“So what are your plans going forward?”
I who was standing in front of the exit came to a halt as soon as I found Ador at the door.
“I told you if I had one plan yesterday. Why do I repeat the same sentence.” I flattened out and tried to walk past him.
But Ador got in my way. I fell silent and went back on another path. Once again Ador again blocked me with a big smile.
I called out ketus. “What are you really doing, huh?”
Ador chuckles. “Not that plan I meant. But your vacation plans.”
I squinted my eyes. “I told you I'd be back in the dorm today.”
“Oi! At least spend more time with me. We haven't met for two years. How could you so easily step your foot out of this lab.”
I rubbed my hair. “Alright, so what do you want?” In the end I gave up.
Ador patted my shoulder. “Just follow me, you might be surprised as soon as you see it.”
We got back on the bus and headed to an area. Oi! I know the area. That area was none other than the area where I was following a match in order to bring out my internal energy. This place looks different compared to night. More crowded and clean. I thought the abandoned vacant buildings had nothing to occupy, but this afternoon they were all open and full of shops. No snow today. The sky was bright and the sun was shining brightly. It makes the air not too cold.
We stopped right in front of a two-story building. Ador rushed into the building. I tailed behind Ador like a chick following its mother while looking around me, who knows find it interesting.
As soon as I entered the building, several people in suits were seen exiting the building. When I saw one of them, I was shocked and rushed to him. I forgot that Ador was still walking in front of me.
“Badas.” Sapaku.
Badas looked surprised and turned to look at me. Then whisper slowly. “What are you doing here?”
I scratched my head that wasn't itchy. “Akupun also don't know why I'm here.”
Badas stared at the crowd and made a hand gesture. They respectfully left us both.
“I only have fifteen minutes to talk to you, Zenzen. If you have anything to talk about, talk about.”
I scratched my head once more. I don't know what to talk about. “I was just greeting you.” Short words.
Badas blinked both his eyes. “So there's nothing you want to talk to me about?”
I'm nodding. Reaffirming the question.
Badas patted his eel. “There is no other choice, because you have already made me do my best in front of my sisters, I will treat you. At least we can still spend a moment before we really can't meet again, right?”
I rolled my eyeballs. “I don't think that's a bad idea.”
Badas took me to one of the nearby cafes and ordered some food to accompany our conversation.
“Hey, why are you just quiet?” Badas asked coldly and looked at me with a sharp look.
I forgot that I had a bad relationship with him. I swallowed spit. Even though we had a bad relationship in the past, I still cherish it as part of the group of thieves. They were my place, however, when I could no longer find my way.
“Why do you call them sister?”
Badas smiled thinly. “It's obvious, right? In any mob rule, even if they are not your siblings, we should call them brothers or family. Like don't like I have to do it.”
I was silent for a moment. Looking for other topics to talk about. But I really don't have an idea. I just wanted to say hello to him earlier. I can't believe he thought I was going to talk to him.
“So what are you doing here?” This time Badas started the question.
“Now, I was with someone and he took me to the two-story building that was.”
Badas flicked his fingers. “Looks like I know what you're going to do there. It's kind of like a central bank. Maybe someone who is with you will take the money that has been collected thanks to your match last time.”
I'm nodding. “So how about your hand?”
Badas moves his iron-clad bionic right hand. “As you can see, I'm fine. By the way what's your next plan? I warned you to get out of this town, Zenzen. Why are you still here and delay everything before it's too late? Or maybe someone is holding you back.”
I swallowed spit. Badas looked at me with a probing look. But it's true. In the meantime, I can't do much. It's too rash if I run now. At least I want to create an opportunity for me to achieve my goal.
“I have a plan.” I said briefly as I stared at the steaming coffee cup.
“Plan?”
“Iya, I am currently studying at one of the prestigious academies in this city. At least until I graduate from that place, I can carry out my plans and achieve my wishes. Therefore I will not run away from this city before I finish what I have to do.”
Badas smiled knot. “You are awesome. I really don't regret getting to know you, Zenzen. I should have never opposed your words and insulted you. But in reality I did. Maybe I'm a little jealous of you. Ah, forget... It's just the past. At least our lives are different now. You should be able to enjoy your life as best you can, Zenzen. Don't end up like me or the Coup.”
I'm speechless. Don't know what to say.
“So what's your academy name?”
“Hei! It is only fitting that when I fight with you your fighting style is different from the ones I have fought before. You clearly master some martial techniques that make your fighting style classy. My selfhood of you is getting bigger.”
I smiled thinly. He praised me too much. I don't really deserve that compliment though.
Suddenly a word appeared in my mind. Ador's words about the money system in this city. I wanted to tell Badas, but I doubt it. I'm afraid he'll feel really bad and blame himself. Or worse, he'll cause trouble.
I'm about to open my mouth. But stopped once heard the sound of notification from Badas' gadget. Badas asked for a minute and checked for a message. Then he closed his gadget again.
“So, what do you want to say?” Badas continued the conversation.
I doubt. I finally said something different from what I wanted to say before.
Fifteen minutes passed very quickly. Our conversation had to stop inevitably.
“Hei, Zenzen!” Badas stopped me from leaving.
I turned around and raised both of my eyebrows. Watching Badas who was reaching into the contents of his bag then threw a miniature plane at me. I caught him and looked at Badas with a confused look.
“I think a little boy like you likes something related to a miniature. Keep it with you. I hope you find your way out, Dik”
I blinked. Badas just added the word “Dik” at the end of his sentence. I'm so glad to hear that. There is a saying that a person's relationship can improve because it has been separated for a long time. Maybe that's what happened to me.
Badas waved his hand and rushed over to the crowd of people in suits who had been waiting for him on the side of the road. They then left me who was sculpting on the side of the road while holding a miniature aircraft given Badas.
Ador who just came out of the building watched me standing in front of the building while staring at the miniature plane. Ador rushed to me.
“Oi! Where have you been, huh? I've been looking everywhere for you.” Ador glared at me.
I ignored his words. Still staring towards the miniature black plane with both wings pointed and has thorns on its side. I have to admit, Badas' taste is very bad.
“What is this thing? You went just to buy stuff like this?” Ador who from earlier noticed my expression finally asked.
“Not, this is a gift.” I looked back to the front. As soon as I realized, Badas had disappeared at the end of the road.
Ador shook his head slowly. “Something must have happened while I was inside the building, right? Your face looks different than usual. You are obviously happy at this time.”
I hurried to turn my face flat. “Where do you know I look happy, huh?” I asked ketus.
Ador waved his hand. “Already, it doesn't matter now. Well, this is yours.” Ador handed me a card.
“What is this thing?” I received the card.
“This is the money that was collected thanks to your match last night. The number is huge. Ah, I don't need to mention it. Now this money is your right. Whatever you want to use for what this money is.”
I'm nodding. It can be used someday if I need it. After all in order to reach my goal I also need some money.
We're back in the lab. There's nothing else I need to do in this lab. Be me preparing my luggage to return to the academy. Ador who watched me packing my things just shook his head. I knew he would try to urge me or give me a reason not to return to the Talent Academy as soon as possible.
“You sure you will go this afternoon?” Ador asked on the sidelines I tidied up my things.
“Iya.” I answered briefly.
“You sure you don't want to rest any longer?” He asked back.
“No.”
“Hei! That's how excited you are to return to Talent Academy. Though this laboratory is where you come back.”
“I have no place to return other than my house.” I said cold. Still busy packing my things. “Just relax, I will soon realize your dream so that I no longer burden your mind. I have made the best possible plan. So I'm sure one hundred percent can defeat the proud disciple of Cario and make him crumble.”
Ador nodded. “I already know you can do it. But at least give me a more detailed explanation of your plan.”
“I know you're just stalling my time so I don't go this fast, Ador. So stop asking me to do things so I can go back to the academy immediately and finish what I have to do.”
“But I'm your wali. You should have spent a moment with this walimu who has financed your life in Talenta Academy.” Ador insisted he did not want to lose.
My hand stopped. I hurried to put all the items in the bag and stood up. Staring at Ador while smiling and nodding. “You are my guardian, but you are not my parents.” Short words.
Ador cleared slowly. “I know that. You don't have to be that honest, son.”
“If you know that, there is no reason to delay my departure to Talent Academy, right?” I smiled knot. Then start leaving the room.
But my steps stopped once I remembered one thing. “Ador, it doesn't seem fair that I'm the only one doing everything you've ever asked for. Didn't you promise me something?”
Ador chuckles. “Of course I promise you something. Let's see if you can really do it.”
