CREATION OF MONSTERS

The song I sing

The feeling I feel is pain

The life I live with hatred

The path I walked on the barbed field

So I decided it was raining today.

I woke up when I heard someone singing the song. I found myself back in the treatment room. Just a week ago I came out of this room and now I'm back. It felt like I had committed a crime and returned to prison. The rain is still out there. It's just not as hard as when I was fighting Bastian. Now I know that this room is not soundproof. I used to think this room was soundproof because there was not a single child in the next room. Maybe because the room was empty or something. I still can't feel my bionic legs and hands. Maybe Ador hasn't fixed it. I tried to look around, I found Adorlah singing the lyrics.

“How do you know that song?” I asked lirih. My energy has not fully recovered.

“The title of the song is ‘Sembilu’, a song created by someone who has a permanent disability on both legs. The song he created was based on his bitter life story. Nevertheless... At least before the end of his life, he tasted the sweetness of life.” Obviously Ador while assembling a bionic hand. “What an amazing story. From being just a street busker, she turned into a singer known throughout the country. Say his name, then people will go out of the house and look for his whereabouts. Anyone who does not know him, will only be called kudet aka lack of updates. Plus you'll be considered unfashionable or out of date.”

The room was silent again. Leave the sound of the clink of the screwdriver and the round of the bolt.

“By the way why are you asking that, son?”

I looked up at the ceiling of the room. “I've heard of it from someone.” Answer me flatly.

Ador again fiddled with the bionic hand, then came to me while carrying the hand.

“This is not as good as the previous one. At least for a while you can use it until I make a new one.” Ador started to put the hand together.

“Bastian's Problem. How's it going?”

Ador's hand movement stopped for a moment and then resumed the installation of the bionic hand.

“Try movement.”

I'm nodding. Started to move the hand slowly with my mind. Not bad. It's just that for the degree of subtlety and flexibility, I prefer the previous one. But it's nothing. After all, Ador will remake a new one as he said earlier, this bionic hand is only for a minute.

“I will also make your right foot. For your left foot, I've tried to fix it a little. The bionic leg suffered only minor damage to the battery due to overheating. Even so I will still replace all your bionic bodies. Oh yeah, about the other hand I won't make it first. So for the time being you can only use your right hand. My rock tribe is gone and I have to pick up the other ingredients. Then you can't move either. Maybe you're not aware because some iron body I put on you makes you feel cold, but you have the flu and your real body temperature is pretty hot. Even last night you were delirious calling someone's name.”

I'm nagging. I just found out about it once I felt my nose a little itchy and my throat a little sore.

Ador was silent for a moment, “Soal Bastian I took care of it yesterday. He was kicked out of this lab right at night. I honestly really want to forgive him. But watching him do this terrible thing to me made me no longer see what part of him I should forgive. He told me you hurt him too. But I know why you did it, you just wanted to stop it. Other children have also testified. At first they thought you were trying to provoke him, but as soon as I showed you the CCTV footage in your room, they were silent in a thousand languages. Ducking shame over their deeds all.”

I smiled thinly. I did not expect that in every room installed CCTV. It turned out that we were all completely under Ador's supervision.

“I let him wear my bionic leg. Even if I don't repair the damage. I'm sure those bionic legs won't last long. And for his eyes I didn't make it back either. Let it be a punishment for him. After all, he had also reached eighteen years old, which meant that he was old enough to carve his own life story. He can no longer depend on me.” Ador. There was a deep sadness on his face.

“You're sad because you failed, right?” I responded.

Ador jerks. I've guessed. He was only sad that he had failed for the umpteenth time. Failing to control someone he has been educating for years. I'm sure Ador thinks that Bastian will continue to obey him. But in reality, Bastian still can not obey some things.

“You're right. I think I'm more pathetic. For years I taught him with all my heart. But I could not believe that she still had her pain and trauma for many years. How could I not realize such a small thing?”

“It's only natural you don't realize it. After all, who can see the contents of someone's heart. Even a genius scientist would never be able to solve the complexity of a feeling.”

Ador nodded, he approved my words. I smiled thinly. Just like Ador who never knew anything about my feelings. Let him not know. Because someday, I will reveal my true nature.

“What about Arina? The last time I saw him, he was slapped hard by Bastian.”

“Arina is still unconscious. No, I'm sure it was him who wanted to make her unconscious. Yesterday's events must have left him in a deep shock and it made him look back on his past. He lost both of his hearing due to the incident. But I will soon make him a new hearing aid.”

I don't know why I don't feel sorry at all. Remembering the sentence he said to Bastian about me. It's about not listening to my words. I think it was the perfect punishment for him. So that he learns to always listen to the words of others. Not just hearing what you want to hear.

“You rest first. I'm gonna go find some spare parts. I've prepared a book for you to read and some stuff so you don't get bored. If you need something, you can call the other kids through the button next to your bed. The button is connected to a room. Anyone who hears about it will come to you soon.”

I nodded in understanding. Ador started to shake. Leave the room and close the door. Leave me alone in this room.

The next day, I was already allowed out of the treatment room. Fortunately, the fluku is not too severe. But enough to make me sneeze a few times. This really sucks. Plus I can only use my right hand to do various activities. My legs did not go well either. Ador assembled it in a hurry, so I'm a Zenzen who walks like an undead in movies.

But there was something strange today, as long as I walked into my room, the other children greeted me kindly. I don't even know their names. One or two even offered to help me walk. I-i refused. It feels so uncomfortable to be treated that way. Even so, they follow me wherever I go. I stopped right in front of my room. Silent for a moment. There were two kids following me in the back. They both stopped. As if waiting for me to say something. I took a long breath.

The two children looked at each other. “We are not following you, but rather want to enter our room.”

I exclaimed stifled. Forgot that those two kids were my roommates. I rushed in while enduring the overwhelming embarrassment. I immediately laid myself on my bed. But the dust in my bed made me sneeze. I sat down again, looking for a tissue, but I found the two children in front of me and handed me a box of tissue. I sighed softly. Then take the tissue from their hands and rush to sleep again. Surprisingly, the two children had not left me. I complained, why didn't they leave immediately? Once again I sat down and stared intently at the two of them.

“You can go now.” I flat-out.

“OK, if you need anything or anything, you can ask us for help.” Said a child. “Oh yeah, you don't know my name yet, do you. I'm Soren.”

“I Kenny. You can call me Ken.”

I nodded no matter. Back to my sleeping position.

“You want us to massage?”

I'm spotan sitting. “Go!”

This could really drive me crazy. As long as I was gone, some of the children who passed by me continuously offered help. I think Ador is overreacting. This is so outrageous. I wanted to quickly obtain my new bionic body so that I would not continue to accept this humiliation. It feels like all the attention is now on me. I never expected this before. All I want is calm. And the calm I mean is that I just want to be alone and be alone.

As usual, I looked at the twilight sky with clouds moving slowly from the sidelines. The atmosphere feels comfortable and peaceful. This time no children bothered me. At least for now I don't want to be disturbed. Actually, there was a kid trying to greet me. But I threw him out first. Tell me if I don't need help or know anyone. Even though they were all a few years older than me, now they respect me. Maybe it's because of my fight with Bastian. Or because Ador told them to? I don't know. I am a little relieved by this condition. No one would dare to bother me.

Except one guy.

I who was busy looking at the sky while thinking about some things was suddenly disturbed by the sound of approaching footsteps. I did not look to the source of the voice.  I knew this was gonna happen. Someone must have approached me again to ask me something. Or just say hello.

“Go as long as I speak carefully.”

The move stopped. “Zenzen!”

I'm turning. I found Arina standing in front of me.

“You don't need to shout I've heard too.” I called out ketus. Turn back the face.

“Sorry.”

The mood was silent again. Leave the rustle of field grass that is blown slowly by the cradle of the twilight wind.

“Why again? If it's about Bastian, I'll never talk about it again.”

Arina clenched her jaw. “I lost my other hearing.”

“It's obvious, right? Yesterday Bastian slapped you until you bounced. Thank goodness only your hearing is lost.” I smiled cynically while propping up my chin. “Why? You're just sorry now?”

Arina remained silent. He squeezed his fingers. He looked down and bit his lips.

“Hey, are you not listening to me now? Didn't Ador make a hearing aid for you?”

Arina nodded slowly. Stay in a down position. At first glance, he looked like an eight-year-old child.

“Actually what happened to you and Bastian yesterday?”

“I told you, if this is the case I won't speak.”

“Not, it's not about him. But about you.”

“So now you will listen to me? Yesterday's incident must have made you realize how important it is to listen to the words of others. Too bad you were late to realize it” I shook my head. Act disappointed in him.

“Alright, I'll tell you. I really want to beat him up.” I responded briefly.

“Why? Why do you want to beat him up?”

I rubbed my forehead. “ Hey, I'm not the convoluted type like you. I've answered it and my answer is ‘I want to beat him’. Hasn't that sentence explained anything? Of course it has. For the most part, I tell you the details. You can also watch CCTV footage in Ador's room. I don't need to explain everything. Sucks. If you love her, why don't you just run away from this place and come with her. Or maybe Ador is holding you back? Do I need to tell her you want to go? What do I need I—”

“Enough!” Arina exclaimed loudly.

I scrunched my forehead. I really don't understand his behavior.

Arina started to open her mouth. But before he spoke, I interrupted him first.

“If this is an apology, I will not accept it.”

I stood up and moved from my seat. Step away from him.

“How can you forgive me?”

Stalled steps. Then turn around and stare at him, “I'd rather leave here than have to forgive you.” I step back. “Oh one more. From now on I'll assume we don't know each other. If I cross paths I will only think of you as a stranger. I won't say your name or try to greet you. At first, we didn't know each other. Don't misunderstand me. All this time I only knew your name. Take it well.” I stepped away.

As I began to move away from her, I could hear her heartbreaking sobs. I don't feel pity at all. Let it. Oi! don't call me a bad guy. I just wanted to teach him a lesson. That'sallthatis. Let him remember this day. Let him make this day part of his nightmare.
