Chapter 28
“Do you want to come to London and meet the director, Fenton or not?” ask Constan again.
"Do I.. I have to break it now?" It is clearly depicted the look on Dygta's face that is hesitant and doubtful.
"of course! You have to make a decision before you actually leave the Peters family residence. You're leaving, aren't you?"
"really. I'm leaving the Peters residence. I'm going back to Torquay to pick up my belongings at the inn" Dygta said.
"I have a feeling that you're coming back and before that you must have told Manner that you were after visiting from my cottage."
Undeniably this time Dygta's face looks reddened. "I couldn't avoid it, because I was wearing your jacket and Limin quickly recognized it. However I must admit to coming and going from the residence," Dygta looked up to avoid making his face look too flushed.
"I remember that I gave you a kiss on your lips," Constan smiled. "Honestly, I didn't mean it that way. I'm taking you to my Cottage not for that purpose, it's completely unfounded that Manner thinks you are."
"By the way, why can you bruise like that?" ask Constan.
"Bagging?" Dygta seemed to be fingering her cheeks. "Oh, yesterday I fell down the stairs. What do you think I am?" ask Dygta again. "You think Manner slapped me on the cheek after finding out I came home from your cottage?"
"I don't know. It just crossed my mind, even though the impossible happened." Constan smiled displaying his stern face. "Tell you, Dygta. I will not force or be able to ensure that you will be accepted into my group. But there is a chance, if you want to try it," he said again.
"My father always wanted me to try. When he was young, he was full of ambition. But his ambition soon died following mother," Dygta said.
A few moments passed, unimportant chatter just flowed by.
"alright. I'm coming to see your director" Dygta said suddenly. "And thank you for asking me to try to see him."
"Now we better get back to Peters' house. What time do you leave?"
"I'd better get going this morning." They walked back to Peters' house. The sun had already started to burst out from its hiding place. "I can take the bus. You don't have to worry about that."
"What about the fare? You have it?" ask Constan.
"Not to worry. Thank you." Thank you."
Upon hearing the remark, Constan's heart remained moved to give Dygta the money. He reached into his wallet which was in the pocket of his back pants, and took some money to hand over to Dygta.
"Well, take this. Let's just say this is your first salary." Constan put directly into the Dygta jacket. "You don't stay at that inn anymore. You can find a hotel for you to rest at the Tagara Hotel. I sure want to like it. I'll pick you up there tomorrow morning. We're going to London together. Agreed?"
"But I don't need this money, Constan" Dygta refused. Constan laughed at the call from Dygta. "Take your money back. I have money. I'll take it from my savings. My savings book is in my suitcase."
"Dygta, don't you think that your suitcase doesn't exist? You said that the innkeeper was a little mischievous" Constan said so that he would not accept the money back.
"It has to be there! All the clothes are in there! For my passbook, it wouldn't be valuable to anyone else," he explained rather angrily.
"That's it. Just take the money from me," said Constan did not want to hear a longer reason than Dygta's refusal.
