Chapter 14: News of Xixi's Death

Commander Chen Zhen along with some of his troops headed to the emperor Xiao Ge's residence. The Emperor was waiting for him on the throne.

"Greetings to the emperor" said the bowed commander.

"Arise." the emperor commanded.

The commander sat opposite the emperor. The emperor asked the commander to tell him everything. The commander with pretense and full of lies told all the events without suspicion. The emperor believed the story of the commander. The Emperor deeply regretted this incident. Dayang Xixi palace has contributed a lot to the palace. The Emperor did not expect, the task given to him actually took his life.

The unfinished prince listened to the palace lady said, the prince immediately left her and looked for Xixi in his residence. The prince walked quickly to reach Xixi's residence with the painting. He smiled very happily, hearing Xixi had returned.

But arriving in front of Xixi's room, the prince was surprised to see many palace ladies and palace guards standing in front of Xixi's room and sobbing. The prince was confused as to what was going on there. Suddenly he saw eunuch Li coming out of Xixi's room. The prince ran over to Eunuch Li.

"Eunuch Li, what is going on? Where's Xixi?" asked the prince with a face full of confusion.

Eunuch Li did not answer the question and just gently patted her shoulders. The prince saw eunuch Li showing his head and crying. The prince was confused. He was curious and tried to enter Xixi's room. He went into the room and saw a coffin. The prince froze. He just stood in the distance looking at the coffin. His body was trembling, he wished it wasn't Xixi. His mind drifted about not knowing where, his gaze blank and hollow.

He walked slowly towards the coffin. He moved his legs slowly, as if his feet were very heavy. He did not dare to look inside the coffin, his knees feeling limp. He seemed to want to fall. He tried to hold one of the dead edges to support his already limp body.

He took a deep breath. He tried to calm himself. He tried to stand up straight. He slowly looked towards the coffin. He looked at the coffin and was surprised to see the figure of the woman he loved was already lying frozen.

"Xixis.. Xixi.." call the prince slowly.

"Xixis.. Xixis.. Wake up.. It's me." call the prince in a weak voice.

"Xixi, are you still mad at me?" whispered gentle prince.

"Xixi, answer me. I beg you." said the prince in a soft voice.

The prince's tears continuously dripped down his cheeks. He was trying to wake Xixi up. He still believed that Xixi was sleeping.

"Xixi, please wake up. Wake up." said the prince sounding desperate.

"Xixi, I'm here. Please open your eyes. Look at me making a painting for you." said the prince, getting desperate.

"Xixi, please wake up. I beg you to get up." the prince shouted loudly all of a sudden, making the entire palace guard and palace ladies in the vicinity very surprised.

Eunuch Li who heard the cry of the prince, immediately ran inside. He looked at the prince who was constantly trying to wake Xixi's body. In the end the emperor's fear ensued, the prince could not accept this fate. He was shaken and suffering.

"Let's go prince, we return to the prince's residence." said eunuch Li gently.

The prince rejected her and continued to hold Xixi's hand. He did not want to leave Xixi alone. He just wanted to accompany Xixi.

"I stay here eunuch Li. Don't stop me." cried the prince full of anger

The prince continued to stare full of sadness at Xixi's body. He looked at Xixi with regret. For a while he just fell silent and looked at Xixi's body. Eunuch Li ordered all the palace servants and palace guards to leave this place. Eunuch Li gave the prince time to say goodbye to Xixi's body. Eunuch Li could only sigh.

"Xixi, do you feel uncomfortable there?" ask the prince slowly.

Unexpectedly, the prince took Xixi out of the coffin and carried her secretly into his room. He put Xixi on his bed. He left Xixi's body lying on his bed.

"Is it comfortable now?" whispered prince.

The prince slept beside Xixi and hugged her tightly.

"Your body is very cold. Let me warm it up." whispered the prince as he hugged her.

The prince hugged Xixi tightly and cried nonstop. He felt a deep loss. He has lost his teacher, his friend, even his girlfriend. Only he truly loved her. The prince was very sorry for what he had done in the past. If only he had known that it would be his last meeting, he would not have hurt Xixi. He would not be a loser and would dare say that he loved Xixi very much.

"I love you. I love you so much." said the sad prince.

He hugged her back and kissed her on the forehead. He was so lost, he had such bad thoughts. The prince all night just lay on his bed and accompanied Xixi. His mind was so stifled, his eyes were only able to catch the already frozen Xixi. .

"If we can meet again, I promise I will dare to say that I love you so much. I will ask the emperor to make you my consort. I'm not gonna hide anything anymore. To me you are everything. I am willing to give up the position of crown prince for the sake of being with you." whispered the prince softly.
