hair. Even though that woman, grimaced in pain. Until finally, the female officer came to help divorce Clarissa's mother.

"I will wait for you to be free and avenge my daughter's death. Remember that!" before leaving the courtroom.

Arshila was just crying, holding her hot cheek. His head felt sore, because his hair was falling. He let the female officer sweep him away. From a distance, Dimas just stared without doing anything.

"Come, go home."

Dimas' mother pulls out his son's hand, preventing him from taking any action that would cause their plans to crumble.

"Mother."

"Dimas, don't mess with you. We've come this far, can no longer step back."

Dimas followed his mother's steps, looking back at his wife sitting on the floor.

Sorry, i. I'm really sorry.

...****************...

Separately, Dave sat in a workroom in his private residence. The room filled with bookshelves and looks neat, now looks different. A piece of glass was strewn across the floor, as were some scattered papers and books.

"Just one year?"

"Yes, sir."

Tian replied calmly, even though Dave's current face was very frightening. The angry man in front of him, really terrible.

"My wife was killed with my baby, but she was only sentenced to one year?"

PREJUDGEMENT

A vase of flowers landed on the wall.

"Fuckin' lady!"

Dave's breathing went up and down, even his face was now flushed red. Meanwhile, Tian was still acting calm.

"Did Clarissa and my baby's life not really matter? What does the lawyer do?"

Dave stared intently at his secretary.

"They've tried everything possible. But, the judge ruled the accident was unintentional because the suspect was having contractions."

"Not intentionally? Fucking woman!"

Tian took a step back, as Dave struck the air, venting his now-peaked rage.

"How old is she now?"

"Enter eight months, sir."

"Eight months." Dave seemed to think. "Then let her enjoy her days before she becomes a mother. After that, do what he has to feel."

"I understand, Sir."

"One more. Raise her husband's office, I want the two couples, not to see each other. Like she took Clarissa from me, then make her lose her husband's love."

"Okay, sir," he said, then stepped out.

"Patience, I will slowly repay you."

Dave stared at Clarissa's picture on the table. Then, switch to a map containing information about Arshila. He took a picture, staring hard.

"I'll make you live like hell. Enjoy your life, which is a month away. After that, don't expect you'll see the sunrise."

Dave squeezes a picture of Arshila, throws it on the floor.

"Pak Yus" he shouted in a thunderous voice.

"Yes, Sir."

"Clean."

Dave got up, took a photo paper on the floor.

"Burn, this."

"Good, Sir."
