"Hey, how long are you gonna be here? Hasn't it started late in the evening?" asked Irawan, he did not expect Baraq to survive in the old library for all day.
"Till any time," said Baraq. "Are you not hungry? It's past lunchtime!" Irawan. "And you didn't remind me at all about it before? You want me to starve to death in this place? Is that so? You secretly intend to kill me?" ask Baraq.
"Mom.. That's not what I mean! You don't seem to want to be disturbed, so I just shut up" Irawan said. "Hmm? You think I want to hear your reasons? The fact here is you're letting me starve. I don't even remember forbidding you to speak" Baraq said.
"Aren't you mad when I tried to touch you?" ask Irawan. Baraq remained silent while closing his book and stared at Irawan for a long time. "I don't think you're a kid who needs to be directed anymore. Is touching and talking the same thing? I didn't know your mindset could be that narrow for someone who handles thousands of books here" Baraq said.
"Wait a minute! Why is the way you speak getting so insolent? is it because you're a high school kid now?" ask Irawan.
"You changed the subject? we haven't finished the problem reminding me to eat today! Look, it's even late! Looks like you've been stalling on purpose to make me skip dinner" Baraq said.
"Your suspicions are so unfounded! You...really pissing me off! Go now if you don't want to go hungry!" Irawan. "Who are you to dare to rule me?" baraq asked, his voice blaring like thunder and it echoed to the corner of the room. When Irawan could not move at all, he could not even open his jaw to speak.
"I'll forgive you if you go bring me some food now!" baraq then continued his reading.
Irawan was still pecking for a few seconds until finally his body could be moved again. He was still confused by what had just happened.
"Aren't you going to bring me food?" baraq asked, his voice so intimidating that Irawan immediately nodded and went outside the library.
A few minutes later, he returned with a pack of food. It was then that Baraq closed his reading book, his gaze turned to the window. Irawan also went to check what he really saw.
It looked like a man in shabby clothes, like he had just done a lot of menial work. "That guy. I am very sorry, it seems he worked hard to support his son and wife" said Irawan.
"What are you talking about? The man was Alesse's younger brother, and he still sleeps and eats at his parents' place" Baraq said. "Eh? Alesse's sister? You mean that little cat you used to bring here? Is that the guy? Maybe you saw it wrong! What I mean is a man over there!" said Irawan while trying to show it with his index finger.
"Yes, that man is Alex, he is Alesse's younger brother" Baraq said. "really? That big guy is your sister? How's it possible?" ask Irawan. "Let me straighten this out? Why do you always say that man is my brother?" baraq asked, he frowned in slight annoyance.
"Mom..didn't you just say it?" ask Irawan. "So stupid, you're deaf too" Baraq said. Again Irawan was annoyed by the way he spoke. "Oh, that guy is coming here! It looks like he saw you in here," he said.
As he said, the man actually entered the library and approached Baraq. "Isn't it already night? Let's go home and eat, '" he said.
Alex could only scratch his head with a friendly smile. He felt uncomfortable because Baraq spoke disrespectfully to Irawan.
"It's true uncle, I'm the cat, my name is Alex" Alex said. "Well! It has been a long time since we met! You look so different! I really remember you biting my hand for trying to stroke your head" Irawan said with a laugh. Alex laughed too.
"Well! But I can't believe you grew up that fast. I can't believe you're the younger brother of this boy" Irawan said, pointing at Baraq.
"Ehm, Ma. sorry uncle, he's not my brother. My brother is Alesse" Alex said. "Hey, there's no need to call me uncle! It feels so strange to hear that call from such a big man like you! Eh? wait out? You're not the little brother of this boy? Aye? That he's not Alesse? Who's she?" Irawan asked in confusion.
"You're really very slow!" baraq said while shaking his head in disbelief. "That there is Baraq, not Alesse, uncle! Alesse doesn't have orange eyes" Alex said.
"Isn't this just cosplay trending among young people?" ask Irawan. "I don't understand what you're talking about. Alesse and I were different people" Baraq said, rising from his seat.
"I think I'll just eat at home. Then the package, you're the one who ate it. Tomorrow I'll come here again. I hope you bring me some refreshing snacks and drinks. This place is too bland!" Baraq.
"You think this is a cafe and a palace? This is a library!" Irawan. "This place is too boring and no longer helpful! I think that's why people don't want to get into it" Baraq said, leaving with Alex out of the library.
"How do you know this place? Or maybe you have the same memory as Alesse?" ask Alex. "Alesse told me........" Baraq could not continue his answer, he did not want Alex to realize that in the room there were two different people.
Arriving at home, Baraq went straight to the room. Alesse was waiting with a waistline. "You're this....it's really amazing! No one told you to come back after dusk!" Alesse. "Nobody is against me either" Baraq said. "Even though I'm forbidden, you won't obey!" Alesse. "At least I will listen" Baraq said.
"Look, you've even intended to ignore my ban!" alesse was upset. "That's it, there's no need to get angry! Today went as smoothly as ever. You don't bother me and I don't bother you. I thought it was our deal at the beginning" Baraq said.
"No! You can't just go in and out of this house! If you come when I show them my face, you're done!" Alesse. "That's your problem, not mine. I don't care if they know our secret, it has no impact at all. My advice, if you really want to keep your life a secret, get out of this house" Baraq said.
"Hmm? You must think of yourself as so special! All right, I don't care what else is going to happen. Instead, I will not share food with you" Alesse said.
"How presumptuous! Are you threatening me now?" ask Baraq. "This is a deal! Follow my rules or die of hunger. If you want to get food easily, live as Alesse Jawara! You're nobody who has the right to rule anyone else here. There are no bad words and cannot show your control. If you break one of them, you won't get any food!" Alesse. "Curtain!" Baraq looked annoyed and kicked the study table.
"One more! No broken stuff!" Alesse added then opened the door. "Eat it, it looks like you haven't had dinner yet" he said, then descending to the bottom.
