"Hey Alesse! You're not tired of coming here?" ask Irawan. "How else do you want? There's nothing here" Alesse said.
"Don't blame the library! If you want to learn more, go to the field! Find what can be learned. Uncle had read about the seminars that were always held by several universities in the city. They will also conduct a survey around here to find a new type of praying mantis" said Irawan.
"Hmm? Praying grasshoppers? I've read the article. They suspected it was mutated because there was an Abyss crack in the Black Hall hill," Alesse said.
"Aren't you curious? What if you take part in the survey? Uncle had never seen the Abyss crack before. They said it was dangerous" Irawan said.
"The Black Hall Hill has definitely entered the alert zone! It's hard to get in there" Alesse said.
"I heard that the people around are still carrying out their usual activities, there has been no evacuation order! This is your chance to learn something directly," said Irawan.
"All right! If it starts, I'll follow them! This uncle is so smart!" Alesse. He picked up some books and handed them to Irawan.
"What the fuck?" ask Irawan astonishment. "I want to borrow all that. I have to prepare a few things about this survey. I haven't learned anything about the Abyss crack either. I heard it only appeared in the year of my birth. Means there is still no definite research results," said Alesse.
"Yeah, uncle hope you can also research that. The Abyss crack is more interesting if you take the picture anyway," said Irawan.
"Alright, I'll give you some photos of this Abyss crack," Alesse said. He went home with some books in his bag.
Upon reaching home, he immediately locked the door of his room and read all the books about the Abyss crack and its history.
The Abyss Cracks first appeared simultaneously in several places from around the world just a day after the birth of Alesse.
The largest crack appeared in Washington, United States. At first it was a giant hole that was thought to be a Sinkhole, but the longer the land around it the more elevated to resemble a volcanic crater. A few days later strange creatures begin to arrive and wreak havoc on the city.
The creature was referred to as a demon because the majority almost resembled humans, but was larger and had horns. Even a dark aura appeared all over their bodies.
With their enormous and aggressive size, of course humans could not fight them. It was at that moment that the people referred to as Elementalists appeared. They were the ones who could control some materials and energy.
Among them there are those who can control water, land, air, fire, electricity, and Nature. For materials and energies other than Nature it is definitely easier to imagine what the specifics are, but controlling Nature has a special difference. Controlled materials are living materials such as cells, tissues, organisms, plants, and animals.
The Elementalists immediately faced the demons and set up a blockade for the safety of the surrounding community.
The appearance of this Abyss crack was very random, but not all places contained an Elementalist. Therefore, the Guardian, an organization that houses Elementalists and is ready to help any country affected by the Abyss.
But as time goes on, the Guardian not only helps with the Abyss crack, they also help with security and disaster management issues. People call them heroes.
...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...
Alesse closed his book after reading everything he needed. Unfortunately, his curiosity was too high until he decided to go to the Black Hall hill at that time, even though the survey schedule from the university was still two days away.
He immediately brought some equipment and went to walk to the Black Hall hill. After an hour of walking, he finally arrived.
"Alright, since the existence of the Abyss crack was unpublished, it seems like I have to do some troublesome things.
He took a spray bottle in his bag and sprayed it all over his body.
He began to climb up the hill and found a police line used as a barrier to dangerous zones.
"That's big!" alesse said with a sweaty face. He took a picture of the praying mantis.
After a few minutes of observing and noting the difference that the praying mantis has with normal praying mantis, he concluded.
"It looks like this praying mantis doesn't belong to any family! This is not a mutation! It's like something coming from somewhere else! Something that does not exist on this earth" said Alesse.
He followed the direction of the praying mantis out of curiosity. Subconsciously he went straight through the barrier. He did not see some belongings of others lying nearby.
Finally he found a place that he suspected to be the Abyss crack. It looks like a piece of land in that place. While from within it continued to emit a dark purple-colored aura.
Alesse also took pictures from various sides of the place. After feeling satisfied, he looked back at the praying mantis that looked like it was waiting for him.
The praying mantis walked back after Alesse looked at her. "What the fuck is that grasshopper? He wants to show you something? It looks like he's very clever for an insect" Alesse said. He also wrote a hypothesis in his notebook and then followed the praying mantis again.
"It's already outside the Abyss crack zone! So boring! Where's he going?" ask Alesse astonishment.
The twilight came, but Alesse followed the praying mantis, eventually finding a shallow river.
The grasshopper started to cross the river slowly. "That's weird! Why isn't he getting carried away?" Alesse was astonished and followed the grasshopper.
Unfortunately the grasshopper was immediately washed away in the middle of the river. "Who? Where's she? Drowned out? Isn't this just a shallow river?" Alesse immediately approached where the grasshopper disappeared.
Suddenly he stepped on something at the bottom of the river, like a huge crack. Suddenly he felt the ground he was stepping on revolving a hundred and eighty degrees.
"What the fuck was that feeling? Just make me shiver! Aye? It's almost night!" Alesse just realized that the sky is dim purple.
"Hm! Rarely does the sky seem this dark! I'd better get home!" Alesse. He immediately turned around, but was startled by a praying mantis. He also fell down
"Damn! Since when did the grasshopper become this big?" Alesse looked panicked as the locust's eyes suddenly lit up red.
"Finally my bait paid off! But I'm so disappointed that you're still too small! I thought you were a grown man" said a man in a green robe.
"Who are you? What's your business with me?" ask Alesse. "Rushan? You don't seem like an ordinary kid. Yeah, even if you're really special," said the man.
"Awas son! Get away from her!" shouted a girl while launching some pointy ice.
"The eyelentalist? It's the first time I've seen an Elementalist other than my own sister" Alesse said. "Son! Get out of here! He can brainwash you!" yelled the girl.
Alesse tried to run, but some locusts blocked him. "Argh! There's no choice!" the girl looked upset and walked over to Alesse.
"Did? What do you want?" ask Alesse astonishment. The girl directly pierced Alesse's two ears with pointed ice.
"Eh? Aye? What the hell are you doing? Why did you stab my head? It hurts so much!" alesse said, he looked helpless. His vision began to blur, he tried to fumble his ears and feel something strange.
"Who? Why not bleed? This is so painful!" Alesse. The ice embedded in his ears began to glow. That made Alesse even more painful, but his body felt even more limp.
"I'm sorry son, there's no choice but this!" said the girl. "Am I going to die?" ask Alesse. Before hearing the girl reply, her hearing and vision disappeared, she immediately fell lying on the ground.
