The Guardian: The Elementalist

"Alesse, you know? You were born like a miracle to us! You were born just when the world was in an uproar about the emergence of Elementalists who sounded like they had unreasonable power" Andin said.

Alesse seemed uninterested in his mother's words, not because he was two years old, although he could already understand the words of his parents, but there were other things that made him curious. He tried to shake Andin's arm.

"What's Alesse? You hungry?" ask Hendra. Alesse paused for a moment and nodded, trying to repeat Hendra's words. "La.. par! Ma.. kan," he said in a broken voice. Her tiny mouth could not make a sound too long.

"Alright, I'll make porridge," said Hendra. Alesse shook his head while pointing at Andin.

"Why? I can't move, there's your sister in my stomach" Andin said. "Later if your sister is born, mother will cook good food" said Andin. Alesse nodded.

"Alesse is really smart huh! You're a good boy!" andin said as he rubbed Alesse's head.

Actually Alesse did not really want to eat, he just tried a few things to interact with them. Because he has not been fluent in speaking, he can only do various behaviors so that his parents understand him.

At the age of just two years, he was able to walk into all the rooms in the house, he was even able to distinguish which objects he could touch and which were not.

A few weeks later his sister was born with a furore. The young Alesse looked curious and examined the crowd of people.

"It looks like the baby's entire body is overgrown with feathers" said one of the children. "Did? Just be right! I didn't see any feathers, just a baby that looked red with a black stain, maybe it was dried blood" said one of the others.

"It's not a blood stain! It's wet fine feathers! Looks like the kid's a freak! Look at her lips looking cleft! Holy hooch! It's not a human baby! It's like a cat! Look at his ears!" said one of the.

The room was immediately closed, while Hendra immediately brought Alesse inside.

"Alesse, look! This is your sister" Andin said, showing the baby with a pale smile. It seemed like he looked sad, scared, and some other feeling that made his face look like that.

Alesse also did not dare to look at her, he immediately put his face on Hendra's chest.

"Why Alesse?" asked Hendra astonished. Alesse did not reply, he pulled Hendra's shirt hard to cover his face.

Feeling uncomfortable with neighbors who continue to talk about their children, Hendra also let them all out of the house.

A few hours later, Alesse was curious about the appearance of his sister. He tried to approach Andin hesitantly.

"What's Alesse? You want to see your sister? Look at! She's so adorable!" andin said while showing the baby's face.

The baby looked like a cat with dense fur, because it was rather large and patterned, it looked more like a white tiger baby.

"Gee!" Alesse was getting interested in approaching her. Looking at the face wrapped in soft fur, Alesse was eager to wipe it. Unfortunately, he is still afraid of it.

"Why? Let's try holding it!" said Hendra while lifting Alesse's body so that the bus reached the baby.

Alesse had not touched, the baby suddenly opened its eyes. That surprised Alesse.

Just then the baby's body changed, the dense feathers that covered his body disappeared. Her cleft lips and pointed ears also changed. The baby turned into a completely normal baby.

"A... What really happened? Why our son....." Andin looked panicked. "That must be that thing! Elementalists! Looks like our son is an Elementalist!" hendra said, He looked happy.

"The eyelentalist? Really true?" Andin doesn't believe it. "Then whatnot? A miracle like this was definitely an Elementalist trait! I can't believe I saw it in person!" Hendra.

Alesse was still staring at the baby with a feeling of incomprehension. He looked disappointed that the baby's fine feathers had disappeared, and even his face had changed.

"Because he is a beast-like being, it seems like he is a Natural Elementalist!" exclaim Hendra. "Where do you know that?" ask Andin.

"Of course I know! I am their fan! I can't believe that even my own son was born an Elementalist!" Hendra.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean that! I'm just impressed by the magic they've created" Hendra said.

"Then, from today on, you better stop liking them! You have to be a fan of your children" Andin said.

"I'm definitely a fan of both of them! My kids are the best!" hendra said while lifting Alesse's body.

Alesse looked at his father with a flat face, he did not understand what they were talking about.

"Alesse, why don't you smile? Are you sick?" asked Hendra astonished. "Oh yeah, lately he rarely smiles! Why would ya?" Andin also thought of Hendra.

"Ofless? Is anyone sick? Or are you hungry?" asked Hendra while examining his body. Alesse just shook his head.

Seeing a two-year-old child able to respond to the words of others, the couple was relieved.

"It turns out Alesse is the best! It seems like he can already understand all of our words!" Hendra.

Four years passed, now Alesse has entered the age of 6 years and began to go to school. He grew up to be a quiet and mysterious child.

One day after returning home from school, Alesse went to the library opposite the school. The place was so dull that not many people approached it.

"What's up, son? This place is not for playing! If you're doing some shit, you better go home!" said the library guard who was very unfriendly.

Alesse didn't care for her, he kept walking in and picked up the book at random. Unfortunately, from the books he examined, there was nothing that interested him.

Seeing Alesse who was very enthusiastic looking for books, the library guard was curious and approached him.

"In this section contains only encyclopedia books, there is nothing interesting unless you are a science enthusiast. If it's for kids, you better find a book in the corner of the room. There are also many sleep magazines that contain stories," said the guard.

Alesse smiled, only nodding while lowering his body a little as his gratitude. Go to the end of the room.

His attention was drawn to a dull book made of brownish old model paper. He immediately took it because he was interested in the sketch drawings on the inside.

"I've guessed, kids like to look for pictures in books only, they don't really read them!" The library guard concluded.

"Can I borrow this book?" ask Alesse. The library guard was shocked after hearing Alesse speak.

"Let's! I thought I couldn't talk. Can do! Come on, let me see the number of the book" said the library keeper. Alesse handed the book over.

"Who? There seems to be no sign! Did it fall there?" asked the guard, he tried to inspect the bookshelf and floor, but found no marker.

"Where did you get this book?" ask the guard. Alesse shook his head, he even forgot how the story was he was holding the book.

"It seems like we both forgot! Though I also saw you pick up the book earlier, but I forgot about it!" said guard. He began to think for a moment while Alesse tried to remember him.

"Yes, this book you just take home, it looks like it's just tucked in the shelf. You're lucky, this book is yours now!" said the guard while trying to open the sheet. He was surprised because the writing in the book was so foreign.

"Hm! This... what character? It's not like Chinese writing, nor Japanese! I've never seen anything like this. Get tired! You won't read it either, will you?" said the guard while handing the book to Alesse.

Alesse thanked him and immediately went home.
