The Guardian: The Elementalist
Dull Book

The myth, a story of unknown origin, spread quickly among the public because it was so interesting to hear.

Myth is the beginning of everything. The beginning that leads man to think, to explore the causes and effects that exist and occur in this world.

The reason for the rain, why the mountain erupted, the cause of the earthquake, why the day is bright while the night is dark, and so on. Myth wraps up all those questions to lead people to think critically.

Myths teach us that all phenomena that occur in this world exist for us to explore the cause, if it is a bad thing then we have to find a solution, we have to find a solution, if that's a good thing then we have to figure out how to defend it or trigger it.

The phenomenon in this world is not left to pass. There is an implied message that wants to be conveyed from him. A message that guides humans to live differently than animals, to guide humans towards an infinite civilization.

Alesse closed the dull book. The foreword described made him very interested until he finally continued his reading.

The causal story of natural phenomena in this world is told in such a way as to the smell of fantasy in the book. Alesse's mind was increasingly open to the initiative to find the real cause and effect.

He did not read the book quickly, he read one story and then sought the truth by reading another book in the library.

The first story he read was the origin of rain. After days of digesting it, he went to the library and looked for the reason behind the rain.

Finally he also knows many things, ranging from evaporation, water circulation, water absorption, rain types, weather forecasts, and so forth. He subconsciously studied various sciences because he read the fairy tales presented in the dull book.

For several years, he has mastered the basics of science such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, anthropology, psychology, sociology, and various other fields. Of course he finished it at the age of ten.

Even so, his parents were still unaware of it. Alesse always looks him m at home. Both of his parents turned their attention to Alex, Alesse's sister who has strange abilities. Her sister can sometimes turn into an adorable tiger cub, which makes her parents always pay attention to her.

Alesse is also actually very curious about the changes Alex has, especially because the growth is too fast. Unconsciously Alex had already reached his nose and it gave him goosebumps of fear.

Finally he asked his parents to separate his room with his sister.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

The holiday arrived. The quiet Alesse immediately stopped by the dull library as usual.

"Hi curious! You don't seem to be tired of coming here! Maybe you've been here 1789 times" said the library keeper, his name is Irawan.

"Uncle is also not tired of counting my presence here" Alesse said with a smile. So far he had only let out his expression at this place. He also talked a lot with Irawan.

Since I first met him, five years ago. Alesse often asked him about the cause and effect of natural phenomena occurring in this world.

Irawan is also a nerd so it can answer Alesse's curiosity easily. But after a long period of troublesome questions, he finally told Alesse to search for himself.

"Today I want to read about something else?" ask Irawan. "Software engineering" said Alesse. "Geez! I feel guilty for making you a nerd too" Irawan said.

"It's okay, I really enjoyed it. If only there was a laboratory here, it would probably be more effective for my studies" Alesse said.

"Hm! It seems like the way you speak is getting better! You speak like an adult! It's really amazing!" Irawan.

Alesse took something out of his pocket. It was a new phone, it made Irawan surprised.

"Da... Where did that thing come from? Isn't it very expensive?" Irawan asked while not stopping staring at the phone.

"I bought it" Alesse said briefly. "Ti. is impossible! Even if you have money, no shop will be willing to serve a little boy like you for such a costly item!" Irawan.

Alesse seemed upset because he was lazy to explain in more detail, but in order not to be mistaken for stealing, he explained. "I thought this uncle was smart, why would he still ask with something as simple as this? Times have changed, uncle! We can order anything on the internet! That way the store won't know if I'm an adult or not" Alesse said.

"Little kids can think that far? It's absolutely incredible! Then, where did you get the stuff from?" ask Irawan curious.

"Isn't your home in a remote village? where do the internet, computers and so on come from? I don't think your family is rich, don't you.... cafe?" guess Irawan.

"That's right! Many here are internet cafes accessible, since I always go to random places, hackers will not easily find me!" Alesse.

"All right, I want to read! Uncle don't bother!" Alesse went straight to the sofa in the corner of the room.

Not long after that a tiger cub or a half-tiger man entered the library in a hurry. Irawan did not realize it because of his small body.

Alesse was surprised not to play when he saw the tiger approaching him. "lex? Why are you here? What are you doing?" alesse asked frantically, he did not want Irawan to know the form of his sister.

Unfortunately Alex hugged her and cried loudly. "God! Alex! You can't cry here! You can't be noisy!" alesse said as he rubbed the child's head to calm down.

Alesse was shocked when he realized that Irawan was looking at him. "What is that thing? Why is his voice so loud?" ask Irawan astonishment. He is attracted by Alex's tail that continues to move.

"This is not a thing! He's my brother!" Alesse. "Sister? That hairy doll?" Irawan approached both. He couldn't stand Alex's tail and ended up holding it. Spontaneously Alex immediately bit Irawan's arm.

"It's not polite! Don't carelessly touch people's stuff or uncle's going to get fucked!" reprimand Alesse. "I'm fucked! Hey, can you stop this thing? He still bit uncle's hand strongly!" said Irawan rather frightened.

"Alex, release! He's not a bad guy" Alesse said. Alex releases his bite and hides behind Alesse. "The score is so tempting! It seems like uncle has just discovered something unusual" Irawan said.

"Uncle's response seemed mundane to something unusual" Alesse said. He wondered why Irawan was not surprised.

"So soon this area will be famous for it. Elementalists are very rare in Indonesia!" Irawan. "It's very troublesome! Why are you out in clothes like this? Who's asking?" reprimand Alesse while flanking Alex's cheek with both hands.

Alex seemed annoyed, he replied to Alesse by tickling him, they both seemed very attached to each other. It makes me jealous.

"Alesse, may uncle touch your sister? Just one second!" Irawan. "Pedophiles?" Alesse put on a concerned face. "No! Uncle just wondered what the child's fur was like," said Irawan.

"Alex, can that uncle touch your head for a second?" ask Alesse. Alex nodded with a doubtful face, he held onto Alesse's shirt tightly.

"It's okay, don't be afraid" Alesse said. Irawan also tried to touch Alex's head and rubbed his ears. "So these are real ears?" Irawan was impressed when he saw the ear suddenly move before he actually touched it.

"If the women see this, they might fight over it" said Irawan. "He's been chased by terrible aunts. It's wrong for him to wear open clothes" Alesse said.

"That was his own taste, he did like to wear such clothes. Not like you who like to wear tight-fitting clothes. At first I was also surprised by you, like a priest," said Irawan.

"What care is uncle?" ask Alesse annoyed. "You don't wonder how your sister could be like that?" ask Irawan.

"It's not in order! I haven't finished my book of myths" said Alesse. "That weird book that uncle gave you? Can't the book be read? The writing in it looks strange," said Irawan.

"How could I have read it so easily" said Alesse. "Eh? Is that true? Or the uncle who saw it wrong?" Irawan. "Maybe" said Alesse. He did not tell how he could read foreign writings in the dull book. He himself did not know why he could read the book.

Finally Alesse stopped reading and brought Alex home. Andin and Hendra were already waiting in front of the house with faces of astonishment.

"Why did mom and dad let her out in such clothes?" ask Alesse annoyed. "She feels uncomfortable with her clothes covered, she also wants to be free to play with her friends! If his shirt is too covered, he cannot move freely" said Hendra.

"Then there's no need to play! I just keep wearing clothes like this, why can't she?" alesse asked annoyedly, he strongly did not accept the time his reading was interrupted.

Hearing their conversation, Alex immediately cried incessantly, he felt guilty. Unfortunately, that made Alesse even more upset.

Andin immediately approached Alex and calmed him down. "You better not let Alex go all the way! Once he changed, people would be tempted to catch him!" alesse said then left. He still wants to read a book in the library.
