The House in the Middle of Sawah
Stay at Lik Diran's house

I, Father, Mother and sister arrived at Lik Diran's house. Although it was not too late, the door of Lik Diran's house looked tightly shut. When I heard the sound of the motor coming, Lik Diran opened the door and looked out. I wonder who the guests are at night like this.

"Lho. . .Kang, how is the group here all?", Lik Diran looks confused to see our arrival. None of us answered Lik Diran's question. Both I, Father and Mother still set the breath.

"Lik, why don't the lights go out?", I asked seeing the lights of Lik Diran's house lit up with his nge jreng.

"Huh? Dead lights? No doubt", Lik Diran pointed at the lights on the porch of the house, brightly lit.

I exchanged looks with Father. So what happened in the house was a local earthquake and the local lights went out. Local only in the house means.

"Bah Kung is there?", Father asked Lik Diran after a while.

"Mbah Kung after Maghrib had gone to the hill beads. Just saying that tomorrow morning we just go home", Lik Diran explained.

"Udah sepuh you know Ran, kok mbok let it be. Mbok yes asked at home you know", Mr grumbled at Lik Diran, look worried.

"Lha how do you Kang, kayak do not know your father wae. Can't be told, there's even snapped me", Lik Diran defended himself.

"Oh yeah, let's all go in. Not just outside. The air was cold", Lik Diran realized his guest was still standing at the door.

"Sir, how is it? Medicine e sister left at home", Ibuk suddenly just half screamed, realized the medicine from the doctor for sister forgot not brought.

"Tomorrow Buk is taken. Now we go in first yuk, pity sister outside cold", Father calms Ibuk.

Finally we entered Lik Diran's house, sheltering from the cold of the air tonight.

"Ran, Ma'am yu mu let me sleep in my bedroom mbiyen (childhood room first) yes, for a while", I said to Lik Diran, a little pleading.

"Yes Kang, monggo wong is empty. There are 2 rooms in this house that are empty without cake", Lik Diran agreed. Ibuk then immediately walked to the room in question still holding a sister.

"What the hell is it?", Lik Diran asked the Father after Ibuk entered the room. While I was sitting on a long wooden chair not too far from the two brothers who were chatting.

"My house is strange Ran, it was suddenly a kayak closet in the impact of something, keep a lot of stuff falling scattered. There was a sound on the tile like in the gravel throw, the last lights suddenly went out", Mr. explained Lik Diran listened seriously.

"Makanya tonight let us nginep here yes", you beg Lik Diran.

"Yes Kang. That nek kayak, maybe Mbah Kung has a solution. May Mbah Kung return tomorrow", Lik Diran let us stay tonight.

"Sir, I didn't see what was in the window?", I asked, interrupting the conversation of Mr and Lik Diran. From the father's story, it does not mention the woman who put her hands and face on the window glass.

"What's going on in Dan's window?", you asked me, Lik Diran also looked curious.

"No, there is no sir. I saw this guy in the house. Means just look wrong", I reasoned.

"Lha wong is so dark. It didn't look anything", I said seriously.

"Eh Lik, what does Mbah Kung do to the beaded hill at night?", I asked, diverting the conversation.

"Ah, you always want to know. Mbah Kung mu is often alone to the hill beads. Sort of as mediocre as possible", Lik Diran explained, I'm a mangosteen.

"Sorry, Mr. Lik, this afternoon yo, your hands don't matter until red. I was shocked, you were so brave that you asked and fought Mbah Kung. Your father and Pak likmu did not dare you like it to Mbah Kung", Lik Diran smiled shyly.

"Yes, I don't think pa pa pa. Soale I've been pissed off by the parents. Why do older people always think of me as a child? Every time I ask all the answers are the same. This is the business of parents do not need to follow. Shouldn't the decision-making family be together. Even immature children should be told what parents have planned or decided", I again feel annoyed considering the events yesterday. You just shut up.

"Kang, your son is talking puinter. Pantes if you become a broadcaster yo ", Lik Diran chuckles. Sounds like a mockery to me.

"Ran, did my family just move house yo?", Father suddenly asked, I and Lik Diran were quite surprised by the question.

"A little while Kang. Don't think macem just yet. Ask Mbah Kung tomorrow. I can't give any advice, about me yes don't understand", Lik Diran tried to remind you not to rush to make a decision. I just kept quiet, on the one hand I agreed with what Lik Diran said but on the other hand for myself the house was no longer worth human habitation.

"Now it's better, we rest Kang. Opo won't make you drink? Ginger angel? Coffee?", Lik Diran offered me and my father a drink.

"No need Lik", I refused because it is not too fond of sweet drinks at night. Actually I'm a little hungry, because I haven't had time to eat tonight. Ah, remembering the meatballs from the Father I left in the kitchen of the house.

"Ran, uh yes you're looking for another couple. Marriage again. Let the family take care, someone can nyuhin drink for guests. Ngurus Mbah Kung too", Mr. suddenly threw a sentence that I think is sensitive to discuss.

Lik Diran is a widower. Lik Diran was once married, and his wife had died in her early pregnancy. I don't really remember, because I was a kid.

"Come Kang. It was difficult to find a partner who could fit the criteria of Mbah Kung", Lik Diran replied, downright.

"Well? Is it true that to be his ghost Mbah Kung Kadir must meet the criteria first to? What is the criterion Lik?", I again cut off the conversation, curious.

"Here, ribet tree e Dan. I don't really understand that. Just ask tomorrow to your Mbah Kung", Lik Diran moved, moved to sit in front of the tv.

"So, Ibuk used to pass the dong criteria", I'm still curious.

"Not a strange criterion. It is not clear, Mbah Kung mu is a person who holds fast to the benchmark of the past. So if you want to find a partner, there are the days ", Mr. explained.

"Already, you sleep there. There is still one empty room. You're not on the couch here", you're laying on the couch.

Tonight, my family and I are staying at Lik Diran's house. The big house. Rich farmhouse, the most successful farmer in Karang village. There was the sound of a bird kneeling in the distance, accompanying me to spend the night, turning back on the couch because the eyes were hard to shut.
