Chapter 11: The Residence of Commander Chen Zhen

Xixi was shocked as the prince pushed himself down. He just stared with eyes full of sadness. He was unable to chase after the prince, due to a feeling of shock and disbelief. As he tried to stand up, suddenly Eunuch Li was already behind him and called out to him.

"Darling Xixi's palace, what are you doing here?" said eunuch Li who surprised Xixi.

Xixi immediately looked back and saw eunuch Li with some of the palace guards.

"I'm sorry eunuch Li. I fell down" said Xixi with a small laugh.

Eunuch only shook his head and slightly frowned as he felt no wonder anymore with the attitude of Xixi's palace lady.

"Follow me. The emperor wants you to meet him." eunuch Li said as he helped Xixi stand up.

"What does the emperor want to talk to me about, eunuch Li?" ask Xixi curious.

"Later you will also know" said eunuch Li briefly.

Eunuch Li walked at the front with a few palace guards and Xixi. They walked quickly but still looked orderly leading to the eastern palace.

"Hamba is facing the emperor." said Xixi prostrating herself in front of him.

"Arise." the emperor commanded.

"I'd like to assign you to deliver the letter to the palace commander's residence. Tell him to meet me immediately at the palace" the emperor ordered.

"Hamba understood the emperor" Xixi said accepting the task and immediately left the palace.

Xixi accepted the task without understanding the intent of this emperor's order. However, for Xixi this was a good opportunity to investigate the residence of the palace commander. Xixi left with some palace guards. He was very curious about the letter he was holding, yet he couldn't possibly open it. On the way, Xixi was confronted by a man of great stature with a sword of cloud in his right hand.

"Who are you? What do you want?" tanya Xixi was firm.

The man did not answer his question and immediately wanted to attack Xixi. The palace guards instantly formed a formation to protect Xixi. They attacked the man. Xixi noticed the man's way of fighting and looked for his weaknesses. One by one the palace guards fell down by the sword of its clouds. Now it's just Xixi herself.

"It turns out you're a master of the cloud sword. Sorry for not recognizing you. I think the cloud sword master is dead because it has long since disappeared. Apparently now a member of the palace commander." said Xixi with a big laugh.

The cloud master was very upset listening to Xixi's rant. Without listening to Xixi's words, he immediately attacked Xixi. He attacked with his sword. The commander of the palace was ordered to train the prince in fighting in the palace. The palace commander tried to contain his emotions of disappointment at the emperor's decision. "Thank you for the benevolence of the emperor's heart" the palace chief said after receiving the edict.

"It is better that the court lady Xixi rest for a few days here, in order to recover your wounds. The emperor had asked me to welcome you and the palace guards, but it turned out that you came alone" the palace commander said with a pretense.

The commander of the palace was named Chen Zhe. He was the strongest high official as well as the right hand of the emperor who had been trusted for 20 years. The emperor trusted himself to take care of the security of the palace as well as the special forces owned by the palace. Xixi still does not know who she works with and the purpose behind this betrayal. He had to look for the evidence carefully.

"Hamba is very grateful to master Chen Zhe" Xixi said with a small smile.

The maid escorted Xixi into her room to rest. As he passed through every corner of the residence, Xixi remembered him in detail. He must not fail this time. He has to get that evidence.

"Please miss." said the waiter politely.

"Thank you." said Xixi softly.

The waiter came out of his room and left him alone. Xixi began to set her plan. He thought hard about the best thing to do. The journey was so tiring, that Xixi could not resist her drowsiness and ended up sound asleep. That night a servant knocked on his bedroom door and woke him up for dinner. Xixi who heard the knocking sound of the door, finally woke up and opened the door.

"Miss, you're being waited on by the master for dinner" said the waiter.

"thank you. I'll be there." said Xixi who was still sleepy.

Xixi walked towards the dining table. He ate with the family of commander Chen Zhen. Xixi responded well to Commander Chen Zhen's every conversation. The conversation looked relaxed but there was a rotten plan in it. Commander Chen Zhen was secretly figuring out to what extent Xixi knew the case of prince Xiao San. Every casual question raised by the commander felt intimidating. Xixi tried to hold back her anxiety and revealed a calm facial expression.

That night, Xixi finally understood that the commander-in-chief was trying to frame her. Xixi realized the commander was after her. It was possible that he found out that Xixi already had evidence of the masked man.

"I'd better be careful here. This commander is very cunning." Xixi said in her heart.
