Chapter 6: He's Being Guessed

That night Xixi came out of prince Xiao San's room. He left the prince's residence and returned to his room to rest. But as he walked out of the prince's palace, he sensed that someone was following him secretly. Xixi tried to remain calm. He continued walking towards his room, but in the middle of the journey was suddenly blocked by a masked man and attacked him.

Xixi tries to fight the masked man but he fails. Finally the masked man beat him unconscious. The man took Xixi to a hidden place and tied her there. Xixi was unconscious until the morning. He tried to open his eyes but he was surprised around him there was only a small room like a warehouse and inside there was only a pile of hay. Xixi tries to calm herself down and tries to untie her hands and feet.

Xixi saw two masked men standing guard at the door. They just stood there without anyone talking. Xixi took advantage of this condition to keep trying to untie the bond. Long enough to endure the pain of the bond, he finally managed to untie the bonds in both of his hands. Then he wanted to untie the ties on both legs but was noticed by the two masked men. The two men immediately held Xixi's hand and beat her back until Xixi was unconscious.

"Xixis.. Xixi.." the prince shouted out to call Xixi's name but there was no response whatsoever.

"Greetings prince. Dayang Xixi was going to buy something for the prince. I was told by Xixi's lady-in-waiting to give me breakfast. Dayang Xixi advised that the prince could rest and wait for Xixi's lady in the room alone." said one of the palace ladies.

Prince Xiao San believed the palace lady. The prince told the palace lady to leave her room. The prince ate his breakfast with pleasure. He was so happy, for a moment he thought that Xixi went to buy him a new book. Prince Xiao San rested in his room while reading an old book. Tired of reading books, he fell asleep in bed.

That afternoon, eunuch Li came to the prince carrying a message from emperor Xiao Ge. However as there was no response from the prince, eunuch Li forcibly opened the door of his room. He was surprised to see the prince's body that had already started to blacken. Eunuch Li panicked and told the palace guards to immediately bring the palace healer. Eunuch Li tried to give her pure energy so that the poison would not spread throughout the prince's body.

The healer reached the prince's residence and checked the condition of the prince, it turns out that he is already in critical condition. Emperor Xiao Ge along with his younger brother and the prince's two cousins came. They looked at the state of the prince with uneasiness and anxiety.

"How is the healer, is the prince okay?" the emperor was very worried.

"Force the noble servant, it turns out that the poison in the prince's body has already spread. The poison has been attacking him since morning." said the palace healer slowly.

Eunuch Li looked at the leftovers in the prince's room and guessed that the poison came from this food. Eunuch Li called the palace investigator and examined the food.

"Who gave you this food?" the emperor was very angry.

"Where's Xixi's ladyboy? Bring him to me now!" the emperor's orders to the entire palace guard.

The palace physician tried to remove the poison from the prince's collapse, but still he had to get the antidote. The emperor ordered all the court physicians to find an antidote to poison everywhere. The entire palace was busy. The court physician seeks an antidote for the prince and the palace guards look for Xixi who is thought to have escaped.

As night fell, Xixi regained her senses and saw her already tied back. Xixi tirelessly tried to return to untie the bond and now she has to be more careful not to get caught. Xixi slowly tried to untie the bond and she finally succeeded. He tried to stand up and slowly move his legs in order to escape. But once again outside that door the two masked men noticed it and tried to attack Xixi. This time Xixi did not want to lose, she tried to fight against the two masked men. He threw a secret powder that he made to make the eyes of the two masked men into pain. He tied the two masked men together and examined their bodies. Xixi finds a letter, apparently in the letter containing a warrant to kidnap her.

It turned out that Xixi realized that there was someone who wanted to frame her. Xixi hid the two masked men to serve as evidence. After finishing the affair with the two masked men, he walked back towards the prince's palace. He felt that the prince must have been very worried about him. Arriving at the palace, Xixi was very surprised. He was greeted by dozens of palace guards who pointed spears at him. Xixi does not understand what is going on, she is thrown into a dungeon.

Xixi sat quietly on that cold straw. He doesn't understand what's really going on. Until eunuch Li came to see him. Eunuch Li asked him, was it true that he had poisoned the prince. Xixi was very surprised to hear the story from eunuch Li. Xixi cries knowing the prince is in critical condition.

"Eunuch Li I beg you to let me see the prince just once. I beg you" Xixi said with a full plea.

Eunuch Li faced the emperor and asked to let Xixi see the prince before getting severe punishment. Emperor permitted. Xixi checks the condition of the prince and says that she can heal the prince. The emperor gave him the opportunity to treat it with the supervision of eunuch Li. Xixi managed to remove the poison in the prince's body, but she failed to make the prince unconscious.

"Prince, forgive the servant who can't protect you" Xixi said with tears as the palace guards forced her to return to the dungeon.

Xixi sat in a very cold dungeon. He cried incessantly, regretting himself being unable to protect the prince.

"I'm sorry prince.. Forgive me for the last time." said Xixi in a soft voice.

She continued to cry until it made her chest tight and weak. He's incapable of doing anything. It all seems to be too late. He's setting himself up. If this was his destiny, he would have accepted all the punishments that were not his fault. His eyes closed and fell asleep on a cold pedestal with his cheeks still wet with tears that could not be contained anymore. Xixi lost hope of not being able to heal the beloved prince.
