She tried to check on the state of her little concubine, she was surprised to see her injuries getting worse. The wound started to pus. He looked at the face of his little concubine who was now deathly pale in color. His body shivered slightly from the cold, but continued to sweat from enduring the pain.
"Don't worry, I'm fine. Can you take care of Xiao Jiwu for a moment? I want to rest for a while." said the little concubine with a sorrowful look.
"Hm, rest. I will take care of our son." said prince Xiao San calmly as he kissed the little concubine's forehead.
The little concubine closed her eyes and fell asleep covered in straw and covered in the robes of prince Xiao San. Hugging her son who was fast asleep, she made sure her son did not feel the cold inside the prison of grief. Prince Xiao San could only stare at the ceiling of the prison made of stone. Around him there were only the sounds of shouting of someone who was being whipped or the voices of someone who was crying out of loneliness and fear. Throughout the night, prince Xiao San only hugged his son and stared at the ceiling of the prison blankly. He did not know if it was still night or even morning. The world is isolated in a prison of grief.
"Little concubine.. Little concubine.." the cry of the young physician resuscitated prince Xiao San from his daydream.
"What's wrong? Tell me what's up Chen Yi?" asked the prince worriedly.
"Prince, look. Prince, look." Chen Yi said with a stammering word.
"What's saying is clear" asked the prince Xiao San while giving a loud slap to resuscitate him.
"Prince, the little concubine is not breathing anymore" Chen Yi said in a soft voice
"What?" prince Xiao San shouted in a loud voice.
The prince, who did not believe the young healer's words, sat down and tried to examine the breath of his little concubine. He was surprised to find that the little concubine was not breathing. He tried to dismiss the fact, once again he tried to check the heartbeat, but the bitter reality he found, the prince did not hear the sound of the heartbeat of his little concubine.
"Little concubine, please wake up." the prince called his little concubine with a shout that made the whole prison dweller be able to hear her.
"Little concubine, I say wake up." the prince shouted once more while shaking his body.
There was no response from his little concubine, prince Xiao San looked a little crazy. He tried to give an artificial breath, but the results remained the same. Little concubine Xixi is not breathing anymore. Knowing there was no hope anymore, prince Xiao San grew uncontrollable. He tried to destroy the guard padlock with his bare hands. He tried to break the prison bars. But it was all for nothing. It was not the prison bars or locks that were destroyed, it was his hands that were almost broken for trying to destroy the prison.
"You're all assholes. You're all losers. Untie us. You're all savages." the prince continued to shout incessantly with an increasingly desperate voice.
"I won't give up." said the prince Xiao San as he lashed the padlock.
After a long effort, the lock finally opened. He carried the body of the little concubine who had started to cool down. Prince Xiao San was trying to lead the way to protect his wife and son. They continued to walk through the prison of grief, until he met someone he did not suspect.
"Eunuch Li?" call prince Xiao San when he sees the figure of the traitorous man.
Prince Xiao San stood firmly in front of his son and tightly held his little concubine. His gaze was full of anger, no matter what happened he would not leave a person so precious to his life.
"Greetings prince. The prince should come with me immediately." said eunuch Li slowly while looking around him.
"No. I don't trust you said the prince while shaking off eunuch Li's hand.
"I beg the prince, believe me." said eunuch Li, showing the plaque of emperor Xiao Ge.
"That is .." said prince Xiao San a little hesitantly.
"If the prince wants to know. Please come with me. Soon they will come." said eunuch Li anxiously.
This time the prince tried to believe him. He followed eunuch Li to leave the prison of grief. Eunuch Li led the way leading to the secret path and they followed him from behind. Eunuch Li led them to a secret door that was inside the prison of grief and behind the secret door was a cave-like underground passage that connected to a way out of the palace. The road below is very small because it can only be passed by one person. They had to walk slowly in order to get out of that secret path.
"Is it still far away eunuch Li?" asked the prince curiously.
"The prince soon. Soon we arrive." said eunuch Li briefly.
The prince did not ask again. He fell silent and followed eunuch Li. After a long journey, he finally saw a bright light. It turned out to be an exit. When he came out, he got to a place. The place was no stranger, it was a printing bookstore belonging to a small concubine. The prince remembers it. The little concubine brought him here.
"Chen Yi, bring your prince and brother in. I have to go." said eunuch Li.
"Fine father." said Chen Yi, to the surprise of the prince.
