Chapter 52: The Hill of Exposure (Part 1)

They make a very long journey. Although it felt very tiring, it was not worth their desire to take all their revenge. Along the way Xiao Jiwu always slept soundly. She was a little baby who was very understanding with her parents. Prince Xiao San and little concubine Xixi alternately rode the horse-drawn carriage. I don't think the trip lasted two months. The hill of emptiness was located very far away and remote. Not everyone can find it because it is hidden among the dark forest.

"Little concubine, get out of the carriage. Take a look." call prince Xiao San with a very sharp gaze.

"What's the prince?" ask little concubine Xixi.

Little concubine Xixi looked at the scene before her, she saw a dark mist shrouded with sparks of lightning bolts that seemed to want to strike. The fog sounded very quiet as no sound came out yet the flash was extremely frightening. The glint was like a whip that was whipping wildly.

"Prince come inside. Leave it to me." said little concubine Xixi.

The prince got into the horse carriage and guarded Xiao Jiwu. He believed that his wife could handle it. The little concubine held onto the horse's harness and directed the direction of the horse's path in order to avoid the fog trap. The little concubine was all her might avoiding the fog, but the fog was getting bigger and creepy. The little concubine took out her sword and tried to cleave the mist with her right hand while controlling the horse's harness in her left hand.

"Little concubine, are you okay?" the prince shouted anxiously.

"I'm fine, prince, don't worry. Take good care of our son. It may be that our journey is a little shaken up." cried the little concubine while fighting the fog.

The small concubine's sword attack did not affect the dark fog, instead the dark mist grew bigger. The little concubine did not want to give up that easily, she pointed her sword towards the dark mist and tried to destroy it. Although the lightning bolt struck the body of the little concubine to the brim with injuries, she was unwilling to budge. He continued to try to attack the dark fog. Efforts will not betray results. The mist began to disintegrate bit by bit and finally the little concubine managed to destroy it. After the dark mist disappeared, the little concubine immediately vomited blood. Apparently the fog attack was injuring his internal organs.

"Are you okay?" asked the prince with a panicked face.

"Hm, I'm fine. Let me recuperate. Can we rest up ahead. There is a small river" said the little concubine, grimacing in pain.

The prince sped up the horse-drawn carriage and decided to rest near the bank of the small stream. He allowed his wife to rest. He invited Xiao Jiwu to look for food near the stream. He continued walking until he found a plum tree and some fish that they could burn. Prince Xiao San did not forget to look for some wild plants to treat the small concubine's wounds.

"Do we have to go there, little boy?" ask the prince to his son.

Xiao Jiwu only chuckled as he moved his legs. Prince Xiao San walked down the river, until he found a very high gate made of thick plant tendrils. He tried to break through that gate, but to no avail. The gate looked very strange, when the prince tried to touch it, suddenly a thin layer of light appeared.

"What's really in there?" the prince in his heart.

"Well, father's son is very magical" said the prince as he pinched his son's cheek gently.

The prince slowly stepped his foot and began to enter the gate. He was very surprised when he saw a very beautiful forest in it. In the forest there is a very swift and beautiful waterfall. Around it there are flowers blooming and on it there are many butterflies and birds flying. Around the waterfall there is a clear and refreshing river flow in which there are fish swimming peacefully. At the end of the forest there are many peach trees that are producing very ripe fruit. The prince was very fascinated by the beauty of the small forest

The prince, who was still fascinated by the beauty of the forest, continued to walk forward until he found a black hole that was circling. The prince was unable to dodge it, his body was like it was attracted by that black hole. Prince Xiao San tightly held his son and attempted to let go of the pull, but he failed. His body was getting tighter and closer with the hole. His right leg had already gone into the hole, yet he kept trying to let go of the pull.

"What should I do? This body does not want to cooperate." said the prince while holding his left leg which began to enter the hole.

Until finally, suddenly there was a soft hand that pulled the prince's hand. He looked ahead, surprised to find that it was a little concubine trying to help him. Prince Xiao San tried to resist the attraction of the hole and the little concubine tried to pull the prince's hand.

"Prince, focus on yourself" said the little concubine trying to pull them away.

The little concubine endured her pain and tried to save her husband. Step by step, with all their might pulled them and finally succeeded. After exiting the black hole, a small concubine slashed through the hole and disappeared. The prince who was still panting in fear, tried to stabilize his breathing. He had not expected that within this extremely beautiful forest, there was such a terrifying strange thing.

"What was that little concubine? why did I just see him?" asked the prince curiously.

"The "black hole was a fragment of the dark fog we saw earlier. They came from dark spirits trapped in the forest" the concubine explained calmly.

"I didn't expect there to be such a creepy thing" the prince said with a sigh

"That's just the beginning. The prince should prepare himself when he gets to the hill of nothingness" said the little concubine Xixi

Little concubine Xixi took them back to the carriage, if only the little concubine had not caught up with them, she had no idea what would happen to them.
