The Destruction of Batana

The Destruction of Batana
IRON HANDS 2

Tomorrow I feel better. I can even sit easily. No longer in pain as before.

“You're really lucky, son. Your recovery is going very fast.” Ruzdora laughs sumringah. He just checked my condition.

I replied with a thin smile. Until I started asking the questions gathered in my head like neatly stored documents.

“Ruzdora, please tell me what happened during my fainting. Started from Keios.” City I asked for an explanation with a serious face.

“Alright, Actually Miss Jora deployed special forces without informing you. In fact, all your activities and activities we monitor. He is anxious if something unwanted happens during your journey. Therefore Miss Jora asked Mayor Keios to prepare special forces. I was involved in that army. Although Miss Jora is not the son of the mayor, Mayor Keios loves her very much. The soldiers you put with me I asked to join the special forces. On the grounds that they are important people that I will leave as a nurse. Yeah, it was the hell while you were gone I taught them some things from the world of medicine.”

I scratched my head that wasn't itchy. Feeling guilty for leaving them to Ruzdora.

“Take it easy, though I'm glad you brought them all, Lian. My big house is no longer empty. Let's continue our conversation. We hurried after you three weeks after your departure. We passed a different path to you because we avoided the city or bad weather that would interfere with our trip. Until we get information from Miss Jora that you will be heading to the City of Iron Clever. We rush to the city first before you.”

“Unfortunately I don't know if Zenzen already knew of your whereabouts.he made contact with Mayor Keios to hand you over to him for free. In return he would not harass Keios City if his plan succeeded. He will also let Miss Jora return home safely. I don't know how Zenzen contacted the mayor and made the deal. Our mission has changed completely. The mayor told us to pick up Miss Jora. It's a shame I couldn't be directly involved on the day of your arrest, but I was eager to go and try to save you even though I knew it was a rash thing. I only heard that Miss Jora had a plan to kill Zenzen and she refused to return to Keios City. That's what happened.”

I know that Jora has arranged all this. But I won't tell Ruzdora. It would be a big deal if the mayor knew that Jora betrayed him and had conspired with Zenzen.

Ruzdora resumed talks. “Until Miss Jora asks for additional troops to fight in Trench City. Once there the City of Trench has been ravaged. Especially in their headquarters. We searched for survivors and found you lying unconscious.”.

“How about the others? I mean Jora, Marko, Vero, and Bundara? So, is Zenzen still alive? And how many died?” I interrupted Ruzdora's sentence, remembering that they also had a direct fight with Zenzen.

“They were seriously injured and are still in a coma. Relax, at least the medical technology in this city is more sophisticated than in Keios City. The death toll was about seventy and they were properly buried, though we could not take them all back to Keios City. About Zenzen we can't find him. I don't know what happened to her, Lian. Sorry.”

“It's okay, Ruzdora. Then does Mayor Keios know about this matter? And how long have I been unconscious?”

“Of course he knows. We ask for time until Miss Jora is fully healed. I gave the excuse that Zenzen reneged on the agreement and the mayor was furious. He asked us to prepare an agent to kill Zenzen. Then it's three weeks since you fainted.”

I patted my eel. Three weeks? Is that true? Even so I was a little relieved to hear that my friends survived. I can't imagine what it would be like if they lost their lives because of my stupid actions. I will be haunted by regrets for the rest of my life.

“Ruzdora, can you tell me how my friends are doing?” I asked lirih.

“You sure you want to hear it?” Ruzdora asked to make sure.

I nodded firmly.

“But on condition that you must not blame yourself.” Ruzdora raised her index finger in front of her face.

I nodded once more.

“Bundara and Marko suffered broken bones in their ribs, legs, and wrists. Some organs in their stomachs were almost damaged. Then Vero suffered a fracture in the back and some injuries due to a bullet.  And lastly, Jora, her vocal cords are almost broken and her neck bones are cracked. Fortunately the Iron-Savvy City was willing to help us. They also provided medical assistance. Thanks to such assistance the injured survivors can survive their critical condition.”

I swallowed spit. My tongue is bitter.

“How long will they be fully healed, Ruzdora?” I forced to ask.

“They're not like you, Lian. Their healing took a long time. The fastest they recover within a month more.”

I squeezed my fingers. That was a long time ago.

“Hei! I told you not to blame yourself, Lian. They fought with you of their own accord. Now you just have to focus on your recovery, Lian.”

Ruzdora's right. This is not a time for sadness. What happens let it happen. Right now I have to find out where Zenzen is, as long as he's alive, we're all in danger. And I know who the right person is. Tatu and Natania. They both will help me. Also about RP-2. My goal is still the same. Destroy the robot on the face of the earth. About my friends I will entrust completely to Ruzdora.

The next day my right hand could be fully moved. It's just still hurts. Some bandages on other parts of my body started to be released. I tried to stand up from my bed helped by some nurses. I lay there for three weeks and it disturbed my balance. When I tried to stand up, I almost fell down. The nurses helped me. It will be difficult to recover fully.

The nurses took me to a special room in a wheelchair. There were some Keios Warriors in the room. They all seem to be trying to walk the same way as me. One or two have difficulty. Some of the others seem easy to do. Maybe they all have almost the same case as me. Coma for a few weeks.

The nurses helped me stand between two long irons as a training ground. I feel like a toddler just learning to walk. I held on to both irons. Not too difficult. My legs that initially felt limp got longer and stronger. Within minutes, I was able to walk normally. I even took off my grip on the two irons. The nurses applauded. I was embarrassed while wiping my hair.

The nurses allowed me to wander around the hospital for a moment. I didn't waste this opportunity. Of course I went to the room where my friends were taken care of. Ruzdora was still busy treating the other injured patients. So I can't bother him or ask him some other things. I decided to ask the nurse where my friends' room was.

Fortunately, their room is not difficult to find. They are placed in the same area. It's just that the room is one of those terrible rooms for me. I even gulped at the writing with a dim purple light. The room reads, “STADIUM TRIPLE.” That's how it stamped.

In this hospital the patients are divided into four stages. Stage one is where patients with minor injuries and treatment period in just a few days. Stage two is reserved for patients like me. Being badly injured just doesn't reach a critical condition. Stage three is aimed at victims who are still in critical condition and it can still be estimated how long they will be aware. And stage four... You can think about it yourself. I really don't want to talk about it.

I finally arrived at the front of the room where my friends were. Their rooms are side by side. I don't have to look for them one by one. My heart feels sore staring at the condition of the four of them. Ruzdora had already explained in detail their circumstances. I still feel sad when I see it firsthand. Duck.

I clenched my hand. I will definitely avenge Zenzen. I will definitely reply to him dozens of times over. My face turned back to the front. Then it passed leaving the area while carrying the resolve that I had rounded. I will also contact Tatu and discuss the matter with him while focusing on my recovery while refining the powers that I have attained.

“You can't use your power for a month.”

“Eh?”

Ruzdora just met me in my room. He forbade me to use my powers.

“What do you mean, Ruzdora?” Of course I object to the ban.

Ruzdora let out a long breath. “I see the negative side of the use of such tools, Lian.”

“Native side?” I asked lirih.

Ruzdora nodded. “The tool does have many uses and is very useful for humans. But the price to be paid is very expensive. If the use is on a large scale, the device will absorb your energy and transform it in the form of the power you want to use. If the energy in your body is absorbed by the device, you could lose your natural ability to recover. The cells that are supposed to close your wound will work slower and you will need a longer time to recover. And that's proven now. Though I predict you will be completely healed within a week. But I missed. And I find out the reason.”

I swallowed spit. I don't know if it's that dangerous.

Ruzdora is back in her conversation. “ I found out what happened to you in the fight against Zenzen. Until one of the soldiers told me he saw a bright blue light enveloping your hands and feet. He also said he felt like his body was being hit by the wind with great force. It was then that I concluded that you used your power beyond limits. And it impacts your body.”

I breathe out slowly. A month? That was a very long time. I can't relax continuously while Zenzen is hanging around out there.

BRACKET!

I am no stranger to this situation. The tattoo just opened just about any door of the room. The nurses who tried to prevent it could do nothing. I asked him to meet me anyway.

“HAHAHA! I didn't think you'd call me this fast, Lian. Though it's only been a few hours since we met.” Laughing tattoo. His body moved.

“More precisely forty-eight hours. And it's been two days, Tatu. How can you call it just a few hours?” Natania responded coldly.

They are still dressed the same. Gaudy and weird looking. Ruzdora, of course, did not remain silent. The debate is inevitable. Ruzdora finally gave up as soon as I explained the situation. This time he did not limit the visiting hours. Let us talk as long as we want.

“So, please tell me more details how do you beat Zenzen?” The tattoo asks impatiently. As for the size of the old man like him, he was very unsuitable for acting that way.

“But let me get this straight. I didn't really beat Zenzen.” I wave my hand. “As I explained yesterday, I used a tool my mother created. It can give strength and recovery to my body. I was dying and watching my friends in danger. I can't stay still and force the tool to give me more power. We fought each other's fists. After that I don't know where Zenzen is. But there's a chance he's out there. Maybe they're gathering troops or making plans. I don't know.”

“What's the trigger?” Natania.

I raised my eyebrows. Ask for an explanation of the question.

“What is the trigger of the tool?” Natania completes her question.

I rolled my eyeballs. “This is just my guess, it looks like emotions and determination are the triggers.”

“Gosh!” Tattoo patted his eel. Shouted surprised.

What was? Is this device terrible?

“Tatu, that means Batrice put Emotional Modifer into his body.” Natania was surprised.

Tattoo nodded. “Emotional Modifer or abbreviated as EM is an emotional manipulation tool. He can turn emotions into power. Emotions are divided into three important emotions. Sad, angry, and happy. When you are angry, your body will emit heat. From the heat EM will absorb the air and turn it into concrete or real form. From the heat, EM will produce weapons and endurance. If a person is sad, his body will feel cold, from these emotions EM will turn it into healing. And the last is happy which emits warm air as a charger from the tool. We did it, but it didn't work. The project is too dangerous. It seems Batrice perfected the tool.  Since when did he put that tool on you?”

I held my chin. “I don't know for sure because the tool itself blocks my memory. But there's a chance it was implanted in me when I was ten. That year coincided with the tragedy of the rise of the Border Guard Robot and the nuclear explosion.”

“Hei! That means Batrice invented the tool long before the tragedy without telling us, Natania.” The tattoo turned towards Natania.

Natania just shrugged her shoulders. I don't know about this tool.
