Motor 2 tak Pak Manto roared through the road uphill to the south of Lik Diran's house. The cement road along approximately 4 kilometers we have passed. The streets turned into clay streets with incredible slopes. Several times the rear tyre of Pak Manto's motorcycle slipped, so I had to go down and push it. The clothes of everyone in the entourage were already filled with mud, clay, dust and fine gravel. I don't know if my clothes can be washed or not.
Finally the group stopped on the field at the foot of the hill. The sunlight shone with a shimmer this time. It feels warm and refreshing. I got off the bike, watching around. Lots of gurgles, weeds and shrubs that look lush.
"From here on, up there the land belongs to Mbah Kung all Dan," Lik Diran pointed to the top of the hill in front of me.
"Wide yes Lik," I'm amazed mangosteen.
"Well that's it. Later we will pass the durian tree belonging to Mbah Kung. Unfortunately this is no longer a fruitful season" Lik Diran explained.
"Monggo mas, sir. We road. The road is quite slippery, it rains because" Mr. Manto invited Me and Lik Diran to continue the journey.
The journey must continue on foot. This time the group had to go through the path in the middle of durian plantations, mangosteen and other fruits. Sunlight cannot penetrate the plantation area. Because the trees here are so big. One of the durian trees looks to have the size of a jumbo, maybe the age of this tree is older than me.
"Lik, Iha Mbah Kung if you come here on foot, huh? Alone so, at night?," I asked as I stepped following the workers of Lik Diran who were walking in front of me.
"Yes," Lik Diran replied briefly.
"Lha's usually the place where?," I started to feel engap and ngos ngos an.
"Yes, it's about a kilo meter from here" Lik Diran's voice sounded. Just like me, it looks like Lik Diran is starting to feel tired and sick.
I gaped at Lik Diran's answer. Mbah Kung Kadir with old age, walking from home to the top of the hill with a distance that if in total more than 5 kilo meters with difficult road conditions like this. How could he walk at night? It's beyond my understanding and logic. It's been repeatedly Grandpa one that amazes me astonishment.
"Look Dan, ojo bengong wae," Lik Diran called out to me, looking at me who was dumbstruck. I realized and soon followed, people were already quite far up there.
The road is getting uphill. It even feels like climbing a tree. When stepping, the knees rub against the chest. The slope may be above forty-five degrees. Lik Diran seems to have trouble breathing.
"Hey hey, Mr. father . . . rest first yes . .huh," Lik Diran stopped and sat on the big rock under the rambutan tree. Finally the group stopped for a moment.
The sound of the birds rang out and echoed in the distance. What a beautiful voice. If all living things were left in their habitat including the birds not confined in cages, perhaps the beauty and ingenuity of the chirping we can enjoy naturally as I feel today.
I picked up a bottle of water in my little sling bag. Sipped it, and it turned out to taste sweet. Sweet typical palm sugar. It must have been Ibuk who filled my drinking water bottle with palm sugar. Indeed, in this area palm sugar is famous for its efficacy as an energy enhancer.
"Father father, we continue again" Lik Diran gave instructions.
The entourage regularly walked slowly following the orders of its master. Get caught up in my mind, how are we going to get down? With steep and slippery road conditions like this.
After a while, finally the troupe reached the top of the manic hill. It turns out that the top of the hill is a large field with short wild grass. There are 4 large black stones in each corner of the hill. And right in the middle of this field there is a hut made of teak wood with a thatched roof with a cot that is also made of teak wood carved beautifully. Next to it was a large tree, a cantilevered flower tree. The group approached the hut. Mbah Kung Kadir's clothes are lying there. Down line motive shirt. A tray containing flowers that have dried up is also seen near the clothes Mbah Kung Kadir.
"This is Mbah Kung's place of meditation, isn't it Lik?" I asked Lik Diran.
"Yes," Lik Diran cackled, looking for the figure of Mbah Kung Kadir.
"Change Kuungg," Lik Diran formed a funnel with both hands. And put it in front of his mouth, then shouted to Mbah Kung Kadir.
"Mbah Kungg . .," the Lik Diran workers compactly follow what their employers do. They split up while continuing to call Mbah Kung. While I was a little worried, if something bad happened to Mbah Kung. Falling for example, it could have happened given the location like this.
I moved, trying to come find Mbah Kung Kadir. But how shocked I was, in front of me was the girl I had longed for. I half couldn't believe what I saw. I pinched my thigh and it hurt. This isn't a dream.
Erni is seen standing next to a large rock in one corner of this hill. He looks moody, looking at me. That face, the face I missed. Erni was seen waving at me. Without thinking I ran closer to him. There was actually a little doubt in my heart, but I brushed it off. It is clear and real that he is Erni. She was wearing the same clothes the last time I met her under the stairs of the campus parking lot.
Erni was seen stepping away, she was seen walking the road I was going through earlier. Could he take me down to go home? Half-run I followed him.
"R . . . Erni. . .," I tried to call her, Erni was only a few meters away in front of me. But he did not answer, nor did he look.
Erni looks deft down the path that is quite slippery. While I, several times tripped and almost fell.
"Well, are you here, Er? Hey, are you mad at me? Hey, wait for me . .," I once again tried to call him. But he didn't budge, even my distance from him seemed to be getting farther.
I finally stopped my steps. I began to realize, that the one in front of me was not Erni. How could someone who had just woken up from a coma arrive at a hill like this? My hair stands. I half-toed turned around to go back to where the group on the hill had been.
"And . . ," a voice called out to me. The exact same voice as Erni's. I had to look. The figure was seen sculpting a few meters in front of me with a position behind me.
"If you want to know the truth, come with me Dan" the figure spoke without looking at me. Then he looks back on walking.
I thought for a moment and finally decided on a stupid thing that might just be the right course of action. I followed that figure.
